Chapter 454: Chapter 454: One Person, One Legion
"Crack!" A crisp shattering sound rang out. Muria looked at the cocoon, now a bright golden color, with a hint of expectation on his face. There was no doubt that after drinking his blood, Remilia had undergone a significant transformation, as evidenced by the change in the cocoon's glow.
As dense cracks spread across the cocoon that shimmered with golden light, it shattered with a "bang," scattering luminescent dust in all directions. A pair of magnificent wings slowly unfolded, revealing a small, curled-up, blue-haired girl with no clothes on. It seemed her clothing had dissolved during her slumber.
"Just as I expected!" Muria's face lit up with a confident smile as he looked at Remilia, now exposed. "Now, just by looking at Remilia, who would dare to call her a vampire? I'd blow their head off."
Remilia's appearance had changed drastically from before her sleep. The massive black bat wings that once symbolized her vampire identity had transformed completely.
Her wings now resembled Muria's dragon wings, covered with feather-like scales, where black and gold intertwined, forming intricate and beautiful patterns. They exuded a mysterious and majestic aura.
However, despite the impressive wings, it was hard to associate them with any sense of majesty when they appeared on Remilia's back. No matter how hard she tried to put on a serious face, it was futile.
"Muria!" Remilia's eyes opened, initially dazed, but when she saw Muria, an inner joy surfaced. She spread her wings and flew towards him, hugging him tightly.
"How do you feel after sleeping for so long?" Muria took off his cloak and draped it over Remilia before picking her up and asking gently.
"It felt warm and comfortable the whole time I was asleep," Remilia answered obediently.
"Oh!" Muria nodded, examining Remilia's unchanged red eyes. "Show me your soul rings."
Tiny sparks of electricity flickered on Remilia's body, and faint flames burned as one soul ring after another appeared, rotating behind her and radiating an enchanting yet holy light.
"Interesting!" Muria raised an eyebrow, intrigued. He had seen Remilia's soul rings when she first advanced, and back then, they were purely blood-red, exuding a sinister charm.
Now, her soul rings were still primarily blood-red but had golden patterns, giving them a regal and dominant feel.
"My blood can even influence Remilia's soul," Muria thought, his eyes narrowing slightly as he sensed the familiar aura on her fifteen soul rings.
"I've gotten stronger," Remilia said joyfully, looking at the increased number of soul rings. "Where's Indira? I want to fight her for bullying me."
"Don't be silly; you can't beat her now," Muria replied, ruffling her unchanged light blue hair. When the soul rings appeared, he noticed her red eyes had turned gold.
During the demonic calamity, Indira had devoured millions of low and mid-level demon corpses, undergoing mysterious changes. Now, even Muria felt a bit intimidated by her. Fortunately, Indira, from the void, was very obedient now.
"I think I can defeat her," Remilia said confidently, feeling the power coursing through her after drinking Muria's blood.
"Three great illusions in life!" Muria thought Remilia needed a reality check to understand her actual strength.
So, Muria called in Indira, who seemed a bit dazed, and seriously instructed her, "Go easy on her, don't hurt Remilia too much."
"I know her better than you do," Indira replied impatiently and immediately charged at Remilia, who was raring to go.
"It's slightly better than two noobs fighting," Muria thought, feeling a bit helpless. He had tried hard to teach these two girls combat skills, but they only relied on their bloodline powers or innate strength, which left Muria shaking his head.
Just as Muria was about to leave, a surprising scene unfolded. Being suppressed by Indira's overwhelming strength and realizing she couldn't win, Remilia used a vampire's signature ability: bat transformation.
In a flash of light, strange creatures resembling both bats and dragons split from Remilia's body. In just a few moments, the arena Muria had built for the two girls was filled with mutated dragon-like creatures formed from Remilia's transformation.
This level of change was within Muria's expectations, but Indira's response surprised him. Facing nearly a thousand three-meter-long dragons, Indira's body also split into an equal number of three-tailed wyverns.
"What kind of ability is this?" Muria muttered, watching the fight between the blood-winged dragons and the three-tailed wyverns, feeling a slight envy. He wanted such an "army of one" ability, but it wasn't something he could simply acquire.
Remilia's ability was clearly an evolved vampire talent, while Indira's splitting ability likely came from devouring demons. The Abyss had countless demons, so encountering a few with splitting abilities wasn't surprising.
...
After the battle with Indira, Remilia, now clear about her strength, dejectedly accepted Muria's arrangement and prepared to assume the throne that had been vacant for twelve years.
As usual, Muria broadcast Remilia's coronation ceremony nationwide, crowning the loli princess under the watchful eyes of the entire nation. Holding her hand, he led her to the throne to accept the homage of the entire kingdom of Lockman.
