Chapter 6: 6 Cave
"It was easier than expected, " Leo exclaimed; it had been two days since he set up his clan, unaware of the consequences of the sudden appearance of a Silver-II Clan in the Hog Mountains and Goblin Forests.
And Leo had set his Town Hall in upgrade once again. It took two days for it to be completed, and it is now level 4.
(I know some people might find system prompts annoying but bear with it for some chapters I find it easier to dump new things via this)
[Congratulations on upgrading Town Hall 4!

"Oh, I forgot that Builder Base unlocked at this stage." Leo then got a sudden epiphany: "Where will find a boat? And where is the sea or ocean?"
Truth be told, Leo didn't want to go on a voyage when the Bandits would attack the village in ten days, and he had no idea how long it would take for him to locate it; there was also the fact he had no idea how to sail a boat.
His train of thought halted when-
"Leo there is a cave that appeared out of nowhere in the mountains near the Army Camp!" Venelana informed him, sounding a little panicked; this got Leo's attention as he asked her to show the way.
(Mountains near Army Camp)
Most of the troops were now assembled in front of the mouth of the cave that appeared out of nowhere in the mountains, E.Archers had drawn their arrows E.Barbarians were ready to hack any threat that came out of the cave while Berserkers were on the hunt with Atlas (Giant) so we don't get to see their reaction.
Leo wasn't worried about them because he had a guess what this cave was for.
However, he didn't ask the troops to relax because there might be some surprises.
The cave appeared unnatural and natural at the same time; it had a large amount of magicule concentration there, so much that Leo would have felt pressured if he was any weaker.
Leo could feel the space was similar to the spell [Void]. Though the attraction force was almost negligible, it was there; there were also some spatial fluctuations as if the cave's entrance were a portal to a different world.
"Everyone stay here, I will go and check." He ordered everyone.
"Yes, Chief/Leo." This was a good thing that they didn't try to stop him as they believed their Chief could handle any threat, though it would need to be changed; otherwise, Leo would suffer from success.
Leo stepped inside the cave, and he felt he had been taken to another world; it was beautiful, magically, with glowing vines, water that didn't appear normal, and much more, and it only became beautiful as he walked inside.
It had an unnatural blue glow though Leo wouldn't be able to see clearly if not for his race was 'superior' to others and had [Magic Sense: Passive], another reason he didn't bring anyone with him.
Though it wasn't as smooth as he encountered several beasts that were B-rank, he had to be careful not to use much force lest the cave collapse.
He jumped on the giant armored lizard that was looking for a moment to catch him off guard, he was testing his physical strength here, and *crunch a sickening sound was heard as the lizard's scales broke under the force of a punch it tried to swat Leo with its tail but failed as dodged it and punched it on the skull, while the force was considerable it failed to go past the scales of the lizard this time.
The lizard tried to bite Leo's head off but failed as Leo jumped kicking on its mouth.
Suddenly, the lizard growled, and Leo had a bad feeling and *Fusshhh, a green poisonous substance was thrown at him. Fortunately, Leo managed to get away from its path, but some of it reached him.
"Argh! Damn, I hoped I had something like pain resistance." This showed Leo's inexperience as the beasts outside were weak or didn't have special abilities, not to mention the different environment. He could have one-shot the lizard with any of his epic or rare spells, but it wasn't something Leo wanted.
His shirt was damaged by the acidic substance, and his flesh also was damaged, but it wasn't much, and the wounds were healing at a visible speed, thanks to his Self-Regeneration.
The lizard attacked him with claws that had poison that could paralyze its prey, but Leo held its limb, catching it off-guard as he slammed it on the group.
*Bam
"Aah, now I realize why Hulk does this," Leo said while cracking his neck and holding the lizard by its tail and creating a similar scene from the movie.
However, the lizard wasn't as lucky as Loki and died after a few hits.
*Crack. Some stones started falling from the ceiling as he realized he had gone overboard and decided to go deeper and dispatch any new monster with spells like the Descent Of Arrows.
*Swish, a giant ass arrow in the head, and dead was the fate of any other monster trying to attack him, and after some time, no monster attacked him.
Leo found a lot of weird things on his walk.
Giant roots came out of the ground, which gave Leo a familiar yet unfamiliar feeling. They were glowing cyan color, and they carried something familiar inside them, but Leo left them for now.
