Chapter 127: Herald of the End
Motioning for them to take a seat Luslec's dark eyes trailed over them, a feeling of vulnerability only he could instill washing over them. They all stood at the pinnacle of mortality, the peak of human potential, but he had surpassed that. He was the one and only true god.
In the last three years, things had changed dramatically for FUG. They had firmly placed themselves among the now five great powers and had a reach that permeated the entire world, an impressive growth considering it had taken forces like the Tang Sect thousands of years and a god to reach such a level. Then again, FUG had a god from the start so it wasn't quite fair.
However, the biggest growth was possibly in the highest order of the cult. The Slayers had increased from four to seven. The first four were obvious enough, the God of Devils Grace Mirchea Luslec, the God of Chains Pephomemore Seto, the God of Creation Imort, and the God of Medicine Hakm.
Then came the next three, an unruly bunch who rather than loyalty followed FUG out of a sense of desire. FUG was merely the best path to accomplish their goals and so they stayed loyal though was loyalty true when purchased?
The Fifth Slayer was the God of Souls Haoquin, the very same embodiment of white that Luslec had met three years ago during the invasion of evil soul masters. Though he had received his name from Luslec like all other Slayers, he preferred to call himself White which was far less surprising than Luslec would have originally assumed.
The Sixth Slayer was the previously mentioned Arlene, the God of Origin. Despite being in the so called 'second generation' she was far more aligned with the first, her loyalty unwavering. Of course, that wasn't quite a fair comparison considering she was rumored to be romantically involved with Luslec.
The Seventh Slayer, the God of Servitude Trantus, was unlike any of his predecessors however, and not even Luslec could fully understand the man's goals. He was an enigma among enigmas but Luslec was fine with letting him run free as long as he didn't betray FUG.
Trantus was an interesting man both inside and out, his clothing just as unorthodox as his nature. He was a handsome young man with jade green hair and sky blue eyes, a handsome combination to put it lightly.
However, as if afraid of his own charm he wore clothes fit for a man twice his size—that is to say, a giant considering he himself was over six foot—and covered the lower half of his face with a mechanical mask he personally requested from Luslec. Made of heavenly refined metals, inlaid with an array crafted by Seto, and touched up on by the mad scientist Imort it was a marvel.
"Imort." Even to Luslec, his words came off as cold however there was little to be done. He trusted many of the Slayers but some were wildcards he didn't want to reveal too much personal information to. Mostly White but Trantus as well.
"Yes, my God." Standing up and bowing to him for a moment Imort clapped his hands, a wave of soul power spreading through the air before the material of the walls changed. The once sturdy and dark walls became transparent, revealing the outside world.
Wulin had seen much of it already so he had an inkling of where this was going however as they say seeing is believing. And now that he saw the city devoid of all life yet housing food still warm on its tables with his own eyes, the oddities became more prevalent.
The architecture was far different from what he was used too, far different. Arrays were commonplace, so much so that some weak arrays were inlaid on important buildings even in small cities like Glory City. And that wasn't just limited to buildings like the Spirit Pagoda branch, it was common among the moderately wealthy homes. Hell, Luslec's home had it growing up!
And yet, this place has nothing of the sort. There weren't even any traces of it. It was as though the entire concept of arrays had been some sort of taboo and wiped from their history. But he could see far enough to know that it wasn't just one small village, it was the entirety of this continent. A continent eerily familiar to him.
"So you've found a broken off part of the Douluo continent that is still very much attached, right?" Curiously spreading her spiritual sense outward even farther than Luslec could, Arlene's usually small and taunting grin was replaced by a subtle frown.
"That is partially correct. It is not that the continent has been broken into parts but instead that it has not yet fully arrived." Calmly adding on to her words, Imort took no offense to the look of doubt sent his way.
"What do you mean 'arrived'? Is the continent supposed to walk over?" Scoffing at the mere idea White rested his feet on the table as he glared at Luslec incessantly. Unlike Trantus, White had made his goal in joining FUG incredibly clear. He wanted to kill a god and there was only one god in this world.
"Don't waste time and explain yourself." Interjecting before White could cause any bickering, Seto was running numerous calculations in his mind. FUG didn't have a headquarters as they were ultimately a cult, a force that was far from appreciated by the world, however, an undiscovered continent was the perfect chance to change that.
The question was, is it worth the cost and effort? To hide from the world long enough for them to build a proper defensive system would be difficult not to mention expensive. Was headquarters enough to warrant such a cost? Perhaps though it depended heavily on Imort's answer.
The ambient energies were purer than any other continent and it wouldn't be too difficult to hide the exact location from potential spies with teleportation arrays. However, having a base would endanger them in such a way that was easily exploited. It wasn't something to be decided quickly, much less over such a small piece of land.
"Isn't it obvious?" Tiredly resting his head on his knees Trantus was as slovenly as always, his chair replaced by a more comfortable floating blanket of sorts. "More will appear as the synchronicity between universes increases."
Everything changing about the world whether it be the Eternal Sea or the second Douluo Continent was because of the merging between parallel universes.

Hey there, hope you liked the chapter.
I'm writing this pretty far ahead so I never actually got to see your theories but I think its fair to say that none of you expected this turn of events. I'm curious what you think about this but I'm quite proud of it. More specifically, I'm proud of the ending I've started cooking up. It won't be any time soon though so don't look forward to it too much.
