Destroying My Own World

Chapter 291: Uncontrollable.

The Lord wasn't confined or imprisoned when he was banished by Mykel, and he was unharmed or anything. He was so sure that Mykel would kill him or erase his existence knowing Mykel's power was beyond his understanding.

Although he was unharmed, he was trapped in a place, small enough that he couldn't walk around. He didn't know why he was sent there in the first place and why he was abandoned and forgotten.

He didn't know how long it had been since the time felt like moving very slowly and it felt like he had been there for hundreds of years. He didn't know what to do since he lost his power, so he decided to use his time to think.

"I wonder why is he keeping you alive," Mykel's voice could be heard from behind The Lord.

The Lord glanced at the dark figure that appeared behind him, the remnant of the abyss that took over Mykel's body. He didn't want to waste his time speaking with that dark figure, he didn't have anything to say to that figure in the first place.

"It's a shame that he sealed your power. If not, I would have devoured you and made myself a better version of him," The dark figure said.

The Lord kept ignoring him, but he was convinced when Mykel said that he couldn't control his own power. It was like a big fire where it couldn't control the embers, and the embers started a new fire around the big fire. Once the embers created their own fire, they would devour each other and the victorious would become the biggest fire that had ever existed.

"You're not the only one who has that kind of thought. You're just one of the many," The Lord said without looking back at the figure. "That ambition has turned you into envy," he continued.

"Funny that you said that because he came from nothing, a mere mortal who had nothing. What makes you think I can't do what he has achieved?" The figure asked.

"It's simple. You're not him, and you're born not from me, but you're born from him. He achieved everything without using my power, and now you think you can achieve what he can by devouring me? You won't be able to achieve like he did if you don't start from the bottom," The Lord answered.

The figure was pissed when he spread the abyss around The Lord and pushed him to the invisible wall. The Lord was about to get devoured, but the figure held himself back because he knew it would waste the only opportunity he had.

"I'm just a small dot in a massive painting. You're the same as me, and you won't be able to create a painting with just a dot. Mykel is the one who holds the brush," The Lord said.

The figure released him from the abyss and then the figure walked away as he pulled back into the abyss into his body. The figure was annoyed and frustrated that The Lord was right about it, but he believed he could make a change.

The Lord knew the ambition that the dark figure had was nothing but false hope. The Lord already knew the difference between his existence and Mykel's and that was the way their other self existed. One existed with free will that created a different path from his other self while the other one had no free will and no matter what they wanted, they could only follow the same linear path.

The most critical point that made the abyss couldn't achieve what Mykel had achieved was that they weren't living beings. As long as they had no physical body and a soul, they wouldn't be able to become like Mykel as what Amaryllis found out about the abyss.

"We will see. As long as we have the same ambition, we will be strong enough to replace him," The figure said and disappeared without a trace.

The Lord wondered if he had just found out about the most crucial flaw in Mykel's power. It was a hint that made him think if he could create a conflict between them. He decided to sit down and think about what kind of plan that could make it happen.

At the same time, Mykel and Sasha had been satisfying each other with no care for their surroundings. Neither of them was tired of each other and they indulged in pleasure until Mykel decided to stop since it was more than enough.

"If I'm going to die today, I have no regrets," Sasha said as she rested her head on Mykel's chest with nothing covering her body.

"You're already dead, Sasha," Mykel chuckled as he caressed her body. "Where else would you go from here?" he asked and glanced at her.

"That depends on what you're planning to do for me," Sasha answered and stared back at Mykel and she was finally able to stare at those yellow eyes. "I know you so well that you have something planned for me. There's no way you would send Elena away if I'm not here, right?" she pointed out with her eyebrows raised.

"Are you satisfied, or do you want to do a few more rounds?" Mykel asked and dodged that question.

"It's okay, Mykel. You don't have to," Sasha smiled gently as she touched the lips that she had been kissing. "I believe after letting you put your power inside me, I'm strong enough to accept whatever you want me to do," she continued and she was genuinely happy and satisfied.

Mykel nodded his head and then he carefully lifted Sasha so he could stand up. He snapped his fingers and cleaned himself and Sasha in an instant with a new pair of clothing on their bodies.

"Follow me," Mykel said as he offered his hand to Sasha.

Sasha grabbed Mykel's hand and no matter how terrifying the thing that was about to be revealed, she was calm and collected. Mykel's presence had always been the light in her life, and she had no idea if she was programmed by The Lord or if it was truly her genuine feeling toward him.

She believed that she had just walked down the stairs, but suddenly she was already in another place that seemed far away from the throne. Space, time, and sense didn't exist in the place called Singularity, and she still couldn't comprehend how confusing it was.

"You have told me what you know from Elena, and I have to say that it's not really that far off from who I am," Mykel said as he kept walking and guiding her by holding her hand. "If she knew how am I alive, she might know the answer to everything," he continued.

"Are you planning to show me everything?" Sasha asked and looked at Mykel's serious expression as if he was prepared to risk himself and face everything that tried to stop him from bringing her to the truth.

"Wait here," Mykel said as he let go of his hand from Sasha's hand.

The moment Mykel let go of his hand, that was when fear started to crawl under Sasha's feet and up to her neck in an instant. That feeling of emptiness and nothingness was more unsettling for her because she knew how it felt.

When she was struggling to hold herself together, something raised in the distance, something that immediately put her down to her knees as if her strength had fled from her body. She didn't know what it was since there was nothing but darkness in front of her, but she knew something was standing there, staring at them.

"Mykel... what is that..." Sasha asked as she held her tears and tried not to cry.

"This is why I told you that you weren't ready," Mykel pointed out without bothering to look back to check on Sasha's condition. "That's something that protects the truth. Once we walk past it, you will know everything," he continued and he looked so calm.

"We are going to walk past that?" Sasha asked in fear.

"Yes, but we are not alone," Mykel answered as he looked over his shoulder, staring at something way far behind Sasha. "We're not the only ones who wanted to get through it," he continued as dark figures appeared and walked past Sasha.

Sasha looked at the dark figures and she had no idea how many of them were around her. They were all glaring at her even though they had no eyes, but the hatred and envy that they showed were so obvious.

"You have become far stronger than Elena, but you're still on your knees, unable to move. That's why I told you that it would be better if she's not here," Mykel pointed out. "The Lord said what I possess is a true singularity, but that's not the truth," he paused as he put a cigarette in his mouth. "That's the source of my power, the singularity itself, and I'm the one who created this abyssal monstrosity," he continued as the cigarette became the only light that existed in pitch darkness.
