Douluo Dalu 3 | Divine Destruction

Chapter 20: Meeting in the Shadows

Late at night in his dorm room Tang Wulin ended his cultivation early, rising to his feet and standing in the middle of the room. For the first time in… forever really, he hadn't been focused on cultivating. For some reason, his mind constantly traveled back to Gu Yuena's face from mere hours before.

Luckily, there was finally a chance for him to regain his focus, or at the very least distract himself for a few hours for him to hopefully calm down. Truthfully, he didn't know what to do. He was fairly well taught in the medical field but none of his symptoms made sense.

Pushing all the intrusive thoughts to the back of his mind Tang Wulin grabbed two spots in the air and began pulling, space itself splitting as though reality itself was tearing leaving a silver portal in front of him.

Stepping through the portal he found himself in a basement of a normal bar in a faraway city, complex circuits running all throughout the area hidden behind the mask of a painting that seemed to have been made by a master painter.

The bar was one of the thousands of locations owned by the hidden organization of FUG. It was one of the group's newer additions as it wasn't located on the Douluo Continent but rather on the Dou Ling Continent.

Compared to the Douluo Continent and even the Star Luo Continent the Dou Ling Continent was far behind technologically. To make up for that, they tended to go endorse things they generally shouldn't.

Due to the lax security born from such old technology, it was easy for FUG to invade the continent and they now had a tight grip on it despite them invading much later than the Douluo Continent.

If one were to put their influence in percentages the Douluo Continent would be somewhere around 25-30%, the Star Luo Content around 60-70%, and the Dou Ling Continent standing strong at 95%. It wouldn't take longer than six months to integrate completely.

Pressing his hand on a specific section of the 'painting' the wall itself moved before him after various innate features of his body such as his spiritual and soul power alongside his blood essence had been scanned.

Walking through the dark hallways his ears could pick up the sound of two people talking quietly up ahead but he paid it little attention. Soon enough, another door stood in his way. Allowing it to scan himself once again it opened on its own once it had finished allowing him access.

There were two people in the room, both siting at a circular table with eleven seats, both of them being classifiable as handsome. The two were roughly the same age, both being in their early twenties, however, there was an obvious difference between the two.

The first man had short golden hair that became violet at the tips that was clearly well taken care of. He had violet eyes hidden behind two circular glasses tied to a gold chain wrapped around his neck in case they ever fell off.

He wore a white shirt with a tall collar made of the finest materials, its price range easily reaching the millions. It was clothing that somebody only of upper status would wear and he wore it well despite his status as a former orphan.

The man had a demeanor of confidence and elegance that few could rival as well as a haughty gaze that seemed demeaning to any who so much as glanced at him. The man was named Pephomemore Seto, the Second Slayer of FUG.

The second man had long flaxen hair that reached well past his shoulders, reaching deep into his mid back. His eyes were a striking blue that seemed full of intelligence and wisdom yet didn't push people away.

Despite his obvious intelligence, his demeanor came off as warm rather than condescending. He wore a long blue robe connected by a golden chain attached to two golden buttons on the front.

Underneath his robe, he wore a grey turtleneck jacket above a soft black turtleneck shirt. Unlike his companion, his clothing was, while expensive, relatively cheap. The man was the Third Slayer, Imort.

"My god, it is a pleasure to see you again." The Second and Third Slayers spoke at the same time, bowing deeply to the child in front of them. No matter how powerful and respected they became it never hindered their absolute respect for the child in front of him.

He had saved them when they required help the most, helped them grow without impediment, funded them in all they pleased, and trusted them with his very being. No matter how young he was, he was their God.

"Mhm." Their God hummed in response, taking a seat in the middle of them. Their seating arrangement was set up with all 11 future Slayers in mind however, at the moment there were only three of them.

The First Slayer, Tang Wulin, or Grace Mirchea Luslec as he is known in FUG, sat in the very center. To his right sat the Second Slayer Pephomemore Seto and to his left sat the Third Slayer Imort. The strongest powers of FUG had gathered in one single room.

"I take it the trip was swift my lord?" Seto questioned lightly, his haughty demeanor completely erased in lieu of a sincere and loyal subordinate. To travel long distances such as he did tonight his god tore through space itself.

However, with his lacking energy reserves, he could not make the spatial gate stable, much less with his energy being annihilation itself. As a result, his spatial gates were faulty, if it weren't for his strong body he wouldn't even be able to survive the trip.

To accomplish such a feat, he was required to enter his |Level 2| state in order to not only forcefully tear through space itself but to also survive the onslaught of spatial attacks without any damage.

"Mhm." Tang Wulin hummed in reply, his 'conformation' reassuring the two. Such a feat forced the universal order to act on him in the past making the First Slayer rarely show his face in FUG matters though none of them really did.

All three rarely gave orders or commanded the organization directly, in fact, the number of FUG members who had seen their faces was limited to less than ten in total, less so for the First Slayer who hadn't shown his face in nearly three years.

"Where is the Slayer Candidate you have found?" Tang Wulin questioned the two seriously, ending all needless chatter.
