Chapter 31: Chapter 30
A portal opened in the space where God and Abzu were conversing as the two beings looked at it as Zadkiel flew from inside it. He was followed by Tiamat who was surprised at seeing Abzu as she looked at him bewildered.
"Abzu?" Tiamat called out confused.
"Hello sister, shocked?" Abzu said with a smile.
"How?" Tiamat asked confused.
"I managed to separate my consciousness from my physical body before it was destroyed and came here to ask for help. And I see that he has succeeded in his task." Abzu said with a smile.
"Good job my son." God said with a smile.
"Thank you Father." Zadkiel said with a smile.
"What do... you want... to do?" Tiamat asked Abzu as she looked at him.
"I have no interest in the throne so they can have it. In actuality, I'm happy to not have the responsibility of the throne since I don't have to administer our pantheon. I would rather explore the world and see what is in it than rule." Abzu said with a smile.
"Then what... should I... do?" Tiamat asked him confused.
"Honestly, you should choose. Even if we are husband and wife officially, it's not actually true in a sense." Abzu said catching Zadkiel's attention.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Zadkiel asked confused.
"Well, even if the Gods of our pantheon are our children, they were created due to our Instincts rather than our conscious thought, in the case of Tiamat anyway. Her instincts had told her to create children which she did while I went along with it since I thought I could get a successor. After that was done we had not done it since, though we did become known as husband and wife throughout the other pantheons." Abzu said to him.
"So you don't consider her your wife?" Zadkiel asked him surprised.
"As far as the others are concerned, we are husband and wife. But according to us we are just siblings who created children due to necessity and instinct." Abzu said to him in a nonchalant tone.
"Huh. I didn't think it would be like that." Zadkiel said as he blinked his eyes.
"Well Tiamat, what do you want to do?" Abzu asked her as he looked at her.
At his words the goddess looked down as she pondered on the question while the others watched her.
"My children... don't need... me... I don't... know what... to do... I don't... want to... explore like... you... But..." Tiamat said before she raised her head and looked at Zadkiel.
"But what?" Abzu asked as he noticed her looking at the angel.
"He vowed... to protect... me... I want... to stay... here until... I find... out what... I want... to do..." Tiamat said to him as he looked at him.
"I see. Then I guess he is in good hands." Abzu said with a smile.
"You agree to it that easily." Zadkiel said surprised.
"More so because God is here. He is known to be someone who keeps his words and vows and is very good. I know that he will make sure that Tiamat will be fine. Right?" Abzu said before asking God.
"Of course, she's a child of Enki. I don't mind protecting her or keeping her here in heaven." God said with a smile.
"I'm glad then. Having your word is more than enough for me to know that she is in good hands." Abzu said with a smile.
"You're not going right now are you?" Zadkiel asked him at hearing his words.
"No. I would like to get some more rest before I go exploring and learning. I'll also teach Tiamat about some things while I'm here." Abzu said to him as he crossed his arms.
"I suppose that will help her immensely." Zadkiel said as he looked at the goddess alongside the other two.
Tiamat just blinked her eyes and tilted her head confused which was quite cute to look at causing the three to chuckle further confusing the goddess.
"Alright Tiamat, time for me to teach you about the world." Abzu said in an amused tone as he looked at her.
"Ok..." Tiamat said to him as she slowly nodded.
Time skip
It has been two days since his battle with Tiamat, and then he brought her to Heaven. Marduk has proclaimed that he has killed Tiamat and has become the ruler of the Babylonian pantheon, something which God and his archangels know aren't true.
Abzu had been teaching Tiamat more about the world due to how innocent she can be and having a mind similar to a beast didn't help that much. But he kind of succeeded and then he entrusted her to God and his angels before he left Heaven to explore the vast world.
Right now Zadkiel is at the entrance to the Garden of Eden with Tiamat and Gabriel at his right and left side respectively as the Goddess is looking at the garden with wide eyes.
"Pretty trees..." Tiamat said as she saw the various amount of trees in the Garden.
Gabriel giggled a bit at her words as Zadkiel just smiled at her as he could agree that the trees in the Garden are indeed pretty.
"Yes. Now let's go inside the Garden." Zadkiel said as she nodded.
Then the two walked inside the Garden as Tiamat looked at all the various plants and flowers. She also saw many small animals, birds, insects etc. The living beings there except the plants all noticed Tiamat and looked at her as they could feel the aura coming off of her which she was releasing unintentionally.
The three of them walked and soon saw Adam in the distance laying on the back of a bear while he is surrounded by other animals. Lilith was also sitting on a rock and petting a rabbit on her lap with a smile with closed eyes. But then the two opened their eyes and immediately looked at the direction of the three as they looked at Tiamat.
But when they saw Zadkiel and Gabriel with Tiamat they relaxed as they knew that if those two are there then things will be fine. Lilith placed the rabbit on the ground before she got up and walked to them as Adam also started to walk towards them.
"Hey Lilith, Adam, I want you to meet Tiamat." Zadkiel said as he introduced the goddess to them.
"Tiamat? But I thought Marduk had killed her." Lilith said surprised.
"Clearly that's not the case. I suppose big brother had saved her or father had saved her before he death." Adam said to her as he looked at Tiamat.
Tiamat is meanwhile looking at the two new people in front of her as she analysed them. She could feel a dark power from Lilith and a light power from Adam.
"They are?.." Tiamat asked as she looked at Zadkiel.
"Right. Tiamat meet Adam, the first human and Lilith, one of the first demons." Zadkiel said as he introduced them to her.
"Demon?" Tiamat asked confused as she looked at Lilith again.
To Tiamat she didn't look like a demon, well like the demons in her pantheon anyways.
"It's nice to meet you Tiamat. So big brother, why are you bringing her here? Is it to just show her the Garden or is she living here?" Lilith asked him with a smile.
"That will be up to her. Why don't you show the animals to her, I think Tiamat will love it." Zadkiel said to her.
"Alright then. Tiamat, would you like to see the animals in the Garden?" Lilith asked the goddess.
"Yes I... would like... to see... the animals." Tiamat said to her in response.
"Then come on, you will love them." Lilith said with a smile as she walked with Tiamat following behind as the other three watched them.
"You can also go play with the animals Gabriel. I know you love to play with them." Zadkiel said to Gabriel without even looking.
"Huh? Oh well, you don't mind do you?" Gabriel asked with a blush.
"I don't and neither does Adam. You can go and play with the animals." Zadkiel said to which she nodded happily.
"I'll be going to play then." Gabriel said before she went to find some cute animals to play with as the two men watched her.
"So, did you defeat Tiamat to bring her here or used your words?" Adam asked him as he turned and looked at the angel.
"I had to defeat since she wasn't open to talking." Zadkiel said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"I see. It must've been hard yes?" Adam asked him as he saw Lilith and Tiamat looking at the animals as the goddess is hugging a rabbit.
"It was. But I still managed to defeat her, though she was able to damage me." Zadkiel said to him with a smile.
"I guess it's granted considering that she is a First Generation Primordial Goddess born directly from Enki. So, is there anything else you want to talk about with me?" Adam asked him as he looked at her.
"Yes, more specifically, I was thinking about getting you a wife." Zadkiel said with a smile as Adam's eyes widened.
