Chapter 21: Date with Wonder Woman
Jumping out of the batwing in my stealth suit, I blend with the darkness of the night as I glide towards the hotel room where Wonder Woman was staying after her home was destroyed in her battle with Cheetah.
Opening the window, I entered the empty hotel room.
Finding a chair in the corner, I sat on it as I watched a cartoon on my mask—something I never had the chance to do in my past or in this life— while I waited for Wonder Woman.

I heard the door open and quickly closed the Tasmanian Devil cartoon as Diana walked in wearing casual clothes and carrying a handbag.
Putting her handbag on the bed, Diana paused slightly as she looked around the room for a moment before shaking her head. Even with her supernatural senses, she wouldn't be able to spot me in my stealth suit.
'Her instincts are impressive,' I thought as I prepared to switch to my bat suit. But Diana took out her cellphone from her handbag and called someone.
'Eden.'
Eden understood what I wanted and connected me to the call too.
"Hello," Diana greeted when the call connected.
"Hello, Diana." A woman's voice came from the other side of the call.
"Acantha, have you found any information about the machine man who calls himself 'Batman' from Gotham?" Diana asked as she started to undress.
'God damn, look at her body. And now that I get a good look at her, she is tall as well, probably around 185 cm,' I thought as I admired Wonder Woman's muscular yet feminine physique, especially her well-defined six-pack, which caught my attention like a moth to a flame.
"Thanks for asking, Diana. I'm doing okay, how are you?" Acantha said with a hint of sarcasm.
[Acantha]
"We saw each other two days ago, sister. I doubt anything has changed, and I'm calling for info, not to catch up."
"Straight to the point, very well. I've been looking, but there's no one named Batman in Gotham, Diana. Steve also tried to find him and even called in some favors, but no luck. However, we did learn about a cult that worships a bat deity. Maybe this Batman is connected to them," Acantha explained. She was the Amazon who stayed behind and married Steve Trevor.
Diana stepped into the shower with her phone on speaker, and I just continued to sit on the chair inside the room while feeling like a pervert since I just watched her get naked, but strangely, I couldn't take my eyes off of her, probably because of puberty... Definitely because of puberty.
Which was not in my plan since, after Diana entered the room, I wanted to act all cool and mysterious as I revealed myself from the shadows. But the gossip girl inside me took over, and I found myself eavesdropping on Diana's phone call.
[3RD POV]
"That Batman is dangerous, sister. He took down Cheetah immediately with no effort and took a direct blow from me without even flinching. I need you to find him as soon as possible."
"Oh my, is it interest I hear in your voice? It is the first time you've shown interest in anyone, let alone a man. Looks like spring has arrived for our little princess," Acantha teased Diana with a playful voice.
She took what Diana said about Batman being dangerous as a joke, since she thought Batman was nothing but a mortal 'man' in armor, a mistake many will make in the future that they will come to regret deeply.
"Did you even listen to a word I said, sister? I said he was dangerous, not that I'm interested in him," Diana said as she lay in the bathtub.
"Still, I can't deny that he has caught my eye. Maybe he will catch my interest as well once I get to know him better, but we will see about that since he said he would visit me soon. Something I'm looking forward to," Diana said with a smile as she closed her eyes to relax.
"If he is going to visit you, why are you asking us to investigate him? Just beat him a little, then use your lasso on him," Acantha said angrily as Diana wasted her time finding information about someone who doesn't exist...yet.
"Just in case he was lying," Diana said as she grabbed her phone. "You've never been the brightest one, sister."
"What did you just say?!" Acantha shot back angrily, but Diana ended the call and tossed her phone aside.
Rising from the bathtub, Diana ignored Acantha's call and dried off with a towel as she headed to her bedroom.
Hearing her footsteps, Batman stood up from his chair, switched into his bat suit, and guided Batwing outside the window via remote control. Then he stood in front of the window, looking outside and trying to act cool.
Opening the bathroom door, Diana saw Batman standing in front of the window with his back turned towards her. She quietly drew her sword and shield from her arm bracelets, letting her towel fall as her armor materialized.
"Diana," Batman said, turning his head just as her sword sliced through the air and shattered the window.
"Too impatient and arrogant," Batman remarked as he turned around and saw Wonder Woman in her battle armor looking at him.
"While you possess the strength to destroy worlds, your pride in it blinds you, Diana," Batman said as Diana swung her sword. But he caught her sword and pulled her into an embrace before leaping out the window.
"Let go of me, machine," Wonder Woman said as she struck Batman with her shield.
