Deus Nos Ducit Ad Astra Per Aspera

Chapter 4: Unforseen event

-Winter Palace- -St.Petersburg- 7.1.1900

5 years passed like a blink of an eye and Anastasia is now a young 10 year old girl.

Orthodox Christmas is in full swing and the entire Nation is celebrating the birth of Jesus with vigor and full of hopes for a better new year and a new century.

Anastasia is in the Winter Palace, the main living residence of the Imperial Family and is celebrating Christmas with her family.

"Merry Christmas Anastasia!" screamed her family with joy as Nicolas picked her up and started to spin in circles.

"Hahahah!" beamed Anastasia with happiness and started to kick her feet in the air.

"OH be careful honey!" said Alexandra with a worried tone.

As the Imperial Family was celebrating Christmas out in the City in a Warehouse a dark cloaked man is seen talking to another man dressed in a similar manner.

"When will we strike?" asked the first man in a annoyed tone that sounded rushed.

"Soon have patience" said the second man

"If this gets delayed any longer I will strike regardless!" the first man screamed at the second one.

The second man could only shake his head and continued "Just wait, I'll say when you strike, once you do ill wait for you at the extraction area."

The first man could only grunt in anger but relented and just sat quietly.

-3 days later-

Anastasia and her father where seen exiting the Duma building together flanked by the Royal Guards.

This is not her first time in a meeting between Statesmen and is already experienced in this matter much to the surprise of everyone, more so to the Statesmen as a little girl is involved such important meetings.

Anastasias intellect is proven to be expectional and made her Father think of the Tutors and Doctors reports on her.

She is unnaturally fit and strong for her age, as she can punch a grown man and cause him to fall on his back.

But it seems that she can't always use that strength but makes out for her genius albeit very childish intelligent mind.

That Mind of hers caused many to be shocked to the point that even the Orthodox Church of Russia called her a gift from God.

Well they are not wrong in that regard.

She gave many pointers and fixed mistakes of many Doctors, Politicians and even those he made.

She has been a life saver as she did so much that even Russia itself is seen to be brighter than before she started to attend State meetings.

"Dad that meeting was boring those new Ministers have no idea what they are doing." said Anastasia in an annoyed tone as she got tired from hearing those incompetent Ministers.

"Don't worry Anna, thay are new and will get used to their new positions and start to do better, this is their first meeting afterall unlike you who has been attending for 5 years."

"Yes Dad I understand." "Can we get something to eat I'm hungry after all that talking" Anastasia nodded and suggested to eat out in the City.

"Hmm sure but we can't stay for long or your mother will eat me inside out." Nicolas accepted his daughters plea and joked about his wife.

This caused Anastasia to giggle as both father-daugther pair made down the stairs of the entrance of the Duma and walked their way to the car prepared for them.

*BANG*

"Huh?" exclaimed Anastasia as she look down at her arm.

It's bleeding profusely.

"Anna!" screamed Nicolas as he grabbed his daughter in fear. That was the last think she heard before she lost consciousness.

Anastasia woke up but she not where she previously was.

"Where am I? Dad? Daddy!?" she screamed in fear.

Anastasia stood up but what she saw caused her to stand still in fear and confusion, with her pupils smaller than the point of a needle

The Grand Kremlin Palace is burning in a crimson inferno while men are throwing items in a bonfire laughing maniacally.

At the top of the Flagpole where the Imperial Flag used to fly proudly flew a different one.

Blood red with a golden Hammer and Sickle.
