The terrifying atmosphere didn't last long. The dark red giant sword vanished, transforming into twelve pure, murderous auras that coalesced into twelve large characters.

"I give you one more chance to decide!"

A minute later, the twelve characters disappeared, and the palace returned to its original state. However, the temperature was extremely low, and the floor pierced by the giant sword was left with two blood-soaked, skeletal limbs—an arm and a leg. From the appearance alone, it was clear that the owner of these limbs had an enormous frame.

In the hotel, a deep sword scar ran across the wall in front of Qian Renxue's seat, with a cut where the wall had been torn apart by sword energy. The wall was stained with blood from the Bone Douluo, whose right arm and leg had been severed by a single strike from Qian Renxue. A piece of soul bone floated out as he bled heavily, collapsing to the ground.

The Sword Douluo looked at his old comrade, Bone Douluo, in shock. The screams of agony from earlier still echoed in his mind as he crawled toward Bone Douluo like a worm.

"Old Bone!"

The Snake Spear Douluo shook his head. He had always believed that if Ning Fengzhi had just paid the ransom, none of this would have happened. Now, Bone Douluo had lost both arms and legs, a piece of his soul bone, and his cultivation had dropped by ten levels. For a soul douluo of Bone Douluo's age, that was a huge blow, not to mention the severity of his injuries.

"Uncle Bone, it's all Fengzhi's fault!"

Ning Fengzhi's eyes were bloodshot. After decades of friendship, how could he not realize that the arms and legs belonged to Bone Douluo? Qian Renxue had severed them as a warning, urging him to pay up without any tricks.

The Emperor Xue Ye had finally calmed down. He sat back in his chair, his legs still trembling involuntarily. He looked at the grief-stricken Ning Fengzhi and said indifferently, "Sect Master Ning, I'm afraid I can't help you with this."

There was deep anger in the Emperor Xue Ye's eyes. How could a mighty emperor like himself be threatened? If not for the constant danger to his life, he would have ignored the Spirit Hall's threats and captured Qian Renxue, subjecting him to the Empire's ten greatest tortures.

At the same time, his gaze toward Ning Fengzhi grew colder. If Ning Fengzhi hadn't meddled and provoked Qian Renxue, how could he have been threatened with death? How could two of the Empire's most precious Soul Douluo fall so easily and without value?

Ning Fengzhi stiffly nodded, "I understand, Your Majesty. Could you at least send someone to escort me back to the sect?"

Though furious, the Emperor Xue Ye wasn't petty enough to refuse. He instructed some soldiers to escort Ning Fengzhi back to the sect and sent word for Xue Luochuan to recall the troops.

Three days later, a much older-looking Ning Fengzhi, with his hair in disarray, dark circles under his eyes, and a look of exhaustion, arrived at the hotel. Accompanied by two Soul Douluo, he entered.

"You're quite punctual. Did you bring the ransom?" Qian Renxue, reclining on the sofa with her legs crossed, casually held a wine glass and asked.

Ning Fengzhi produced four purple-gold cards. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School had only a few billion Gold Soul Coins in liquid assets, most of which were tied up in real estate. After three days of frantic effort, he managed to gather twenty billion Gold Soul Coins by draining the school's liquid funds, mortgaging properties to the Heaven Dou Empire, the Blue Electric Tyrant Dragon Clan, the Clear Sky Clan, and various families and sects. He even borrowed some money from a moneylender.

The Bone Douluo was simply too important to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School. It was largely thanks to him that they had risen to be the second-largest sect in the world. Ning Fengzhi couldn't afford to gamble on paying in installments.

"These four purple-gold cards hold over twenty billion Gold Soul Coins. Here is the split-focus control technique. What about Uncle Jian and Uncle Bone?"

Note: The split-focus control technique was added unexpectedly, and I've updated the previous chapter to include it. Apologies for the oversight.

Qian Renxue sucked in her breath, tossing the four purple-gold cards to the Snake Spear Douluo, who used a device to verify their value. She then took the split-focus control technique and pointed toward a room.

