Chapter 7: Six Powers
"Hmm? Why is it so noisy in there?"
Garp, who had just walked to the front of the wooden house, stopped. He realized it seemed a little noisy inside.
But he didn't stay for long. He directly pushed open the wooden door to find no one gathered inside, so he locked his gaze on a green curtain behind him.
"Ace has gone out to sea! In another three years, I will also become a pirate! Then become the Pirate King!"
A passionate, boiling voice sounded from behind the curtain, seemingly a teenager, and this guy seemed very interested in becoming a pirate, even wanting to become the Pirate King.
Hearing these words, Garp's face was difficult. He gently lifted the curtain to take a clear look at what was happening inside.
"Pfft--!!!!"
"Hmm? ... This familiar scene!"
Sitting inside the curtain, wearing a straw hat and red vest, the teenager's entire face turned from green to pale. He slowly turned his head back.
"Cough cough! It looks like you're still very naive, still saying things like this! I can't do anything about Ace going out to sea, but Luffy, do you still want to become a pirate?!"
Garp looked at the teenager sitting on the ground with a green face, his fists rubbing and making cracking sounds.
"No... no... it's not..."
The teenager - Luffy instantly got up to try to escape. However, Garp only needed to explode forward and grab Luffy, easily picking him up like a little chick, followed by a round of "Fists of Love".
"Hmph hmph, so this is your grandson? He doesn't seem like a bad person." Zavia leaned against the edge of the curtain, arms crossed, watching Garp and Luffy inside, all kinds of memories began to surface.
"Not bad? Don't be silly. This guy shouts every day about becoming a pirate. I have a headache because of it. But on this point, Dadan, do you remember what I told you?"
Garp glanced annoyedly at Zavia, then looked ferociously at the orange, curly-haired woman at the other wooden door – Dadan – with steaming fists.
"Ah, well, that is..."
Boom!
Without even letting her explain, Garp went straight over and punched her. Then Dadan slowly lay down on the ground, with the same "huge bump" on her head as Luffy's.
"Humph! Luffy, get out of here and go train!" Garp blew on his fist, then glared at Luffy viciously and spoke.
Upon hearing this, Luffy immediately got up with a frightened expression and ran out of the wooden house. It seemed this little guy was really afraid of Garp.
"Well then, old man, I'll just take a walk around since you're resting here. It's a good chance for me to take a look at this island."
Zavia left these words and exited the wooden house, completely ignoring Garp, why? Because this guy had fallen asleep! This left Zavia not wanting to say anything at all.
After leaving the wooden house, Zavia raised his head to look at the sky. The dazzling sunlight made his eyes unable to open fully.
(The sun huh? I feel like I haven't seen the sun at all.)
Zavia gave a cold laugh, then stopped paying attention. He took a step forward and started strolling around this forest.
At this time it was noon. Sunlight shone between the shadows of the trees, producing a dappled effect that looked extremely picturesque.
"Sigh, kinda boring. It feels no different from when I first arrived in the pirate world, in that forest."
Zavia walked among these shadows, feeling a little bored. This wasn't his goal for coming to the Pirate World. He still had to search for the Demon God's Core. Although he didn't know if this world had it. But he guessed there should be. After all, Valona wouldn't have sent him to this world for no reason.
"But there's no use thinking about it now. I'm not very familiar with using spatial abilities yet. Although in the three days on the navy ship, I can do something similar to space teleportation."
Space teleportation. This was an ability Zavia had awakened while on the navy ship.
The main reason was because Vergil in Devil May Cry could originally teleport. Adding the Space Core's help, Zavia could comprehend it very quickly.
Incidentally, Vergil's teleportation distance in the original game was around 10 meters. Now after the Space Core's enhancement, Zavia could freely teleport within 25 meters.
But Zavia guessed 25 meters shouldn't be the limit. It could still grow. Zavia's current goal was to be able to freely teleport within 100 meters.
But that would require spending a lot of time. After all, although this power could solve many issues through imagination, imagination alone was not enough. Practice was indispensable.
"Oh well, since I'm here, might as well go take a look at Luffy. Although my feelings for him aren't as deep as Ace's, he's still Ace's brother after all. Time to get more familiar."
With this thought, Zavia leapt onto a tree. Then he activated space teleportation and disappeared from the tree.

