Douluo Dalu 3 | Divine Destruction

Chapter 6: Culmination of Effort

Stepping out of the train people instinctively moved out of the way of a crimson haired child no older than nine years old as despite his young age he radiated an intense aura of power that kept the other normal citizens and soul masters alike away from him.

It had been three years since his 'awakening' and a mix of both little and a lot had changed. For one, Tang Wulin improved his cultivation from a measly rank 16 to a slightly less meager rank of 27.

His cultivation improved quickly as he had managed to reproduce, at least partially, the formation of the Spirit Pagoda that gathered natural energies which increased his cultivation speed.

It was quite easy in fact as the purple haired soul master who had awakened him had requested he look around the building before refusing his offer. In the end, Wulin obviously refused however he managed to memorize the formation before he left.

Now he wasn't only a blacksmith but also a mecha manufacturer. In the former, he had reached the peak of rank 6 having learned how to spirit refine a year or so prior, and a rank 3 in the latter.

He didn't plan on focusing much of his attention on his mecha manufacturer career as higher level areas such as Shrek or even the vast majority of advanced academies had arrays higher than what he could make at the moment.

Instead, he would be focusing completely on being a blacksmith as it would be the most helpful not only for his own growth but the growth of his organization that had begun spreading. It was difficult at the beginning however it was going well.

He wasn't aiming for a normal organization, he was looking for a group that would die for him. He hadn't made a corporation or a business, he had made a cult that was hellbent on serving him to their dying breath.

It was difficult to achieve such an effect there were two things that were necessary, power and manipulation. He had the first in spades however his lack of understanding of emotions made the latter impossible.

That's why he pushed it to his right hand who was well versed in the area despite his youth though that wasn't exactly something he himself should be thinking. Despite being a year younger than him his right hand had done well for himself amassing quite a large following to support him.

So far, it had started in this small continent and had now made small waves all over the world. Their influence was slowly but steadily growing and soon… they'd be the world's darkness just as he had planned. Soon, this world would be in the hands of FUG.

The name FUG was chosen simply. It meant Forgiven Under Grace, a reference to their member's beliefs though the meaning of the name wasn't widely known at this point. Most of the members didn't care for its meaning, they cared for its goal.

However, in this cult of his, he was not the only god. There were a total of eleven positions known as Slayers, three of which were filled, that would be the cult's gods however soon more would follow.

Tang Wulin was obviously one of these Slayers, the first one, under an alias as the cult's founder however he was fairly hands off recently. This is because FUG was growing even without his input, the second Slayer was making sure of that.

'He was surprisingly talented.' Tang Wulin thought to himself as he traversed the streets, ignoring the sudden warmth in his heart. Occasionally these strange body reactions would affect him and he had decided to simply ignore them for the most part.

The Second Slayer was talented however a large portion of his success was born from Tang Wulin himself. After meeting him Wulin had helped him and then taught him various things ranging from business to manipulation though the Second Slayer was mostly on his own for the last part as it was all theoretical at best.

In the beginning, creating his organization was difficult in terms of finances as Wulin was not only doing that already difficult task but he was allowing the Second Slayer to gain experience in investing, many of which failed in the beginning. However, it had turned out for the best.

Because he was willing to lose some funds in the beginning FUG was now rapidly making money. They weren't quite at the level of a high end sect let alone one of the four great powers but they would reach that level eventually.

Regardless, he wasn't able to worry about that at the moment. He had to focus on being admitted to the intermediate academy Eastsea Academy which by itself was not a challenge but he had to be placed in the weakest class.

He had done some research into the school to determine if it was worthwhile to attend compared to his other options and there was one thing that stuck out. There was a teacher who taught the advanced academy students before being brought down to class 5 of this year.

Utilizing the forces of FUG he was also able to discover that he was once a student of Shrek but had been kicked out or left after an event a few years ago. Sadly he couldn't find out the rest as Shrek had hidden it which made it impossible for the current FUG.

To grow at the maximum speed possible he would need to learn under that teacher. It would be complicated due to his martial soul and rank being well above his peers however he had a plan in mind that he had been preparing for.

On his documents, he had listed that his soul power rank is 12, a score right around average for a fifth class student, and limited how much strength he showed off. Because of his efforts his only option should be class 5.

The only problem is his martial soul. While the Golden Dragon martial soul can't compare to his actual one it still wasn't anything to look down on. No matter how low his rank, as long as it was above ten, or perhaps even below, he would be brought into class 1.

Which is why… he would make a mess of the school.
