Chapter 28: Chapter 28: McGonagall’s Future Headache
Raven stared smugly at his fellow classmates. Why? Because he was sitting in the corner of the class enjoying himself playing with transfiguration, while everyone struggled with properly changing their needles and matches back and forth in quick succession.
"Mr. Inanis, I hope you are at least studying for this class." Minerva said as she seemed to just appear in front of Raven who only grinned as he showed little transfigured men fighting a war.
Each one covered in immaculate detail. Almost life like.
"Yep." He waved his wand and charmed all the little figurines to start fighting. "I'm still trying to figure out how to make them properly shoot like a gun does." He added on with a pout.
Minerva only winked at him as she turned, discreetly waving her wand as the figurines started shooting, as if they had working guns.
"Animatio Alteratio." Minerva whispered conspiringly as she went to check on the other students.
"Oh and Mr. Inanis, please come to my office tomorrow morning." Minerva said strictly as she finally walked away.

Raven hummed in thought as he walked through the hallways of Hogwarts. As he did though, he was pondering on something he had been curious about.
Why is it that runes of opposing mythologies could be used? Oh, he and the wizards all knew that the beings of mythology existed, though their legends may be inaccurate, they still existed to this day.
So how is it that a Greek rune for Lightning paying tribute to Zeus, can function alongside a rune for Wind paying tribute to Amun. The opposing energies belonging to different myths shouldn't work, but they do.
Runes drew a fragment of the conceptual existence of the gods and brought it into existence. So he really wanted to know just how it could function. From what he read, beings of different mythology don't always have the best track record.
(ZEUS, YOUR SON HAS RETURNED!!!!)
Raven sighed as he finally arrived at his room and flopped down on his bed.
"Ugh, why can't things make proper sense?" He demanded to himself with a pout. With the grace of a five year old, he rolled off the bed and onto the floor where he summoned a toy and started playing with Izzy who meowed at him.
"Oh who's a good cat. You're a good cat." Raven cooed softly as he held a little fuz toy and waved it around.
He mused that perhaps he should invest in a laser pointer for the fun of it. However in that moment a brilliant thought came into his head.

The next morning, Raven lazily walked his way into his transfiguration teachers class after a nice breakfast.
Mmm bacon.
"Raven, I'm glad you're on time." Minerva stated, though Raven distinctly recalled no time being mentioned beside "morning" in her request.
"Yes, I'm here in the morning." Raven snarked back. Minerva rolled her eyes.
"Yes, you are." She snarked back, and Raven grinned at her. Oh he did love their little games.
"Now, for why I asked you here. I'm willing to offer you extra training in transfiguration to achieve your Animagus form. However it won't be easy. I will teach you everything you need to know about human and animal transfiguration and more." Minerva stated seriously.
"Yes." Raven stated. He'd already been recently looking up the requirements, and he felt he could have maybe figured it out on his own by the end of the year. Just barely.
"Good. Now, first and foremost, keeping a mandrake leaf in your mouth for a whole month straight." Minerva said as she held a fresh mandrake leaf out to Raven who took it and stuck it inside his mouth.
"Oh this uncomfortable." He said slowly as he tried to figure out how to talk properly with it.
"Yes it is, also no magic to be used in the leaf or it loses its effect." McGonagall added after a moment as she waved her wand and a sand dial image formed on the back of his hand.
"When this fades away, come find me." Minerva said as she smiled and levitated twenty three books over to her desk.
"Now, let us begin." She said grinning like a demon, and for the first time in his life, Raven felt true fear.

"Motherfucker!" Raven cursed as he almost let the leaf come out his mouth. Even eating was a struggle!

Really short chapter, sorry, I just couldn't think of how to elongate this chapter without editing my guide for this year. No thanks.
Hope you enjoyed it despite the shortness.
