Chapter 291 Mirror dungeon
"Do you have something against people from England?" Vivian asked, somewhat relieved after hearing Uriel's remark.
"Well, not really. They just remind me of someone I hate."
The thought of Uriel actually hating someone sent shivers down Vivian's spine. If he was willing to torture someone he never even met, there was no saying about what was he capable of doing to someone he hated.
Truth was, Uriel didn't know himself if he hated Jon, but just thinking about how much he idolized the man and how betrayed he felt after meeting made him angry.
Just as Uriel was pondering about such matters, water began dripping from the faucet. It was only a few drops every now and then, but Vivian had a terrified look on her face.
"She's coming."
The few drops began dripping more often until water started flowing out letting out a vast amount of steam. Uriel placed his hand on the water, but it was cold.
"Something isn't right. You said her trait is related to her eyes, and yet she controls water even without being in the vicinity."
"What is it, is she stronger than you?" Vivian asked, but Uriel limited himself to shake his head and let the water splash onto his hand until he realized something even weirder.
The words 'Bloody Mary' appeared on the foggy mirror. It wasn't immediate, he actually saw each letter being drawn. Uriel cleared the fog with his hand, only to reveal a pale woman's face looking directly at him with bloodied eyes.
"Hello, My name is... what?" Uriel turned around to speak with the woman that should have appeared behind him, but she was nowhere to be seen. Then, he looked back into the mirror and she was there. "Uhm, hello?" He insisted, only this time knocking on the mirror glass.
It was then he noticed, the glass felt somewhat like the membrane he crossed whenever he entered dungeons, but somehow he knew he wasn't allowed in.
'Maybe her trait is related to dungeons.' Uriel thought now determined to get all the answers he wanted from the strange woman inside the mirror.
"It always starts like this, that's why I told you her trait must be in her eyes. It's like she makes you hallucinate."
"This isn't a hallucination, she really is inside the mirror."
The pale woman seemingly understood what Uriel said and she opened her round eyes widely, causing the blood to pool in them and cover them completely.
"Mister Uriel, wake up!" Vivian shook him over and over once she noticed his eyes were bleeding profusely, but he remained frozen until his eyes popped like balloons and then he extended his hand towards the mirror, only this time he was able to cross the threshold and disappeared inside the mirror.
When Uriel came to his senses, he was blind and alone inside the mirror. Thankfully, he was in a trance when he lost his eyes and he felt no pain and the passive ability of Water warlock's blessing was already at work.
Still, he knew he was in a hostile place which was confirmed after a system notification appeared.
[System notice] You have entered the Mirror Dungeon, clear condition: kill Mary.
"Crap!" He voiced loudly. The system was asking him to do precisely the opposite of what Vivian had asked him, which meant he could only get one reward.
"Who's there?" A timid voice said in the blinding darkness.
"I'm a hunter, who are you?" Uriel replied after using his mystical sense and finding out there were two people at a distance of which only one was a hunter.
"Did you hear that Evelynn? They came to rescue us!" Mary let out in a weak voice that pretended to be cheerful.
"Shut up Mary! Please, Mister hunter, save me." Evelynn sobbed after unwittingly informing Uriel which one of them was Mary.
His face became tense when he realized his target was the hunter and he summoned Thunderbolt Iron.
"Where are you?"
"No way! He's been blinded just like us!" Evelynn let out a pained moan and started crying.
Uriel couldn't deny that statement, even though it would only remain true for a minute as he could feel the empty cavities on his eye sockets already being filled with water. This is why he decided to remain silent while trying to decide what to do.

On one hand, he knew that if he killed Mary he would be able to exit the dungeon and maybe get a nice reward. On the other, in order to kill Mary and keep it a secret from Vivian he would have to kill all the parties involved and so far Evelynn hadn't done anything to upset him, except maybe call him 'Mister hunter' which reminded him of Jon.
"Is my sister safe?" Contrary to Evelynn who was a sobbing mess, Mary remained composed.
"She sent me here to save you," Uriel replied truthfully, although he was still unsure if he would go through with his word. "Do you know where the rogue huntress is?"
"What rogue huntress?"
"The one that trapped us in here, who else?"
"She's not a huntress! She's a cryptid! We summoned her by playing a stupid game in front of the mirror and now she trapped us in here."
"A cryptid!?" Had Uriel known anything about Bloody Mary from before, it would have taken him but a few second to figure out it was a cryptid. There were far too many oddities, but since the thought of cryptids being inside the city never crossed Vivian's mind she always referred to the creature as a huntress because of how similar she was to humans.
By that point, Uriel's sight was already starting to recover and after blinking a couple times he scanned his surroundings. The place wasn't dark but it was foggy and he was able to see light coming in from a huge window at a distance with the words 'Bloody Mary' spelled backwards.
"We truly are inside the mirror." He sighed.
