Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Scar Bro Arrives for Yu Xiaogang
"I heard... that Bibi Dong actually betrayed our Spirit Hall just to elope with some trash named Yu Xiaogang!"
"Is she blind or something?"
"Brother Ji, Uncle Qian, and so many of the Worship Elders have treated her so well. How could she not feel it?"
"What kind of charm does that piece of trash have to enchant her like this? She's completely lost her mind!"
Ling Yuan's delicate and exquisitely beautiful face was full of rage. Her fair jade-like hands clenched into fists, burning with resentment.
"Ji-Ji Bro?"
Qian Xunji's mouth twitched. He was utterly speechless at the ridiculous name his original body had been given. He was also annoyed at Qian Daoliu for coming up with it. Of all the names, why did that old man have to choose 'Qian Xunji'?!
How was anyone supposed to call him properly?
'Chicken' (Ji)
'Chicken Bro' (Ji-ge)
There wasn't a single decent way to say it!
"It's quite the opposite. We've treated her too well, to the point where she started taking everything for granted." Qian Xunji took a deep breath and clasped his hands behind his back, speaking indifferently to Ling Yuan's frustration.
"As for that trash, he has no charm whatsoever."
"But maybe it's because Bibi Dong has spent her entire life in Spirit City."
"As my disciple, as Spirit Hall's Holy Maiden, she's been surrounded by the most outstanding young men—each with both talent and looks."
"She's been feasting on 'delicacies' for so long that she's grown tired of them."
"Now, she probably finds 'coarse grains' to have a different kind of taste."
Qian Xunji's tone was full of mockery and cold laughter.
"This really is..." Ling Yuan shook her head, feeling both helpless and speechless.
"By the way, Ling Yuan, don't call me 'Brother Ji' anymore. From now on, call me 'Brother Xun.'"
"I really don't like how 'Brother Ji' sounds!"
After finishing his discussion about Bibi Dong, Qian Xunji casually added the reminder.
"What's wrong with 'Brother Ji'? I think it sounds fine." Ling Yuan blinked her beautiful golden eyes in confusion and muttered.
But she didn't argue with Qian Xunji about it. After all, he was the esteemed Pope, while she was just a weak, pitiful, and helpless little maid under his command.
"Right, Brother Ji—uh, Brother Xun, about Bibi Dong and Yu Xiaogang..."
"Are we really just going to let them go like this?" Ling Yuan waved her small fists angrily, clearly unwilling to let the matter slide.
"Heh!"
Qian Xunji let out a cold laugh. A chilling light flashed in his golden eyes.
"Don't worry, I won't let them leave so easily."
"As for Yu Xiaogang, I've already arranged something special for him—an experience so painful he'll wish he were dead."
"And as for Bibi Dong, she'll also receive the punishment she deserves."
...
Elsewhere.
After leaving Spirit City, Bibi Dong had become crippled due to Qian Xunji severing one of her legs.
Because of this, Yu Xiaogang hired a carriage in a nearby city, intending to take both of them to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan near Heaven Dou City.
Days passed quickly.
The carriage traveled across mountains and rivers, finally arriving at the border of the Heaven Dou Empire.
Up ahead was a narrow canyon—a path that was the only way to enter Heaven Dou Empire from this route.
The carriage soon reached the canyon.
"Boys, get them!"
Suddenly, a loud shout rang out.
A group of masked men in black clothing leaped from the mountainside, shouting wildly as they charged down the slope.
They swiftly surrounded Yu Xiaogang and Bibi Dong's carriage, blocking off the canyon's entrance and exit.
The driver, seeing the ambush, quickly pulled the reins, his face pale with terror.
Inside the carriage, Bibi Dong tightly grabbed Yu Xiaogang's arm, panicked and lost.
"Xiaogang, there are bandits! What should we do?!"
In the past, Bibi Dong would have feared nothing.
But now, without her powerful cultivation, she was just an ordinary girl.
"Dong'er, don't worry."
"They're just some ordinary bandits. Leave them to me."
Yu Xiaogang still didn't realize the danger. He reassured Bibi Dong with a gentle voice, then stepped out of the carriage with his hands behind his back, his expression calm.
Though he was a weak soul master, he wasn't afraid of regular bandits.
Once outside, he immediately summoned his martial soul, Luo Sanpao.
A purple light flashed.
A creature resembling a small pig appeared—it had short limbs, was covered in purple and white fur, had a tiny tail, a pair of fan-like ears, and round, beady eyes.
With it, two yellow soul rings rose from beneath Yu Xiaogang's feet, encircling his body.
"I am a soul master! I advise you to leave at once!"
"Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Yu Xiaogang stood with his hands behind his back, his face cold and imposing as he shouted.
He thought revealing his identity as a soul master would scare the bandits away.
But to his surprise, the bandits burst into laughter, as if they had just heard the funniest joke.
"Hahaha! With a little pig martial soul like that, what can you even do to us?"
"Boys, get him!"
