Chapter 8: PART-8

A few days had passed, and Dua's health had gradually improved. She sat on the sofa with Irha, who had been busy searching for jobs during this time. Meanwhile, Jungkook and Jimin realized it was time to head to the office and went to their rooms to get ready.

As Irha rifled through a stack of newspapers, she called out to Dua, excitement evident in her voice. "Dua, look at this!" she said, waving a newspaper in the air. She had been circling job ads with a marker, her eyes alight with hope.

"What is it?" Dua asked, curiosity piqued as she leaned closer.

Irha pointed to an ad. "There's a job at a mall, and the salary is pretty good. I'm planning to check it out tomorrow," she said, her voice filled with determination and a touch of nervous anticipation.

Dua smiled warmly. "That sounds promising. You should definitely go."

At that moment, Jimin came downstairs, his demeanor calm yet distant. With a playful glint in her eye, Irha called out, "Mr. Ghost, could you spare a moment?"

Jimin, feigning indifference, continued to walk away, but Irha, refusing to be ignored, called out again, "Mr. Jimin, please, just for a minute!"

Finally, Jimin approached her, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Yes, Miss Witch, what is it?" he asked, his tone laced with mockery yet tinged with genuine interest.

Irha, pouting slightly, held up the newspaper. "Can you tell me where this place is?" she asked, her eyes filled with hope and eagerness.

Jimin glanced at the ad and, after a brief sigh, pointed out the location. "It's here," he said,

Jungkook came downstairs, fully dressed and ready for the day. Just as he reached the bottom of the stairs, his phone rang. He answered the call while Jimin watched him curiously from a distance. After a brief conversation, Jungkook hung up and turned to Jimin.

"Hyung, that was Mr. Min," Jungkook said, his expression a mix of curiosity and slight concern. "He wants us to join him for dinner tonight."

"What?" Jimin replied, raising an eyebrow in surprise.

"Yeah, you remember last night when they won the game? I think he's throwing a party to celebrate," Jungkook explained, a hint of reluctance in his voice.

Jimin shook his head, a sigh escaping his lips. "Tell him we can't make it. We have guests with us."

Jungkook nodded, but then hesitated. "I told him that, but he said we can bring the guests along."

Irha and Dua, who had been quietly listening to their conversation, exchanged glances. Jimin turned to Dua, his expression softening. "Would you two like to come with us tonight?" he asked.

Dua looked at Irha for a moment before shaking her head. "No, no, you guys go ahead. We'll be fine here," she said, trying to sound reassuring.

Jimin, however, looked concerned. "We can't leave you alone here at night. Jungkook, tell Mr. Min we won't be able to make it."

Dua, sensing Jimin's determination, sighed and smiled. "Alright, we'll come with you."

"Great, thanks!" Jimin said, relief washing over his face.

Jungkook glanced at his watch and nudged Jimin. "Come on, hyung, we'll be late," he urged.

Jimin nodded and turned back to Dua and Irha. "Be ready by evening. We'll pick you both up on our way," he said with a warm smile.

Dua nodded. "Okay," she replied.

With that, Jimin and Jungkook left,

Evening had fallen, and Irha was frantically pacing around the house, her voice echoing through every corner. "Oh my God, calm down!" Dua exclaimed, trying to soothe her.

"What am I supposed to do?" Irha cried out in exasperation. "What should I wear? And now, it's getting cold too!"

Dua, trying to keep her patience, replied, "Didn't you bring any winter clothes with you?"

"No, I didn't," Irha confessed, her voice tinged with worry. "Mom gave me money and told me to buy them when I got here, but I never did."

Dua, ever the problem solver, said, "It's okay. You can take whatever you like from my wardrobe."

Relief washed over Irha as she said, "Thank you so much, Dua!"

With a teasing smile, Dua responded, "Oh, I do these favors all the time," and both of them burst into laughter, the tension finally breaking.

