DND Realms: The Rise of the Titan-Dragon Prodigy

Chapter 453: Chapter 453: Cocoon and Transformation

"The tyrant is finally leaving."

"Yes, it's about time. I thought I'd have to live under Duke Muria's rule for the rest of my life." A noblewoman smiled as she drank her wine. For someone like her, with a rather licentious lifestyle, Muria's presence was indeed oppressive.

"It's only been twelve years, and he's ready to leave. I had prepared myself for generations of rule under the Golden Dragon Duke. I even had my son trained as a paladin. Now he's always arguing with me at home. If I had known this, I wouldn't have sent him to the church."

"Same here." A middle-aged nobleman chimed in upon hearing the complaint. "To please the regent duke, I had my brother join the demon hunting squad, and sent all my family's descendants to the church."

As these complaints about Muria's rule emerged, they resonated with many, turning the previously joyful atmosphere of the banquet into one of shared grievances. The nobles began lamenting the miserable changes in their lives since Muria's governance.

These individuals seemed to selectively forget that it was Muria who had protected them during the demon disaster. Without him, many of them wouldn't be standing there safely.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen!" Just as the celebratory banquet was about to turn into a grievance session, the host of the banquet, a marquis who had achieved his highest merit during the demon disaster by slaying a gold-rank demon with his soul-level strength, enveloped his throat with battle energy and spoke loudly.

"We are gathered here to celebrate the upcoming coronation of Princess Remilia, not to complain about Regent Duke Muria. The hardest times are over, and we are about to usher in a new life."

The "brave" marquis raised his crystal glass filled with crimson wine, smiling gracefully. "To the great Queen Remilia, cheers!"

"To the great Queen Remilia!" The nobles exchanged glances and then knowingly raised their glasses, downing their drinks. The grand banquet once again fell into a joyful atmosphere, filled with laughter and harmony.

As Muria intentionally spread the news of Remilia's imminent coronation throughout the country, the once low-profile nobles became active again. One banquet after another was held to celebrate Princess Remilia's upcoming ascension, driven by certain ambitious individuals.

"Hmph!" Muria threw the intelligence report onto the desk, a sneer of disdain on his face. The report detailed the nobles' complaints about him, including times, places, and names.

"A bunch of useless fools. Are they really so eager for me to leave? Do they think they can bully Remilia because she's young and become more unscrupulous?"

"Lord Muria, these are the most useless of the nobles. The powerful ones haven't made any moves or expressed any dissatisfaction with you," Miles said, bowing his head. "They are testing your attitude, and since you haven't announced Princess Remilia's coronation date, they are still cautious."

"Tsk, it seems there are quite a few clever ones among the nobles. They are all very smart." Muria's face showed a meaningful smile. "Miles, since they have sent so many nobles to test me, I should give them some face and respond a little."

"Kill the most boisterous nobles. Let their blood remind the rest to behave. I am still the highest ruler of the Lokman Kingdom until I leave."

"How many should we kill, my lord?"

"You decide, just make it a round number." Muria said nonchalantly, "As long as it's not too excessive, it's up to you."

"Understood!" The moment Muria spoke, the cunning devil who had been with him for quite some time immediately understood.

Muria wanted him to kill a hundred nobles without counting their relatives, a number that was neither too high nor too low and fit Muria's requirement for a round number.

After giving Miles his orders, Muria used an arbitrary gate to transport himself to a heavily guarded hall. He looked at the blood cocoon in front of him, equal in height to him, with a frustrated expression.

This was why Muria hadn't announced the specific date for Princess Remilia's coronation. The loli princess had encountered an unexpected situation, and it was entirely Muria's doing.

After Remilia's transformation into a vampire, she didn't exhibit typical vampire traits except for her wings and ruby eyes. She wasn't afraid of sunlight, had no reaction to silver, and was immune to holy attacks. She even disliked blood, unlike other vampires who couldn't live without it. She was nearly a perfect being.

When Muria decided to have Remilia ascend the throne, he had the wild idea of enhancing her power by focusing on her bloodline.

Given Remilia's high-level bloodline, Muria speculated that her disinterest in blood might be due to its low quality. Much like the ancient golden dragon Bast testing Remilia with the heart of a vampire duke.

After finding that even dragon blood didn't interest her, Muria gritted his teeth and tested her with his own blood.

The result was the scene before him. Remilia, deceived by Muria into drinking the pale golden blood that emitted a strange fragrance, underwent a shocking transformation.

Her large, black wings enveloped her petite body, and a dense red light burst from her, forming a cocoon that put her into a deep sleep, beginning her transformation.

"It's just a bottle of ordinary blood. Is this really necessary?" Muria looked at the blood cocoon, which was faintly covered in a golden glow. As time passed, the golden glow grew more intense, seeping into the cocoon, causing Muria to fall into deep thought.
