Chapter 127: Chapter 127: The Underworld
Meanwhile, in the Underworld—
Blake's bold decision to reveal his presence before everyone sparked heated discussions among the devil nobles and elders watching the broadcast.
"So, this is the rumored boyfriend of the Gremory princess in the human world? He's so arrogant."
"Hah! Does this guy really think he can compete with the third son of the Phenex family for the Gremory princess? Utterly ridiculous."
"Wait, didn't someone say he's the eldest son of the Sliva family, a clan of Magicians? Maybe he has some tricks up his sleeve."
"Even if he's the eldest son of the Sliva family, he's nothing more than a failure who was cast out. What could he possibly do?"
"Exactly. Judging from how things are going, the Phenex boy has already secured his victory in this game."
Most devils dismissed Blake as overconfident and doomed to fail.
Of course, there were exceptions.
"Blake, you managed to win Rias's heart. Show me what you're capable of," murmured Sona, Rias's childhood friend and rival, as she watched the scene unfold with her peerage.
As the princess of the Sitri family, a pureblood High Class devil house, and the younger sister of Serafall Leviathan, one of the Four Great Satans, Sona's gaze was filled with curiosity and intrigue.
Serafall herself was equally interested, her eyes fixed on Blake with keen fascination.
---
In the luxurious Gremory estate located in their family territory, Rias's parents, alongside her brother Sirzechs Lucifer—one of the Four Great Satans—were also watching the broadcast.
"Grayfia, what do you think of him?"
Rias's father asked as he turned to Grayfia, who stood silently nearby, her gaze focused on Blake on the screen, her expression unusually thoughtful.
"What are your thoughts, my lord?" Grayfia calmly countered without immediately answering.
"Well, I think it's commendable that he has the courage to stand up for Rias, but his actions are too reckless. The best strategy would have been to work with Rias to eliminate Riser's peerage members one by one, then gang up on Riser himself to create a chance at victory. Instead, he's abandoned his greatest strength—his Visual Distortion ability —to confront them head-on. It's not a wise move," Rias's father analyzed objectively after a moment's pause.
"I think he's just finding it troublesome and wants to take Riser out all at once," Sirzechs interjected with a chuckle.
"Hm?"
Hearing this, everyone present turned their attention to him.
"My lord, I agree with Lord Sirzechs's assessment," Grayfia said calmly, her voice measured. In her mind, she recalled Blake's unwavering gaze when he faced her, resolute and unyielding.
"Oh? Why do you say that? Do you know the extent of his strength?" Rias's father asked, intrigued.
"I don't, but we'll find out soon enough. Hm? It seems the young lady has stepped out as well."
Grayfia shook her head and then added with a slightly sharp tone, having noticed something on the screen.
Hearing this, everyone was startled and quickly looked over.
On the screen, Rias, Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and Asia had all emerged and were standing a short distance from Blake.
It appeared they had no intention of intervening, choosing instead to spectate.
This decision caused Sirzechs's family, Serafall, and other Satan-class devils to frown. Meanwhile, the other nobles and elders began voicing their opinions.
They all criticized Rias Gremory's apparent lack of strategic thinking.
---
In the simulated academy battlefield within the dimensional space, Rias gazed at Blake and called out in a voice filled with trust, "Blake, don't hold back. Let loose and give it everything you've got!"
"Understood," Blake replied, nodding as a warm feeling stirred within him.
Initially, by stepping forward so openly, he had expected to face criticism. The others might have been seen as following a strategy, using him to distract the enemy while Rias aimed for a direct assault on their leader.
But Rias had chosen to step out, not to fight but to witness everything firsthand. This act of absolute trust touched Blake deeply.
If he failed, Rias would undoubtedly be drowned in criticism from the Underworld.
Of course, that was assuming he would fail.
---
"Well, it seems this so-called boyfriend of Rias doesn't think much of us. Since that's the case, we can't let this slide... Everyone, attack! Crush them head-on!"
Sensing the overwhelming aura radiating from Blake, Riser's expression darkened with irritation. He barked out orders to his fourteen female peerage members.
"Yes, Lord Riser, leave it to us," responded a scantily clad woman wielding a staff, her large chest barely restrained by her outfit. She led the rest of the peerage away to engage their opponents.
If Blake were there, he would recognize her as Yubelluna, Riser's Queen and the infamous "Bomb Queen." However, Blake wouldn't concern himself with her in the slightest.
---
"So, they're coming now? And that must be Ravel, huh? Not bad."
Blake glanced at the air, where Yubelluna led twelve other women toward him, then shifted his gaze to a petite girl with golden twin-drill hair, dressed in a pink-and-white outfit. She stood in the distance, watching with a peculiar expression.
She was none other than Ravel Phenex, Riser's sister.
"You're awfully confident, aren't you? We outnumber you two-to-one. Do you really think you can win against us?"
From above, Yubelluna's furious voice rang out.
"You'll regret your arrogance, boy. I was planning to play with you a little longer, but now I'll just end this quickly and send you off!"
Meanwhile, standing beside Yubelluna, Riser wore a similarly dark expression. To him, Blake's arrogant release of his overwhelming aura was nothing short of a blatant provocation.
"You dare look down on us like this?" Riser growled.
"I'm not looking down on anyone. I simply find this way more efficient," Blake replied calmly.
"You…!"
Boom—!
Just as Riser and Yubelluna were seething with rage, Blake bent his knees slightly. A terrifying force exploded beneath him, leaving a deep crater on the ground. Then, like a cannonball propelled by the shockwave of a sonic boom, he rocketed toward the two of them in midair. Both Riser and Yubelluna's expressions drastically changed in response.