Dua and Irha both changed their clothes and began getting ready.

Dua, with a hint of worry in her voice, said, "I hope this isn't too much. What if we stand out too much from everyone else?"

Irha, seeing the concern in Dua's eyes, replied reassuringly, "No, don't worry. Didn't you notice when we came from the hospital to here? Almost everyone was dressed like this. We look just fine."

Dua sighed, still a bit unsure but finding comfort in Irha's words. Irha gave her a warm smile, trying to ease her friend's anxiety. "Trust me," she said softly, "we look great. Everything will be alright."

(Irha's proper look)

(Dua's proper look)

They both looked at themselves in the mirror one last time. Irha and Dua said in unison, "You look so beautiful!" Then, they turned to each other and burst into laughter.

Checking the time, they wondered aloud, "I wonder what time they will arrive?" Dua, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement, said, "This is the first time we're going out since we came here. I'm really anxious."

Irha, trying to calm her friend's nerves, said, "Hey, relax! I'm here with you, aren't I? I'm feeling so excited!" Teasingly, she added, "Who knows how many handsome guys will be there?"

Dua playfully retorted, "I'll slap you if you think about that!" Irha couldn't help but laugh.

Jimin and Jungkook arrived home. Jimin turned to Jungkook and said, "I'll turn the car around. You go inside and get them." Jungkook nodded, "Okay, I'll get them."

Jungkook went inside and called out, "Irha! Dua!" Irha came down the stairs. Jungkook saw her and asked, "Are you ready?" Irha replied, "Yes." Jungkook said, "Let's go." Irha responded, "Dua is just coming." Jungkook nodded, "Alright."

Jungkook then remembered, "Oh, my stuff is inside. I'll go get it." He went downstairs to get his things. Meanwhile, Dua came down and asked, "What happened? Where is everyone?" Irha quickly said, "Hurry up, let's go! There's a ghost outside and Jungkook is getting his things." She grabbed Dua's hand and pulled her forward.

Suddenly, Dua's foot got stuck in something. She exclaimed, "Wait a minute!" She placed her phone on the sofa and fixed her heel. Irha urged, "Hurry up!" and they both rushed outside.

Jungkook, carrying his stuff, came out and called, "Irha! Dua!" He realized they had already gone outside. Irha and Dua stepped out, and Dua suddenly remembered, "Oh no, I left my phone inside!" She turned to Irha and said, "You go sit in the car, I'll get my phone." Irha nodded, "Okay," and walked towards the car.

Jimin saw Irha coming. It was a bit dark, but as she stepped into the light, Jimin couldn't take his eyes off her. For the first time, Irha looked so beautiful to him. Her dark hair and fair skin seemed to glow under the lights. Jimin was mesmerized and couldn't tear his gaze away.

Irha opened the car door, snapping Jimin out of his daze as she slipped inside. The spell broken, Jimin shook his head to clear his thoughts. At the same time, Dua opened the other door, only to have her heel twist again. Frustrated, she crouched down to fix it, unaware of Jungkook approaching from the front.

Jungkook stopped in his tracks when he saw Dua. For a moment, words failed him. Dua looked up, her expression exasperated. "I don't know what's wrong with this heel," she said, more to herself than to anyone else.

Jungkook, still holding her phone, extended it towards her. She noticed and exclaimed, "Oh, thank you! I came back for this. Thanks, Jungkook." His silence stretched, a myriad of unspoken emotions flickering in his eyes.

Noticing his unusual quietness, Dua asked softly, "Is something wrong?" Her question seemed to pull Jungkook out of his reverie. He quickly shook his head and said, "No, nothing. Let's go, it's getting late."

Dua nodded, "Okay," and turned to head towards the car. Jungkook followed closely, his gaze fixed on her. As he watched her walk ahead, a gentle smile formed on his lips, a silent acknowledgment of the feelings stirring within him.

Dua climbed into the car, and Jungkook took his place...

