"Understood, Father."

Xue Luochuan smiled at Ning Fengzhi and said, "Rest assured, Sect Master Ning. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect is a friend of our Heaven Dou Imperial Family. We would never act as recklessly as the Spirit Hall. Just wait for good news."

"Thank you, Your Highness." Ning Fengzhi cupped his fists and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

---

Three Hours Later

In a five-star luxury hotel in Heaven Dou City, Qian Renhan finally emerged from his room, fully restored in energy and spirit.

As for Qian Renxue, she was still in seclusion, absorbing the inner core of the Ten-Headed Fierce Sun Serpent. The three-day grace period granted by the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's compensation was the perfect window for her to complete this process. Since this core could enhance the fire attribute of the Angel Martial Soul, leaving it unused would be a waste.

Meanwhile, outside the room—

"Qian Renhan, what have you done to Chen Xin?" Bone Douluo knelt on the ground, his hands and legs still bound, his entire body covered in dust from rolling on the floor.

Beside him, Sword Douluo was in the same miserable state, his body coated in grime. However, his eyes were dull and vacant, his mind seemingly lost. His spirit and energy had been completely drained, as if his consciousness had wandered somewhere far beyond reach.

Fortunately, the streets of Heaven Dou City were paved with smooth bluestone, reducing friction. Otherwise, Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo's clothing might have ended up in the same tattered state as Ning Fengzhi's after his time in the Fallen Angel Domain.

Qian Renhan didn't even spare Bone Douluo a glance. Instead, he walked to the sofa, sat down, and asked indifferently, "What's the situation now?"

Snake Spear Douluo appeared and knelt on one knee. "Young Master, not long ago, the Heaven Dou Imperial Family ordered the evacuation of all civilians from the surrounding area. The hotel's management and guests have also been cleared out—aside from us, no one remains."

Qian Renhan smirked. "So, the Heaven Dou Imperial Family wants to meddle? Fine, let's give them a warning. This will make it easier when I implement new policies after I take over."

His gaze turned toward a specific location in Heaven Dou City.

Ning Fengzhi had spent time inside his Fallen Angel Domain, and traces of his killing intent still lingered on him. If his guess was correct, the place where that aura led must be where Xue Ye resided.

---

Moments Later, Outside the Hotel

The rhythmic march of soldiers echoed in the air. Four wide streets, once empty, were now packed with rows of fully armored Heaven Dou Empire soldiers wielding long spears. Even the rooftops of nearby buildings were filled with imperial troops, surrounding the hotel in an impenetrable blockade.

Above them, hovering in mid-air, were more soldiers—all equipped with a pair of wings on their backs and armed with spears. These airborne troops weren't Spirit Masters, yet they carried special chains crafted from rare materials—chains capable of sealing a Spirit Master's soul power. The moment any part of their body was bound, that area would become unusable. Even a Titled Douluo ensnared by these chains would be rendered helpless, turning them into nothing more than prey on the chopping block.

These airborne warriors were the Heaven Dou Royal Knights, the Empire's most elite forces, equipped with the finest technology, granting them flight capabilities akin to Spirit Masters.

As for the specific mechanics behind their gear? Qian Renhan never bothered to investigate. He simply knew that Spirit Hall's Soul Masters relied on flying swords, while the two great empires had soldiers with wings.

At the entrance of the hotel, Xue Luochuan, the current Crown Prince of Heaven Dou, stood tall. He was clad in a black satin robe embroidered with a golden flood dragon, the wide sleeves of his attire adorned with dark cloud motifs. A jade hairpin secured his short, neatly tied hair, giving him a clean and commanding presence.

With one hand clasped behind his back and the other holding a voice amplifier, he spoke in a calm and steady tone:

"Friends of Spirit Hall, Young Master Qian, I am Xue Luochuan, Crown Prince of the Heaven Dou Empire. Shall we talk?"

---

Inside the Hotel

"Young Master," Snake Spear Douluo remained composed.

The hotel was now completely surrounded by tens of thousands of soldiers. If he were alone, he wouldn't stand a chance of surviving.

But his sworn brother, Porcupinefish Douluo, had a different attitude—

"Forty thousand troops? I see them as nothing but garbage!"

"Move aside, you're blocking my line of sight. Also, bring Bone Douluo over here and stand exactly on that line." Qian Renhan's voice was calm as he gestured toward the direction of the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace.

Snake Spear Douluo obeyed, dragging Bone Douluo over.