Somewhere on Mt. Colubo, a man wearing a red vest and straw hat was training here.
"Rubber Rubber Pistol!"
As he shouted out the move name, his right hand miraculously stretched out, shooting straight at a boulder 5 meters away in front. The result was the boulder shattering into pieces.
"I say, if you really want to defeat your enemies, I suggest you not shout out your move names. Although it makes you look cool, it's also very stupid."
"Who?!" Luffy was frightened by this sudden voice. He quickly turned around to see a white-haired man in a blue coat standing under a tree.
"Did I startle you? Really sorry about that. Let me introduce myself, I'm Zavia, a navy candidate." Zavia walked out from behind the tree and introduced himself at the same time.
"I'm Luffy, the man who will become Pirate King." Luffy smiled merrily at Zavia, blurting out his dream without hesitation – to become the next Pirate King.
"Is that so? Then you gotta be careful, because I'm a navy soldier."
"No problem, bring it on!"
"Luffy, you really are as interesting as I imagined. Here, this is for you."
A smile surfaced at the edge of Zavia's mouth. Then he took out two pieces of meat from his spatial pouch and threw them to Luffy.
"Meat!! Thank you so much, you're a great guy!" Luffy happily laughed after catching the meat Zavia threw over, like a little kid.
"You're welcome, consider it my gift for our first meeting. See you, next time we meet will probably be out at sea."
"Oh! Anytime!"

Goa Kingdom city
At this time, night had fallen. Zavia was squatting on the roof of a very stately building, looking at the so-called "nobles" below whose faces were full of the word "happiness".
A trace of cold laughter appeared on his face. Happiness? That wasn't what Zavia saw. All he saw was one word: cannibals.
For the sake of their so-called honor and supposed "happy" lives, to fawn over the Celestial Dragons, they didn't hesitate to sacrifice the residents living in the slums, even treating their fellow nobles with ruthless coldness. In Zavia's eyes, these guys were just a bunch of ignorant people.
"Oh well, although I said that to Luffy, it's unlikely I'll actually capture him." Gazing at the traffic below, Zavia recalled what he said to Luffy at noon. He couldn't help feeling a little helpless.
Although One Piece was a hot blooded manga, so to create a hot blooded atmosphere, Zavia had deliberately said that. But later when he thought about it, he was still too naive after all.
Zavia scratched his cheek. Then he stood up and glanced at the bright moon behind him. The pale moonlight shone onto Zavia's figure below, stretching his shadow out on the ground into many long shadows.
The shadows just happened to reach the edge on top of the building. The shadow wasn't a normal human shape, but a demon with shoulders sticking out, horns on its head, and its two arms were like devil claws.
"Humph, it's also about time to go find that old Garp guy. If I have to wait until his vacation ends, who knows how long that'll be. Might as well have him teach me the Six Powers now."
At this time, the wind blew up and his blue coat fluttered slightly in the wind. Zavia glanced at the people below, showing another cold smile, before disappearing from the building top. The people passing by below seemed to sense the cold, hurriedly pulling their clothes tighter.

One week later, in a certain part of Mt. Colubo forest, one blue and one white blur repeatedly navigated through the forest. Wherever the blurs passed, trees would definitely fall.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Sounds resembling cannon fire echoed throughout this stretch of forest. The blue blur endlessly swung its fists at the white blur ahead.
"Tempest Kick!"
Ding!
The blue blur suddenly unleashed a kick at the white blur. A blue slicing attack erupted from its foot.
"Hmph."
The white blur gave a cold snort. It directly threw a punch, instantly dispersing the blue slashing attack.
"We'll stop here, brat Zavia. You've progressed pretty quickly this past week."
The white blur stopped moving. An old man with gray-white hair wearing navy attire stood under a tree, arms crossed as he looked at the white-haired young man before him.
"You think so? I feel it's been alright." The white-haired young man patted some dust off his blue coat, looking very much at ease.
"Hmph, I really wonder what's up with your body. Who can master the Six Powers in just one week? You're a monster." The old man – Garp – looked at Zavia a little helplessly, though it was a meaningful sort of helpless.
"A monster huh. Maybe." Hearing Garp's words, Zavia's eyes lowered as he looked at his right hand and the Yamato sword.
That's right, what exactly am I? A monster? A devil? Or a human? Perhaps I'm none of those. Ever since that incident, I've practically discarded the most fundamental part of being human, Zavia thought thusly.
"There you go again, brat Zavia. This whole week you keep saying you're not human. To be honest I'm very curious whether those words are true or false."
Instead of seeming surprised at Zavia's words, Garp just picked his nose, indicating his curiosity.
In response, Zavia only smiled. His blue pupils gazed at the sea peeking out between the trees. Regarding this issue, he still couldn't give Garp an answer yet.
In this past week, Zavia had finally calmed down to think over many things that could be considered philosophical questions.
Why exactly was he chosen? Why him, and not someone else? What kind of existence was this so-called Demon God? Since there was the 2D world, was there a world outside the world? All sorts of questions troubled Zavia. There were too few clues and too many mysteries.