Jimin started the car, and within moments, they arrived at the party. As they stepped out of the car, Irha and Dua were struck by the sight before them. It was a breathtakingly beautiful and royal hotel, adorned with golden lights that sparkled like stars.

"Come with me," Jimin said, his voice full of excitement. Irha and Dua exchanged glances, their hearts pounding with a mix of anticipation and nervousness. They held each other's hands tightly,

They walked inside, and as soon as they entered, all eyes turned towards them. Irha and Dua were the only girls in full dresses, looking absolutely stunning. The crowd couldn't help but gaze at them in admiration.

Mr. Min noticed them and approached. He looked very wise and handsome. He hugged Jimin and Jungkook warmly, and Irha and Dua greeted him with a polite "Hello."

"Hello," Mr. Min replied, then turned to Jimin and Jungkook, asking, "Are they with you?"

"Yes," Jungkook answered, "These are the guests I mentioned to you."

"Ah, I see," Mr. Min said, nodding. "You both look so beautiful," he added, his gaze filled with genuine admiration.

Irha and Dua blushed, replying softly, "Thank you."

Mr. Min smiled warmly and said, "Enjoy yourselves, I'll be back soon." With a polite "Excuse me," he walked away.

Jimin turned to Irha and Dua, "Okay, now let me introduce you to some of my other friends."

Irha and Dua followed closely behind him and Jungkook, their curiosity piqued. They approached a lively group of people, where one guy stood with his back to them, holding a drink.

Jimin mischievously tapped him on the back. The guy let out a startled yelp and turned around without looking, instinctively throwing his arm around Jimin's neck and pulling him into a playful headlock.

"Jimin, no one else would dare to do this," he laughed, not needing to see who it was.

"Okay, okay, I get it now. Let me go," Jimin laughed.

"Not so fast. You have to ask nicely first," the guy teased.

"Come on, my brother, please let me go," Jimin pleaded with a grin.

With a smirk, the guy released Jimin and straightened up, fixing his clothes. Suddenly, he noticed Irha and Dua standing there with Jungkook, all watching him. He froze, standing awkwardly still.

Jimin burst into laughter, "These are our friends from India."

The guy, still looking a bit flustered, turned to Irha and Dua. "Nice to meet you. I'm V," he said, extending his hand towards Irha. His voice trembled slightly with nervousness.

( V )

Irha reached out to V with a warm smile and said, "Hello, I'm Irha. Nice to meet you."

V, feeling more at ease, then extended his hand towards Dua. She took it with a friendly smile and replied, "Hello, I'm Dua. Nice to meet you."

V looked over at Jungkook and smiled. "Come here, my friend!" He pulled him into a warm hug. "How are you?" V asked, his eyes bright with excitement.

"I'm good! How about you?" Jungkook replied, returning the smile.

"Doing well!" V responded enthusiastically. Then he turned to Irha and Dua. "Would you like something to drink? Jungkook, have you treated them yet?"

Jungkook chuckled, "We just arrived, actually."

"Alright, stay right here! I'll get you something," V said, his eagerness palpable. He wrapped his arm around Jungkook's shoulders and urged him forward. "Come on with me!"

Jungkook hesitated for a moment, asking, "What?"

V laughed, "What do you mean, 'what'? Just come on!"

Jimin turned to Irha and Dua, smiling warmly. "We three are really great friends; we've been close for many years."

Dua beamed back, her eyes shining. "Just looking at you both, I could tell! It's wonderful to see such a strong bond."

Just then, more guests arrived, and Jimin took the opportunity to introduce Irha and Dua to everyone. They engaged with everyone gracefully, radiating joy and warmth. The atmosphere was vibrant as Irha and Dua shared laughter and smiles, making everyone feel at ease.

At one point, they found themselves chatting with Jimin and Jungkook's friend's wife. She looked at them with genuine admiration. "You both are so lovely and wise," she said, her tone warm and inviting. "You must come over for dinner sometime!"

