Defying the Rogue Alpha

Chapter 8: Chapter 8

"I assumed because I was disappointing the last night we were together, you wouldn't really be so thrilled to see me or grant me anything."

He got up from his seat and moved over to her. "Does it matter to you that I am disappointed?"

"Yes. I made you a promise, and I intend to keep it. I just do not have any prior experience." Ava needed to think on her feet; she didn't intend to be like the other concubines who are only useful when summoned. She planned to get him to need her, to want her. So she would be whatever woman he wanted her to be. The goal was to steal his heart and use it.

He looked impressed at her response. He lifted her face to look up at him with the tip of his finger.

"There is something about you, Ava. It is stupid and brave all at the same time. You stand before me like a woman who does not fear me."

"Should I? Life is more than just sex, isn't it? You are a lonely man, Alpha Raventhorn, and you know this. I may be a lowly omega from the Crimson Pack but if you let me and teach me, I could be much more, I could be your companion. I could be your friend, your confidant."

"You want me to teach you to please me."

"Yes. This is part of what you brought me here for, isn't it? Then take me."

His eyes darkened as she continued to speak, and they dropped to her lips. Ava knew she was treading dangerous waters. Power doesn't come easy. She was going to be Luna, if she had to suck his cock for breakfast, lunch and dinner, then she would.

"You know what they say, those who can't do, teach."

"Do you believe that?"

He leaned down to her. Her breath caught as she anticipated. She knew what his kisses felt like, as brutal as the man. But she maintained her resolve.

When his lips met with hers, though, she was shocked. It was gentle, soft. She kissed him back and heard a low growl in his chest.

He pulled away instantly, "You cannot… I cannot… No!"

His struggle was painful, and his face clouded with anger. "I will call you when I need you. But I do not plan on teaching you. I do not plan on being patient. I don't care if you are a virgin. I will rip you apart from the inside out with this!" He grabbed her hand and placed it on his hard-on.

He was trying to scare her; she could see that. She had too much riding on him to be afraid now. She wrapped her small fingers around him and caressed him through his pants.

He stepped away from her. "I don't do passion, Love. You want money?" He fished in his pockets and handed her a card. "there! Go! And do not bother me for money again."

"Now, run along, little omega," he murmured. "And next time you try to use that mouth of yours to get what you want… I will stick something else inside it. and I will ensure you know how to use it properly."

Lucas pulled away and turned back towards his seat. "You're dismissed."

Ava gave a small smile. She could see the cracks; it would take time, but time was all she had now.

The moment she shut the door behind her, she gasped aloud. The courage she showed in there had taken a lot out of her.

Ava twirled in front of the huge mirror, admiring the way the sheer red dress hugged her body. "I have to say, I look good." She said proudly.

Lily, who had excitedly been her escort, rolled her eyes. "Please, you know you look good. Now you just look expensive."

"I was going for sexy."

"Mission accomplished then. Sexy and expensive."

They had spent the last three hours raiding racks of shoes, dresses, and jewelry. Ava had never been afforded such luxury before, and she allowed herself to indulge in the moment. If she was going to play this dangerous game, then she might as well look the part.

She turned to look at herself in the mirror again, running her fingers through her hair that was only just recovering from the lack of care it had been through.

Once they were done with shopping, they approached the cashier, who rang the items up.

"That's three thousand five hundred dollars." The cashier said. Ava reached in her pocket and handed the card Lucas had given her to the cashier.

The woman glanced at it, and her eyes widened.

"This is Alpha Lucas's card. Where did you get this?"

"Ava, what are you doing? How did you get the Alpha's card?" Lily asked, panicking.

"He gave it to me." Ava shrugged, not seeing it as a big deal. "He told me to keep it."

"That's impossible." Lily gasped.

"Are you sure you ladies didn't steal this?" The cashier asked, her eyebrow tilted upward.

"I didn't."

"We will have to confirm that you have permission to use this card." She signaled to security, who stood by the door, watching them closely.

The cashier headed into the back room.

"Ava, please tell me you didn't swipe it off the alpha." Lily begged.

"Lily, I promise he gave me the card."

"I don't understand why the alpha would just hand you his card."

"What's your point?" Ava asked, getting irritated. "I'm sure he gives you money to shop also."

"We have an allowance that we use. We do not have access to the alpha's money."

Ava bit her tongue then. Maybe it was a mistake to have taken Lily with her. They were rivals for the alpha's affection after all. She really needed to start thinking smart.

The cashier got back, handed them a receipt, and their purchase. "I apologize for the misunderstanding. The alpha cleared the purchase."

Lily stood dumbfounded, and Ava could see a tad bit of jealousy on her face. Apparently, she wasn't the only one of the concubines who wanted more from the alpha.
