Douluo Dalu 3 | Divine Destruction

"If you lose, I'm going to divorce you." Narrowing her violet eyes at him, Gu Yuena didn't seem to be joking at all. Luckily for him, Wulin could hear the smile in her voice. Besides, he wasn't going to lose so what did it matter?

"Then what do I get if I win?" Smiling suggestively Wulin only chortled when Gu Yuena rolled her eyes. While it was possible for strange things to happen, it was nearly impossible for Wulin to lose no matter the opponent. After all, he was only allowed to lose to one person.

"Just get going." Dismissing him with a wave of her hand, Gu Yuena watched the battle between Xie Xie and Xu Xiaoyan plus Mu Xi. She hadn't seen how it started but it had consumed so much of their attention that they didn't even care to wish Wulin luck. She couldn't decide if that attitude was born from unfaltering confidence or something else but it didn't truly matter.

Making his way to the arena, Wulin was met with an energetic young woman with an ear to ear smile. Her hair was a tad closer to purple than blue and her azure eyes were filled with an infectious glee.

Though he had never seen her before, Wulin could recognize her, and judging by the murmurs of the audience they could as well. She was the youngest prospective member of the Sea God Pavilion in centuries, her strength entirely unrivaled in her generation. To put it another way, she was the second coming of Yun Ming.

"Heya! I've never met a junior as talented as you so please give me a good fight!" Beaming excitedly, she nodded her head jubilantly. "Oh right! You can call me Big Sis Dai'er. I've never had a little brother before but you can trust me with anything!" 

"You seem confident Big Sis. Are you sure you'll be able to win?" Smiling innocently Wulin gently tapped the ground with his foot, cracks spreading across the massive arena in the blink of an eye. 

Looking at the ground with wide eyes, her smile grew even larger. The power he displayed wasn't anything excessive but the fact he could do it so easily was incredibly impressive. She couldn't even begin to assume how much power he had in the small body of his!

"Looks like you'll be able to entertain me after all!" Shouting excitedly, Dai'er threw a small bead into the air. Smoke erupted from the bead as a roar shook the arena, the very earth quaking from the mere shout of the beast.

The dust parted as a massive body descended from the heavens, a bear larger than most buildings glaring at Wulin hatefully. The only soul beast Wulin could compare it to was a Duskgold Dreadclaw Bear, one of the strongest soul beasts, and yet even that felt insufficient to describe the sheer power of the beast.

'A hundred thousand year spirit beast!' A wild grin crossed Wulin's face as a golden glow spilled out of his body, wrapping around his figure like armor. Both he and the bear moved at the same time, their arms shooting forward as space itself shattered before them.

An explosion rattled the arena as the bear was sent flying back, its immense power incapable of even moving Wulin's body. But that wasn't the end, not for this bear. Spirit Souls relied on the power of the soul master to fight but this was no soul beast. It was his opponent's martial soul.

"Looks like Papa Bear wasn't enough." Placing a finger on her chin as the large bear tried to get back up despite its nearly broken arm. The glow of Dai'er's first ring faded away as Papa Bear disappeared in an instant. "Let's go, Big Bad Wolf!" Cheering excitedly, Dai'er threw a pearl toward him with her fourth ring glowing brightly.

It took a brief moment for the creature to emerge, an instant long enough for Wulin to approach and attack her but Wulin knew better. Her martial soul, Whimsical Wonderland, wasn't the usual beast or tool type so using common sense on it wouldn't work. 

'Her martial soul is the entirety of this space.' It was subtle but now that his spiritual power had reached the Spirit Domain Realm he could feel it, the prickly feeling of his instincts telling him something was off. Her martial soul was a domain, the first natural domain type in history.

Yet another explosion of smoke returned Wulin's attention to the battle, a loud howl rattling the heavens as the dust settled. A massive silver wolf large enough to crush buildings with its every step stood proudly in the center of the arena, its gigantic body radiating such an intense sense of danger that even Wulin felt unnerved.

The powerful thud of his heartbeat grew rapid as a sense of excitement he had only felt with his other half washed over him. Dai'er… she could fight him. How many people could he say that for these days? How many people could truly stand against him?

He restricted himself time and time again and yet as he grew it became harder and harder to find worthy rivals. At first, he restricted his bloodline essence to its limits. Then, when his body alone grew to rival that of a title douluo he didn't even use it anymore. 

Dashing forward, the Big Bad Wolf's head was instantly buried deep in the arena as an earthquake ran through the arena. The Papa Bear had made him use Dragon Might to defeat it and the Big Bad Wolf required him to use his first blood ring, the ability to double his physical stats, as well to defeat it.

Both times he won effortlessly but that was due to the sheer power of these amplifying abilities rather than his base power. In his usual |Level 0| he would have struggled to defeat these two monstrous beasts that rivaled that of powerful hundred thousand year soul beasts.

"Come on Big Sis, give me a good fight." Standing atop the disappearing body of the Big Bad Wolf, Wulin's wild grin only grew more crazed at her equally eager expression. A crimson glow emanated from behind her as her ninth ring danced with flames.

In an instant, the entire arena was coated in flames.