Jimin's friend chimed in eagerly, "Yeah, definitely invite them over!"

"Absolutely! We'd love to have you," the wife added with enthusiasm.

Jimin nodded, excitement glimmering in his eyes. "If the opportunity arises, I'll be sure to bring them along."

He felt a wave of gratitude as he took in the connections forming around him. "You all keep talking; I'll be right back," he said,

As Jimin was walking, Jungkook and V called out to him, "Where are you headed, brother?"

Jungkook asked, "Where are Irha and Dua?"

Jimin pointed toward them, smiling. "They're right over there."

Irha and Dua were chatting with everyone, their faces lit up with joy. Jungkook's gaze fell directly on Dua, who was laughing, and in that moment, he felt like he was floating. His heart swelled with happiness as he watched her, a sense of warmth enveloping him. It was as if time stood still, and all he could see was Dua, radiant and full of life.

V chuckled, noticing Jungkook's infatuation. "Looks like they've made quite an impression!"

Jimin nodded, a grin on his face. "Yeah, everyone thinks they're amazing."

Jimin glanced at Jungkook, who was still lost in thought, gazing at Dua. He turned to V and playfully nudged him. "Give this guy a nudge; he's daydreaming."

With a quick motion, V playfully slapped Jungkook on the shoulder. "Hey, what's up?"

Jungkook blinked, momentarily startled. "What's going on?"

Jimin laughed. "That's what I was asking-what's happening with you?"

V chimed in, "It looks like something's bothering him."

Jimin furrowed his brow. "What kind of trouble?"

V pointed out, "Look at him! He's blushing like crazy."

Jungkook grabbed V's ear , shaking his head. "It's nothing!"

V smirked. "Okay, okay, but please let go of my ear!"

Jungkook laughed as V finally released his grip,

Irha and Dua looked towards the three of them and, after excusing themselves, approached and stood by their side. V extended the tray of glasses and said, "Here you go." Both Irha and Dua picked up the glasses. Jungkook said, "Let's go sit at that table. I'm tired of standing, and I'm hungry too."

V teased, "You're always hungry."

They all went and sat at the table. V then asked Dua, "Are you here for some work, or just wandering around? And how did you meet Jimin and Jungkook?"

Irha and Dua glanced at each other. Jimin interrupted, "It's quite a long story. Maybe we can tell you some other time."

V looked at Jimin and said, "Okay."

V chuckled, "Jungkook, you're talking about food." He then glanced at Irha and Dua, concerned about filling his eyes. "You both must be hungry too, right?"

With a sudden spark of energy, he turned to Jimin, "Come on, let's go get some food. I can feel my stomach growling now."

Jimin laughed softly, shaking his head. "Alright, let's go. You've mentioned food so many times now that I'm starting to get hungry too."

V and Jimin stood up and started heading towards the food area. Jimin turned back and saw Jungkook still seated. "Hey, what are you lounging around for? We need to get food for five people. Come on, help me out," he called, his tone a mix of exasperation and urgency.

Jungkook let out a dramatic sigh, rolling his eyes slightly before getting up. With a reluctant expression, he trailed behind them,

As Jungkook walked away, Irha and Dua exchanged glances and immediately burst into giggles. Irha said with a wide grin, "Are all Koreans this quirky? These three are hilarious!"

Dua nodded, laughing, "Yeah, they're not just funny, but so kind-hearted too. Everyone we've met here has been wonderful. No one has ever complimented us this much before."

They laughed together, a shared sense of warmth and joy filling the space between them. Dua's laughter faded into a sigh, "But honestly, I'm starving."

Irha's smile turned sympathetic, "Me too. I hope they don't take too long to get the food."

After a short while, they returned with the food and placed it on the table. Irha and Dua's faces lit up with joy as they saw the meal. Jungkook watched Dua, his heart warming at her happiness, and he broke into a wide smile.