Ning Fengzhi stepped into the room and, upon seeing the gravely injured Bone Douluo, his heart clenched with sorrow. For three days, both elders had neither eaten nor drunk a single drop of water. Their faces were pale, their lips cracked, and their frail bodies barely held together. With anguish, he cried out,

"Uncle Jian! Uncle Bone!"

A surge of terrifying soul power erupted as Sword Douluo and Gu Rong regained their mobility. Supporting Gu Rong between them, Sword Douluo and Ning Fengzhi carefully helped him up. It had already been three days since his limbs were severed. Even if a Nine-Hearted Begonia soul master treated him and reattached his limbs, they would never be as agile as before. But given how the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School had always treated the Ye family—who possessed the Nine-Hearted Begonia—as a competitor, would they even be willing to help Gu Rong?

Meanwhile, in the hotel, after confirming that the four purple-gold cards indeed contained a total of twenty billion Gold Soul Coins, Qian Renxue immediately departed, flying toward the direction of the Star Dou Forest. He had no interest in wasting words with Ning Fengzhi, who he viewed as a rabid dog barking and biting wherever he could.

---

Three days later, Qian Renxue and his group arrived at the Star Dou Forest.

By the time they reached the habitat of ten-thousand-year soul beasts, the sky had already darkened.

Nighttime in the soul beast forest was far more dangerous than during the day. Typically, hunting teams would scatter repellent powders, light fires, eat, and rest for the night. However, Qian Renxue's group continued their search undeterred.

Qian Renxue turned and asked, "Xiaoxue, after absorbing the inner core of the Ten-Headed Fiery Yang Serpent, how is the flame attribute of your Angel Martial Soul?"

"It has grown stronger, brother."

Qian Renxue's hand glowed with brilliant golden flames.

Qian Renxue narrowed his eyes slightly, carefully assessing the current state of Qian Renxue's Angel Soul Power. The sacred attribute and flame attribute had already reached the level of an eight-winged angel. As long as the light attribute was also enhanced, her Angel Martial Soul could fully evolve into its eight-winged form.

"For your seventh soul ring, we'll find you a light-attribute soul beast. I'll help you locate one."

Behind Qian Renxue, five pairs of pitch-black wings spread wide. His Fallen Angel Martial Soul emerged, and as he closed his eyes, dark soul power spread out in all directions.

Darkness was the opposite of light, and Qian Renxue possessed an acute sensitivity to light-attribute soul beasts.

---

Just then, a massive tremor shook the ground a thousand meters away. A towering, nearly ten-meter-tall shadow barreled toward the outer region of the Star Dou Forest, exuding an immensely terrifying aura.

"That's… the King of the Forest, the Titan Giant Ape!" Snake Spear Douluo exclaimed in shock.

Porcupinefish Douluo furrowed his brows in confusion. "Why would a Titan Giant Ape be running toward the outer forest?"

"It's just a gorilla. Ignore it for now."

Qian Renxue opened his eyes slightly and gazed in the direction the Titan Giant Ape was heading. As if realizing something, he chuckled lightly.

"It seems the protagonist of Douluo, Tang San, is there. Perfect. Since I can't take Bibi Dong's external soul bone, I'll just take yours instead—and kill you while I'm at it."

As long as the external soul bone wasn't exclusively a light, holy, or flame attribute, Qian Renxue didn't care whether it matched his Fallen Angel Martial Soul.

---

A moment later, Qian Renxue sensed an extremely pure, powerful light-attribute soul beast. His eyes lit up.

"Follow me."

Qian Renxue, with his Six-Winged Seraph Martial Soul activated, led Snake Spear Douluo and Porcupinefish Douluo deeper into the Star Dou Forest.

Soon, they arrived at their destination.

Before them lay a bizarre landscape—dozens of steep cliffs formed an intricate maze of towering rock formations. Unlike thick mountains, these cliffs maintained nearly uniform thickness from top to bottom.

Yet, despite the jagged stone, lush greenery flourished along the cliff faces, accompanied by rare herbs and mystical spirit plants. The sight was breathtakingly beautiful, exuding an aura of untouched nature.

Qian Renxue had seen many stunning landscapes before. If the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was the most extraordinary, then this place was undoubtedly second to none.