At their leader's command, the bandits shouted and charged forward, wielding steel blades.
Yu Xiaogang's face darkened, but he had no choice.
He commanded Luo Sanpao to charge while mobilizing his soul power to enhance his body, rushing toward the bandits.
If they were ordinary bandits, Yu Xiaogang might have stood a chance.
But unfortunately, these weren't ordinary bandits.
They were Qian Xunji's 'gift' to him.
A shriek rang out.
Luo Sanpao, leading the charge, was slashed in half in an instant, shattering into countless soul power fragments.
"What?!"
Yu Xiaogang's expression changed dramatically. He hadn't expected this at all.
These bandits were different!
The backlash from Luo Sanpao's destruction struck him immediately.
His face turned deathly pale as he spat out a mouthful of blood, his body swaying before collapsing to the ground.
"Xiaogang!"
Inside the carriage, Bibi Dong's eyes turned red as she screamed in anguish.
"Hmph! Trash like you? You're exactly the kind I love to mess with!"
A group of bandits surrounded Yu Xiaogang, one of them kicking him disdainfully.
"Oh? Look at this little beauty!"
One of the bandits noticed Bibi Dong. His eyes lit up as he whistled, rubbing his hands together with a lecherous grin as he approached the carriage.
Realizing that the soul master she was relying on couldn't even handle common bandits, the carriage driver cursed Yu Xiaogang as useless and scurried away to cower in fear.
"Don't come near me!"
"I'm the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall! If you dare touch me, you'll suffer horrible consequences!"
Bibi Dong's face turned pale with fear as she tried to use her past status to intimidate the bandits.
"You, the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall? What a joke!"
But the black-clad leader frowned and said, "Forget it! This woman's beauty and attire suggest she's from a powerful background. Let's not cause unnecessary trouble. Just take their valuables and leave."
"Alright then!"
But just as Yu Xiaogang sighed in relief, thinking Bibi Dong was safe, a deep, rough voice sounded.
"Big Bro, we won't touch the woman."
"Then what about this kid? He should be fine, right?"
From the group of black-clad bandits, a tall and burly man, his body full of muscles and his bald head shining brightly, approached.
A slanted, downward scar across his face was particularly noticeable, making him appear very fierce. He was rubbing his hands together and grinning as he looked at Yu Xiaogang.
"What?!"
Yu Xiao Gang stiffened, his body frozen, as if struck by lightning.
No, it can't be?!
"This kid looks pretty ordinary, his martial soul is so weak. Do what you want with him!"
The black-clad leader glanced at Yu Xiao Gang, casually saying.
"Thanks, Big Brother!"
The scarred man licked his lips, the scar on his face twitching as he grinned.
"Kid! Look at your delicate skin, so gentle and refined. I, Scar, love this type of young man the most!"
"Don't worry! Big Brother Scar will definitely train you well and give you an unforgettable experience!"
With that, Scar started rubbing his hands together and walked toward Yu Xiaogang.
"No! Please, no!"
Yu Xiao Gang's face was filled with terror as he struggled and retreated.
But he couldn't outrun Scar.
In no time, Scar grinned evilly and lunged forward, grabbing Yu Xiao Gang by the leg.
"Kid, come back here!"
The next moment, Scar began to fiercely teach Yu Xiaogang a lesson.
The air was filled with the sound of pitiful screams.
The surrounding birds flew off in a panic.

Translator's Note: Damn! This chapter took a bit longer for me to translate due to it being longer than average as well as the joke regarding Qian Xunji's given name.
I'll explain it here so that those who didn't read the raw can get the joke.
So basically, Qian Xunji was complaining about how bad his father (Qian Daoliu)'s naming sense was.
Xunji (寻疾) doesn't have a direct, straightforward meaning in english. However, it roughly translates to "seeking illness" or "searching for sickness".
The first character "寻" means "to seek" or "search," and the second character "疾" means "illness" or "disease."
The issue here lies in how Chinese names and words work. In Chinese, the same character (like "鸡" or "Ji") can have different meanings depending on the context.
When "鸡" is used in "鸡哥" (Ji-ge), it refers to "chicken" in the casual or playful sense. However, in the name "寻疾" (Xun Ji), the character "疾" means "illness" or "sickness," and the meaning of "鸡" changes because it's part of a different word structure.
So, while both "鸡" in "鸡哥" (Chicken Brother) and "疾" in "寻疾" share the same pronunciation, they are different characters with distinct meanings.
Qian Xunji's complaint about his name comes from the fact that "寻疾" (Xun Ji) sounds odd, possibly even embarrassing, because "疾" refers to illness, and "鸡" sounds like "chicken" in "鸡哥," making it feel like an unfortunate or awkward name.
(Of course, if I'm mistaken and I didn't translate it well enough, you can correct me as I'm only human and bound to make some mistakes.)
And if you are wondering, Yes! Yu Xiaogang got fucked in the ass by Brother Scar. And it won't be the last.