As they all settled into their chairs, Dua exclaimed with excitement, "Finally, I get to eat something good today!"

Irha, Jimin, and Jungkook all turned to look at her. Irha teased, "But you're not going to eat too much, right?"

Dua pouted dramatically, "Oh come on, it's been so long. Let me enjoy this."

Irha shook her head, "Absolutely not. And what do you mean by something good? Jungkook and I have been cooking for you all this time. Didn't you like what we made?"

Dua quickly replied, "No, no, it was good! But noodles are just something else."

V chuckled, "What's going on here?"

Jungkook explained, "Dua had a head injury, so the doctor advised against eating outside food."

Dua interjected passionately, "But that doesn't mean you should treat me like a patient, feeding me only soups and boiled food. Since I've been here, you haven't let me have noodles even once!"

Jungkook sighed, "But the doctor told us not to give them to you."

Dua retorted, "Well, I can have a little. Mr.peculiar,

Jungkook grumbled, "Fine, eat, but stop calling me peculiar."

Dua smiled mischievously, "Stop acting peculiar, and I will."

Jungkook sat quietly, making a straight face, while everyone else burst into laughter at their playful banter.

V laughed, "Did you just call Jungkook 'peculiar'? This is the first time someone has given Jungkook such a cool nickname."

V couldn't stop laughing as he said this. Jungkook, a mix of annoyance and playful defiance, shot back, "Should I give you a nice nickname too?"

V, still chuckling, replied, "No matter how nice the name you give me, it won't beat 'peculiar'." He laughed again.

Jungkook glanced at Dua, who was smiling. Though he was initially annoyed, her smile had a calming effect on him, and his anger dissipated, replaced by a small smile of his own.

Everyone began to eat. Irha, concerned, said to Dua, "Okay, that's enough. How much are you going to eat? This isn't good for you," and she pulled the plates away from Dua just as she was about to take another bite.

"Please, just one last bite," Dua pleaded, her face a picture of mock sadness as she looked at Irha.

Jimin, V, and Jungkook all watched the interaction. Seeing Dua's pleading expression, Jungkook felt an overwhelming urge to bring her all the food in the world. Without thinking, he blurted out, "Give her the last bite, then no more."

Everyone turned to look at him in surprise. Dua smiled gratefully at Jungkook and took the plate back from Irha. "Thank you," she said to Jungkook, who was now staring down at the table, unsure why he had spoken up.

They all continued to eat in silence, the earlier playfulness replaced by a quiet contentment.

As they stood up, Mr. Min approached them with a warm smile. "I hope you didn't face any trouble on your way here?" he asked politely.

"No, not at all," Jimin replied with a friendly nod.

Turning to Dua and Irha, Mr. Min inquired, "How about you two? Everything okay?"

They both shook their heads, smiling. "No issues at all, thank you," Dua responded.

"Great! Let me introduce you to my family," Mr. Min said, gesturing for them to follow. He led them to a cozy, well-decorated living room where his parents and elder brother were seated.

"Hello," Dua and Irha greeted them warmly, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Mr. Min's parents and brother greeted them back with genuine smiles. "These two are from India," Mr. Min explained proudly.

His father, a dignified man with a kind expression, turned to Dua and said, "Next week is my eldest son's wedding. Consider this your invitation-we would love for you both to attend. You must come, even if these two rascals don't," he added with a playful glint in his eye, referring to Jimin and Jungkook.

Hearing themselves called "rascals," Jimin and Jungkook couldn't help but protest, "What do you mean, rascals, Dad? Since when did we become rascals?"

Their father chuckled heartily, "Well, if I hadn't made Suga call you both, you might have forgotten to come today, wouldn't you?"

"Sorry, Dad," Jimin said sheepishly. "I wanted to come, but we had guests with us, and I felt a bit hesitant."

Mr. Min's father frowned slightly. "That's what I don't like," he said, turning towards Dua and Irha. "Tell me, my dear, do you feel hesitant bringing someone into your own home?"