Qian Renhan's right hand trembled slightly. Pure, dark crimson killing intent began to gather, engulfing his entire hand in a sinister aura. With his masterful control over soul power, he ensured that not a single ripple of energy leaked out.

Slowly, the tip of a massive sword began to materialize in his palm.

---

One Minute Later, Outside the Hotel

Xue Luochuan furrowed his brows.

Both Spirit Hall's Young Masters were inside, and he did not wish for direct conflict. A battle between the Empire and Spirit Hall would only benefit the Star Luo Empire. His priority was to resolve the situation peacefully, but Qian Renhan had yet to respond.

"Your Highness," a general stepped forward, his tone carrying a hint of discontent.

"In terms of status, the Young Master of Spirit Hall is at most equal to Your Highness. Yet, this is Heaven Dou's territory, and he is completely surrounded. How dare he ignore you like this?"

Xue Luochuan raised his hand to stop him, though his eyes flickered with a trace of irritation.

"Wait a little longer," he instructed.

Just then—

The air suddenly turned dark red.

A colossal, blood-red sword shot up from the hotel, releasing an overwhelming killing intent.

In that instant, every soldier's expression twisted in horror.

A surge of pure, unfiltered death flooded their minds, paralyzing them with fear.

The Heaven Dou Royal Knights, hovering closest in midair, suddenly broke into a cold sweat. Their bodies trembled uncontrollably, and one by one, they plummeted from the sky, crashing onto the ground below.

The blood-red greatsword, like a falling meteor, vanished into the distance. Only then did the soldiers outside the hotel regain their senses.

"Y-Your Highness... what was that?" one of the generals stammered. He was a seasoned warrior who had fought through mountains of corpses and seas of blood, yet in the face of that sword, his legs felt weak.

"That direction is..." Xue Luochuan's expression changed drastically.

"The Imperial Palace—Father!"

At that moment, Qian Renhan's indifferent voice echoed in Xue Luochuan's ears.

"If you don't want your father to die, you'd best make your move."

Xue Luochuan's gaze turned ice-cold. "What are you trying to do? Do you not fear an all-out war between Heaven Dou Empire and Spirit Hall?"

Qian Renhan's tone carried a trace of disdain.

"Just stay put and wait for news. Don't meddle in matters that don't concern you."

Xue Luochuan's brow furrowed tightly. His rage was on the verge of erupting, but he had no choice but to listen.

He would wait for news about Emperor Xue Ye.

If anything happened to his father, he would stop at nothing to make Qian Renhan pay.

---

Inside the Imperial Palace

Emperor Xue Ye was in his study, handling state affairs. Not far from him, Ning Fengzhi sat with a grim expression, waiting anxiously.

He wouldn't relax until Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo were safely rescued.

At that moment—

A three-meter-long, half-meter-wide dark red greatsword descended from the heavens, piercing through the palace roof and embedding itself deep into the ground.

A monstrous wave of killing intent erupted, sweeping across the entire Imperial Palace like a violent storm.

"Your Majesty!"

"Your Majesty!"

Two Soul Douluo guardians—charged with protecting Xue Ye—rushed forward. Their soul rings—two yellow, three purple, three black—flashed into existence as they leaped into action.

But before they could do anything—

The dark crimson sword trembled slightly, and two invisible blades of killing intent shot out, as if they had eyes of their own.

In the blink of an eye—

Both Soul Douluo were decapitated.

Not a single drop of blood was spilled.

The moment their heads separated from their necks, the sheer chilling force of the killing intent had already frozen their wounds, sealing the blood within.

"Aaaahhh!"

A horrified shriek tore through the palace.

Emperor Xue Ye—a ruler accustomed to a life of luxury—had never set foot on a battlefield.

He had never experienced such an overwhelming aura of death.

His entire body trembled violently, and an unsettling dampness spread through his robes.

"This killing intent... Qian Renhan!"

Ning Fengzhi abruptly stood up, stepping in front of Xue Ye in a protective stance.

"S-S-Sect Master Ning!"

Xue Ye clutched Ning Fengzhi's arm, his face twisted in absolute terror.

His two strongest guardians had been annihilated in an instant—what chance did he have?

The higher one's status, the greater their fear of death—and Xue Ye was no exception.

The killing intent engulfed the palace, cutting off all light.

The entire hall was dyed dark red, as if trapped in a hellish nightmare.

A chilling wind howled through the corridors.

The atmosphere of death and despair reached its peak.
