Chapter 64: 7.3 Kynesgrove
"Are you done?" Darius said to her, she had been clung to him for some time now, and it was getting awkward.
She slowly moved while looking away, "Ye-yeah," She said in a low voice.
"When will the cart be here?" He asked.
Temba looked at him, and thought for a second, "Oh, it will be here before dark," She said, "Where are you headed?" She asked.
"Windhelm," He answered.
Temba nodded, "Might I ask, Why?" she inquired, Darius looked around as if he was about to tell the secrets of the Empire, He leaned close to her ear, "To kill a Dragon," He said, almost making her laugh with how absurd it sounded, and then she looked at his face.
"Are you serious?" Temba asked, "Ask no further," Darius said and pulled the skull of a Dragon out of nowhere, her breath was caught in her throat upon seeing the monstrosity of a creature in front of her, its skull was more than half the size of her.
"By the Divines," She murmurs, her voice faint, "Is this… real?"
Darius stores the skull back in his Inventory, "It very much is," He said with a smirk, "Di-did you kill it?" Temba asked remembering the large winged creature that flew by a few days ago.
"Why do you think I have its head," Darius countered.
"How strong are you?" Temba blurted in disbelief.
Darius looked at her with a mix of obligation to tell her and worry, "Not strong enough," Darius said as he looked at the decapitated head of a bear that sat on the stump of the tree on which Temba cut her firewood, it was now covered in blood, 'Not strong enough,' the words echoed in his head.
Temba looked at him with worry and a sense of familiarity, she put her hand on his shoulder as a way to comfort him, which Darius didn't understand.
"I know how it feels to lose a loved one," Temba said, her eyes filled with melancholy, He turned to look at her, 'I didn't mean it like that,' He thought seeing that she misunderstood, but he wasn't rude enough to say it.
"And not be able to do anything," Temba said as a small tear welled up in her eye, and her face was filled with sorrow, Darius flicked at her forehead with his finger, ouch! Bringing her back from the awful memories she was dwelling in, "No amount of misery will bring back the dead," he said leaning on the wooden handrail.
Temba wiped her tears, as her face returned to expressionless like before, "That's what I have been telling myself," she said.
While they were sharing their moments of helplessness, Uthgerd, Lydia, and Delphine, were preparing to leave.
3:30 PM
The cart was here rather early, Temba told the guy that there wouldn't be any timber to transport, but he'd get his money, she was about to pay him, but Darius stopped her, saying he'd handle it from here.
Uthgerd, Lydia, and Delphine were standing across from them, and began to get on the cart one by one when Temba asked a question Darius had been asked a lot ever since he came here, "Are you sleeping with them?" She asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.
Darius looked at the girls for a moment and turned around slowly, "Not yet," he said with a smirk, Temba was in disbelief, 'How rude,' she thought.
As he was about to climb up on the cart Temba pulled him back, and standing on her toes, as he was quite tall, she leaned in for a kiss that lasted a few seconds.
She quickly pulled away and quick-stepped to her mill before Darius could ask anything, He chuckled and got on the cart, while Uthgerd sighed and Delphine had no interest in this whatsoever, Lydia was different, she had the face of an angry cat, 'I knew it,' She thought.

6:12 PM
Windhelm
The cart stopped near Kynesgrove, in the distance the walls of Windhelm were visible even in the thick fog, Darius, Lydia, Uthgerd, and Delphine got off the cart, and Darius paid the guy, and they were off.
-50 Gold
As Darius stepped toward the path that led up to the Braidwood Inn, a woman came running toward them, Darius' chest was filled with relief seeing that his life was scripted, 'I'd rather handle the scripted part than the unknown,' He thought.
"Ho, You don't want to go up there, A dragon… it's attacking," The woman screamed as she ran past them.
Darius looked at Delphine who had been looking sick the whole ride in the sun come to life, it was dark in Windhelm even amid noon, Skyrim was the perfect place for a vampire to thrive.
She nodded at him, ready to slay a Dragon, Darius had told Uthgerd and Lydia what they were going to do, Uthgerd was the one most excited about this whole thing, Killing a dragon? That only happens in children's books.
"Let's get going then," Darius picked up his speed, he was more confident than ever with 3 chances at life and Etheral shout will save him enough times, that he'll be able to bring the Dragon down.

The four of them hid behind boulders that surrounded Dragon Mound, and Darius laid his eyes again on Alduin, 'This fucker is too big,' he thought peeking from behind the rock.
Sahloknir! Ziil groh dovah ulse!
Alduin spoke facing the mound as a surge of blue light emitted from the mound toward the sky.
Slen Tiid Vo!
Alduin hits the mound with his shout and a skeleton of a dragon dug its way up. As flesh is knitted on its bones bringing it back to life.
It looks up to Alduin, "Alduin, thuri! Baon tiid vokriiha suleyeksejun Kruziik?" It spoke to him.
"Geh, Sahloknir Khali mir!" Alduin responds and looks toward where Darius was peeking from, 'Fuck,' Darius thought as their eyes made contact, Darius stepped away from the rock, if Alduin attacked the other three would be dead with him.
Ful, losei Dovahkiin? Zu'u koraav nid nol dov do hi
He spoke in his language, Darius could tell he was insulting him just by the tone, or did he understand him? He couldn't tell.
"You do not even know our tongue, do you? Such arrogance, to dare take for yourself the name of Dovah," He begins to translate his insults so Darius can understand, He turns to Sahloknir, "Sahloknir, krii daar joorre."
After saying that he flies off, Delphine seeing that one of them has flown off, gestures for Lydia and Uthgerd to come out of hiding.
Their hearts were beating fast looking at the behemoth standing in front of them, and Darius was ready.
Sahloknir turns toward Darius and begins to speak, "I am Sahloknir! Hear my voice and despair!"