"We can't have our date here, Diana. You are a violent woman. It's dangerous for the civilians," Batman said as they landed inside the Batwing.
Releasing Wonder Woman, Batman made his way to the cockpit and piloted the Batwing towards space.
"What is this machine? Are you attempting to trap me?" Wonder Woman asked, pointing her sword at Batman's head.
"I told you when we first met that this is a suit, and I am Batman, a human, not a machine," Batman replied as the Batwing reached space less than a second.
"And I'm here for the date I promised you," Batman said, activating arena mode as the Batwing transformed into a coliseum, not too big, only the size of a football field. "What better date for the Amazon princess than having a hearty fight."
"What kind of sorcery is this?" Wonder Woman exclaimed, quickly scanning her surroundings.
"I know you have questions, Diana, but let's get to know each other first," Batman said, walking toward her. Suddenly, he threw a punch, hitting her in the face and sending her crashing into the wall.
Getting up, Wonder Woman shook her head slightly and tightened her grip on her swords as she rushed towards Batman.
She swung her sword at Batman, but he slightly moved aside and kneed her in the stomach. However, Wonder Woman blocked the attack with her shield and headbutted him.
As Wonder Woman's head approached, Batman chose not to evade. He let her strike him while slightly jumping, using the impact force to get away from Wonder Woman.
The impact sent Batman towards the wall. In mid-air, he quickly deployed a grappling hook from his suit and shot it to the ground, halting his fall.
He glanced at Wonder Woman, who was smiling. "You were holding back against the Furry," he remarked as the grappling hook retracted.
"Furry?" Wonder Woman asked, confused.
"Cheetah."
"Ah, you are talking about Barbara," Wonder Woman said, slightly relaxing her posture. "Because she is not a bad person, she used to be my friend before she became like that, and I want to help her become human again and maybe restore our friendship along the way."
"Do you want me to make a cure for her?" Batman asked as he slowly approached her.
"What she has is a curse, not a disease."
"I'll need to look into the curse to make a cure, it might take a while, but for now I think I can create a cure for her animality, making her appear completely human like before." Batman said, standing directly in front of her.
"In that case, I will be forever thankful."
"You are a good person, Diana," Batman replied before suddenly punching her with enough force to create a shockwave. "And I am not."
"Have you not learned to never let your guard down in a battle, princesses? Or all you did was play dress up with mommy." Batman mocked Wonder Woman to get her riled up.
Touching her lips, Wonder Woman looked at her blood. "Heh," she scoffed, wiping her mouth and throwing her shield towards Batman, blocking his vision as she rushed towards him.
With her sword raised, she swung at Batman's head as he held up his arm to block it. But the sword was a feint, as Wonder Woman kicked towards Batman's leg, which he dodged by jumping backwards. However, that was also a feint, as Wonder Woman took out her lasso from nowhere and threw it towards Batman's legs.
Seeing his leg get caught, Batman decided to let Wonder Woman have some fun by not using his armor to vibrate his body molecules, allowing the lasso to pass through him. A feature he added to his suit when he saw the Vibra-Space Belt in the 'Sneak Peek' episode of Batman Beyond.
Catching Batman by his leg, Wonder Woman pulled him towards her as she lifted her leg high and hit his chest with the heel of her boots, slamming him against the ground.
Taking advantage of his height advantage, Batman kicked Wonder Woman's leg as she fell on him, then he punched her, sending her to the side as he got up.
"I haven't been this excited since I fought with my mother for the right to travel to the man's world," Wonder Woman said as she got up.
"I accept your date, Batman, because this is a perfect date for me," she declared, rushing toward him with a bright smile.
They fought on for hours, perhaps the whole day, with no clear winner.

*Huff...Huff...Huff*
Wonder Woman kneeled on one knee, panting heavily. Her heart was pounding, and sweat soaked her body. Bruises covered her body while her hands bled. Her body screamed at her to rest, to stop, but her Amazon spirit and pride refused to surrender.
"That is enough, Diana," Batman said as he looked down at Wonder Woman, who looked like she could pass out at any moment.
"I will... *huff*... never lose... *huff*... not to a man," she said as she swung her swords at him, but fell first, gritting her teeth as she tried to push herself from the ground.
"Looks like fighting brings out the true Amazon in you, a man-hating feminist," Batman remarked as he pressed her pressure points, knocking her out. The coliseum transformed into the Batplane, which was the size of a heavy jet, 9 meters in length, 2.5 meters in height, and 2 meters in width.

"'Tsk, she didn't use her divine power," Batman clicked his tongue in annoyance while he carried the unconscious Wonder Woman to the Batplane's bedroom.
While he could forcefully experiment on her to obtain the data he wanted, he didn't want to damage his relationship with such an important character.
