Lydia was on top of what appeared to be a ghost-like figure of Darius, her sword was in his 'head' and piercing the ground beneath, she quickly pulled away her sword and backed away, "I'm so sorry, my thane, I thought-" Lydia was cut off, "That I was a bear?" He said to her while looking at his astral form, making him see through, the effect was slowly fading away, "Yea- No, no, I thought it was a bear," She said with worry on her face.

"Lydia, have you ever heard of a joke?" Darius asked dumbfounded by her redundant worry, "Y-yes, why," Lydia replied, clueless of his humor, He stood up and began to laugh, making her more confused.

Roaaaar!

They both heard a roar and turned to the source which was the entrance of the cave, and saw a bear standing on his two feet, his height was around 13 feet(~4m).

Wuld!

Darius drew his sword and used Whirlwind Sprint, stabbing the bear in the side. The bear roared again but this time in pain, He wasn't done yet, he put his free arm on its stomach and used the Flame spell, lighting it on fire, The bear brought its paw down attacking him, He dodged but kept the Flame spell on the bear, it tried to run from the fire.

Wuld!

Darius used his voice again and jumped stabbing it in the neck from behind and finally bringing it down, His eyes were on the still-burning bear but he wasn't exactly looking at the bear.

Darius looked at his Perk accumulation which could've been 15 but was 12, since he spent three points on Dual Casting, Novice, and Apprentice Destruction, decreasing the Magicka his spells need.

'I think it's time to power up,' Darius thought.

Destruction:

Augmented Flames(1/2): Increase Fire spell damage by 25%

Augmented Shock(1/2): Increase Shock spell damage by 25%

One-Handed:

Armsman(2/5): +40% Damage

Bladesman(1/3): +10% Crt

Fighting Stance: 25% less Stamina usage on power attacks.

Heavy Armor:

Juggernaut(2/5): Increased Armor rating by 40%

Archery:

Overdraw(2/5): +40% Damage with Bows

Sneak:

Stealth(2/5): 25% Harder to detect

It had been a minute since he opened his System and It left him with 0 perk points, 'I hope this is enough," He prayed, and turned to look at Lydia, who was looking at the burning bear, "Let's go," He said.

Lydia pointed at the bear, "We need its pelt," She said, her voice feeling unfamiliar to him.

"Shit," He quickly cut the head of the bear separating it from the fire, "The fuck were you doing standing there?" He asked as he stored the head in his inventory.

"I-I," Lydia stuttered still lost in her world, He stepped up, and stood in front of her, "Are you alright?" He asked as he flicked his finger on her forehead.

Only for it to pass through her, He quickly equipped his sword and slashed at her neck, she turned into smoke and disappeared.

"Illusion magic," He murmured, and looked around, and saw marks of dragon something or someone leading behind the cave. 'Was I so lost that I didn't even hear anything?

Darius followed the marks on the ground, and suddenly a Firebolt made its way to him which he barely dodged and looked where it came from.

"Die man-thing," The thing in from him screamed, 'Hagraven,' a hunched, humanoid creature with a wiry frame, with clawed hands, and bird-like feet. Stood in front of him, behind it was Lydia unconscious lying on an altar.

Wuld!

Darius dashed forth and slashed at the Hagraven, cutting one of her hands off, It screeched like a banshee and brought her claws to his chest, while the attack did nothing to him, the impact broke one of her claws.

Darius swung his sword again decapitating the creature.

"That was quick," Darius thought, 'The perk works well,'

At the Vilemyr Inn:

The man who was punched unconscious by Uthgerd woke up on the bench with people surrounding him, "Calm down, son," Wilhelm said before he could wreak havoc like before.

"Get out of the way, I-I need to save her," The man said with a tear falling from his eye. "Save who?" Uthgerd asked.

"Karla, i-it killed her," The man said, the memories of the night before flooded in, "What killed her?" Wilhelm asked the man with worry on his face.

"A-a h-hunched woman with long nails and bird-like feet," The man described.

"A Hagraven," Delphine blurted out.

"Where was it?" Uthgerd asked.

"In the forest," The man said.

Darius squatted in front of the unconscious Lydia and used Healing Hands, fixing her wounds, "Hey! Wake up," he said lightly tapping her cheek, "Urgh!" Lydia moaned and tried to get up with her aching body, but collapsed on the ground.

"I'll carry you," Darius assured her, and looked at the naked dead woman next to her her stomach was sliced open, he picked Lydia up in a princess carry, and made his way out of the jungle.

Darius walked back to the town carrying Lydia and saw Uthgerd and Delphine on the way, "Where are you heading off to?" he asked. 

"We are hunting a Hagraven," Uthgerd said.

"Oh, it's dead," he replied, disappointing Uthgerd, she was hoping to kill it herself, "By the way, who told you about that?" Darius asked.

"The guy you brought back to life last night," Uthgerd replied.

'So that's how that happened,' Darius thought, "Let's get going then," he said and they headed back to town.

By the time they were in the town, Lydia had woken up, though with a headache. Darius headed to the mill and left Lydia in Uthgerd's care.

"Here," Darius said from behind Temba scaring her, AAAH "What the fuck are you doing," she said looking at him.

Darius pointed at one of the stumps of a tree, on it was sitting a decapitated head of a bear.

"Now what do I get in return," Darius said, 'Please say the Cart,' He thought his eyes closed and fingers crossed, as he felt a hug.

"Thank you, thank you so much," Temba said clinging to him, he smiled and patted her back.