Dua and Irha exchanged glances before looking at Jimin, who sighed and said, "Okay, sorry, Dad. It won't happen again, I promise."

His father's stern expression softened into a smile. "Alright, then."

The tension broke, and everyone started laughing. Jungkook nudged Jimin playfully. "Jimin hyung, we should get going. We're running late."

Jimin nodded, apologizing to everyone for the hasty exit. They said their goodbyes, exchanged final smiles and handshakes, and headed out the door.

As they stepped outside, Dua remarked, "Everyone here is so nice. Mr. Min, his family, and even your other friends."

"Thank you," Jimin responded with a smile.

Irha chimed in teasingly, "She's not complimenting you, she's talking about them."

Jimin laughed, "But they are my friends."

Irha gave him a playful yet pointed look. "Yeah, but you're not like them."

Jimin smirked, "What would a witch like you know about human matters?"

Irha retorted, "I won't let you get away with that!"

Dua intervened gently, "Calm down, Irha."

Jimin opened the car door and got inside, starting to turn the vehicle around. Jungkook, Dua, and Irha stood outside, chatting, when suddenly V came running towards them, shouting from a distance, "Jungkook! Jungkook!"

As V approached, Jungkook looked at him, puzzled. "What's with all the shouting like a wild animal?"

V playfully smacked Jungkook on the head. "I'm here to help, and you're calling me an animal?"

He turned to Dua, handing her a phone. "This is yours, right?"

Dua quickly checked her pockets, realizing her phone was missing. "Oh, thank you so much!"

V nodded, "I saw it in your hand earlier and figured it must be yours."

Jungkook couldn't help but tease, "You almost left your phone at home too?"

Dua sighed, "I don't know what's wrong with me today. I'm forgetting everything."

Jungkook turned to V, "Thanks a lot, man."

V smirked, "Hearing gratitude from you sounds weird. Don't bother."

Jungkook laughed, "Come over for lunch tomorrow."

V grinned, "Why not? Tomorrow's Sunday, after all."

"Exactly why I'm inviting you," Jungkook replied.

By then, Jimin had turned the car around and spotted V. "Hey, V! What are you doing here?"

V laughed, "Look who's finally here. Just a little errand."

Jimin smiled, "Why do you keep running around?"

V chuckled, "I'll explain tomorrow. It's a bit too complex for a kid like you to understand quickly."

Jimin laughed, "I might just get out of this car and chase you!"

V grinned, "Alright, bye for now!" and took off running.

Everyone laughed as they got into the car. As they drove off, Jimin asked Jungkook, "What was he talking about?"

Jungkook shrugged, "He said he'd explain tomorrow. Guess we'll find out then."

Jimin smirked, "You wait till we get home, then I'll tell you."

Jungkook laughed, "Alright, alright. By the way, Dua almost forgot her phone again. V came to return it."

Jimin shook his head with a smile, "That guy...

They finally made it back home. As soon as they stepped inside, Jungkook turned on all the lights, flooding the house with a comforting glow. They all sank into the sofa, exhausted but relieved. Dua slipped off her heels with a wince and said, "These heels have been such a nightmare today. My feet kept twisting because of them."

Irha chuckled and teased, "And yet you still wear them!"

Dua sighed, "What choice did I have? There weren't any other options."

Jimin looked at her with concern, "Is it really that bad?"

Dua shook her head, trying to downplay it, "No, it's just a little uncomfortable."

Jimin frowned, "You weren't feeling well to begin with. We shouldn't have made you go through this."

Dua quickly reassured them, "No, no, I actually had a great time going out. Don't worry about me."

Jungkook, who had been quietly observing her,

Jimin said " it's late, let's get some rest."

Dua and Irha both nodded, "Alright, good night."

Jimin and Jungkook echoed, "Good night," and everyone headed to their rooms, ready to finally get some much-needed sleep.....
