Lily Gray lightly lowered her gaze, somewhat understanding why David Redington sent Annabella.

Having Annabella around essentially saved her a lot of expenses invisibly.

Reluctantly, Lily had to admit that David was right.

At least this time, he didn’t come with ill intentions.

Just as she was thinking, the door to the hospital room was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

The person had hurried, even forgetting to knock first.

“Lily… Lilyyy…” A tall and straight figure appeared at the door.

David Redington usually spoke in a concise manner and rarely revealed any emotions.

But now, there was undeniable excitement in his cold, deep blue eyes.

And the words that came out of his mouth seemed jumbled and chaotic.

Seeing him hugging her and shouting nonsensically, Lily had no idea what he was rambling about.

Lily slightly pushed him away with both hands, “What on earth are you talking about? I know, of course I’m your sister. If not for being related by marriage, your uncle wouldn’t have targeted me.”

Simply because she was Bella Scott’s daughter, she deserved to bear all the vengeance.

David Redington started speaking but stopped abruptly. The commotion earlier had made him forget about the issue with his uncle.

David Redington took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

He placed his hands on Lily’s shoulders with an unprecedented seriousness and looked at her.

“Listen to me, Lily. I must tell you a truth. Pay attention, you are my sister, a real sister…a blood sister with common parents.”

“What?” Lily Gray instantly denied his words. “Impossible!”

She shook her head, “Your sister passed away more than twenty years ago.”

If it wasn’t so, Larry Scott wouldn’t have always oppressed and taken revenge on her.

“It’s the truth.” David Redington firmly stated.

“I initially didn’t think things would turn out this way; it’s too outrageous, too incredible. But…the twins, their eyes are blue; this is evidence.”

David Redington swallowed hard, squashing down his pounding heart that was both apologetic and excitedly thrilled.

With mixed emotions, he did his best to explain to Lily Gray.

“Blue eyes are a recessive gene; if this characteristic appears in offspring, it means that there must be someone among their ancestors with this same gene.

“If you were merely Bella Scott and Noah Ford’s child, Bella Scott is a pure Eastonian, and I’ve never heard of any attempt at interracial marriage in the Ford family.”

“Therefore, the only possibility is that you are not a child of the Ford family. By coincidence, my…Lily, gaze into my eyes.”
