Chapter 6: Chapter 6. Kahn’s Life, Vados’ Wrath
"This Saiyan... what is it about him that fascinates you so much, Sister Vados?" Whis asked, his curiosity piqued as he observed Kahn through the light screen projected by his Angel staff.
He couldn't quite understand. As an Angel, Whis was bound by duty and lacked the emotional inclinations of mortals. The concept of love—particularly between an Angel and a human—was foreign to him.
Vados, without taking her eyes off the light screen, where Kahn's figure moved with grace and power, responded softly,
"Whis, you wouldn't understand."
Her expression was tender, a sight that left Whis shaking his head in disbelief. "It's hopeless," he muttered under his breath, watching his sister display emotions he never thought possible for their kind.
"Why are you here, Whis?" Vados asked, her voice neutral.
With a wry smile, Whis replied, "Lord Beerus is asleep, so I have some free time. But more importantly, Sister, do you know the full background of your Saiyan husband?"
Vados shook her head. "Not entirely. Why? Is there something I should know?"
On the day they had met, Kahn had told her that he had no parents, and she hadn't pressed further.
In response, Whis tapped his staff lightly, and a scene from Planet Vegeta, dated 737 Aiji, began to play. It showed the infamous moment when Frieza, the tyrant of the universe, unleashed a devastating energy blast that obliterated Planet Vegeta and wiped out nearly all the Saiyans.
Before the planet's destruction, a lone warrior had tried in vain to stop Frieza—a Saiyan who fought with all his might but was ultimately powerless. That Saiyan was none other than Kahn's father.
"His name was Bardock," Whis said, his voice calm but serious. "He was Kahn's father and the father of your brother-in-law, Kakarot—who you know as Son Goku. Frieza killed both of their parents."
Whis rewound the scene, focusing on Bardock as he launched a desperate, futile attack against Frieza. "On the eve of Planet Vegeta's destruction, Bardock and his wife, Gine, sent their two young sons away in space pods. Kahn was the elder; Kakarot, the younger."
The moment the truth settled in, Vados' eyes narrowed, and a chilling wave of murderous intent filled the room. The air grew colder as her Angelic energy fluctuated.
"Sister Vados, remember our duty as Angels," Whis said quickly, sensing the intensity of her wrath. "We cannot interfere in the affairs of mortals. Moreover, this is Kahn's battle—he must be the one to face Frieza if he chooses to seek revenge."
Vados' eyes were still icy, her expression unreadable. "He's not strong enough to defeat Frieza," she said, her voice cold.
"That's true," Whis acknowledged. "Kahn's current strength is nowhere near enough to challenge Frieza. But you are an Angel. You could help him grow stronger. And besides, wouldn't Kahn prefer to avenge his parents himself?"
Vados considered his words. Her fury slowly subsided, and after a moment, she nodded, her usual calm demeanor returning. "Let Frieza enjoy his reign a little longer."

At Mount Paozu, the sparring match between Kahn and Son Goku was nearing its end.
Kahn had been holding back, matching Goku's strength and skill. But despite his restraint, he quickly realized that Goku's attacks posed no real threat. The training was tedious, yielding little benefit.
Finally, Kahn decided to end it. With a surge of power, he defeated Goku in a single move.
"Ouch..." Goku groaned as he picked himself up off the ground. He was clearly shocked. "Brother Kahn, what happened? You've gotten so strong! I can't even keep up with you anymore!"
Goku vividly remembered their previous sparring sessions, where Kahn had been only slightly weaker. But now, it was as if Kahn had transformed overnight.
Kahn descended from the sky, his expression calm. "I'm your older brother, after all. It's only natural that I'd be stronger."
Goku scratched his head in confusion. "But the last time we fought, you were struggling to keep up. Now, it's like you were just toying with me! How did you get this strong so quickly?"
It was a fair assessment. Throughout the fight, Goku had felt as if Kahn was seeing through his every move, effortlessly countering every attack. In the end, it wasn't even a contest.
Kahn simply smiled, patting Goku on the shoulder. "Keep training, Goku. You'll catch up to me one day, maybe even surpass me."
Kahn knew that while Goku might have been born a low-class warrior like himself, he had the advantage of being the original protagonist of their universe. With time, Goku's potential would far exceed his own.
After finishing the sparring session, Kahn left Mount Paozu and made his way to the Capsule Corporation in West City.

As Kahn walked through the bustling streets of the Western Capital, he mulled over his next steps. Vados had been right—his current method of training against the air wasn't enough. And with no worthy opponents left on Earth, he needed to change his approach if he wanted to keep growing stronger.
The solution, he realized, lay in advanced equipment—a gravity training room. And there was only one person who could help him with that: Bulma.
"Money isn't the issue," Kahn thought to himself. "I just need to convince her to build it for me. If I can't, I'll have to find another way."
With that, he entered the familiar halls of Capsule Corporation, ready to make his request.