There were several rare plants, about whom Leo had no idea, but he knew they were precious, so he remembered their locations, intending to use them later.
The magic increased the deeper he walked and then heard "Can you hear me litt*Cough the wrong scene ;-)
Then he heard "Zzz..." Echoing inside the cave, he then walked toward the direction from where the sounds came, and then he reached outside of the cave, seeing a huge underground place with a few dilapidated buildings. The largest building the sounds were coming from probably due to how quiet the whole place was.
Several obstacles were growing in the place due to long inactivity, he saw the iconic Old Barbarian Statue and the growing tall grass around it, a broken Battle Machine with a broken Battle Copter, a half-destroyed clock tower, and *thump Leo's heart skipped a beat (pun intended) as he saw her one of the most beautiful things ever created by Devs, the Gem Mine, unfortunately, it was broken.
He was about to run and look into it for gems, but he was stopped by a powerful and aged voice. "Huh?! Oh, visitor! Hooray!" Which is unusually cheerful.
Leo turned to look at the man who interrupted his Gemnomantic moment to see a middle-aged man with peach skin, brown eyebrows, and a brown beard.
He wore a blue leather cap as well as red and brown overalls with brown shoes and a belt with a yellow buckle.
He looked like a jolly grandpa who would give sweets and tell stories about his days in the army.
Leo was speechless at this guy's (grandpa?) Cheerfulness pointed towards himself and asked "Visitor?"
"My place! You will completely CLEAN it! If you will, you will TOTALLY earn yourself a tour." The old man requested... Ordered?
"Who are you? Do you know me?" Leo asked like a young master.
"I'm the GREAT Master Builder. Wanna see my favorite building? It gives troops special abilities! And you are a visitor." He said with an excited smile. Leo felt he wouldn't have to clean the place, so he agreed, "Yes, show me."
"Then CLEAN, it." He said and walked away with a hand on his back, muttering something.
Leo "..."
After 2 hours.
He looked at the newly repaired Star Laboratory while he was helping (note: cleaning) the master builder in the builder base; the man was repairing the broken buildings except the most useful ones.
"Why don't you repair the Gem Mine first?" Leo grumbled,
"Because I don't have materials for it." Replied the master builder.
(I am going by the old version of the builder base mixed with the 2.0 version.)
But anyway, he was still curious about what the master builder said about giving troops special abilities with the help of Star Laboratory; maybe with his help, he could progress in his home village's laboratory that was just gathering dust.
"Gran, you can call me Gran." Said the mast- Gran.
"Leo Godblood, you can call me Leo." Leo introduced himself, "Chief, it is then." Gran ignored him.
"Wait! Why are you calling me chief, isn't this your place?" It wasn't a game where any place he unlocked would become his, so Leo didn't understand.
Gran looked at Leo as if he was an idiot before sighing as he gestured towards the whole area and said, "This place is in shambles, and I promised myself whoever entered this place, I would give its ownership to him."
Leo didn't look convinced as he asked "So you would have given it anyone?"
Gran shook his head "Nah! There are many stages for you to qualify it, and since you reached here, alive aside from your exhibitionist fetish, everything is fine." He replied looking irritated.
"Ah, it is because I got caught off-guard by the Cave Lizard and my shirt was ruined." Leo awkwardly said, realizing he was walking half-naked the whole time, though it was due to his high-level physique that he didn't feel uncomfortable and forgot.
Gran didn't look convinced. "Okay, come to Builder Hall. I will get you something to wear." And they went inside the Builder Hall which was next to the Star Lab.
(Builder Hall)
"Nah, not this, nor this, nope. Yeah!." Finally, after rummaging through his wardrobe, Gran emerged with an expensive-looking robe that looked like it belonged to some noble; initially, Leo was skeptical that the clothes would fit him or suit his tastes for obvious reasons, but when he tried it, "This is unexpectedly comfortable." He felt they were even better than the clothes that he bought from the system store.
But Gran had started going out so Leo followed him to the Star Lab. Entering it, Gran made a grandstand with the smuggest smile and said, "Do you know how this babe gives all those troops special abilities without side effects?" While Leo had theories he wanted to learn about how the troops got special abilities, so he shook his head.
The old man nodded as if expected and then began, "You know about the Barbarian King, right?" He asked.
'I don't know much about him apart from the game,' he thought, then he replied, "A little bit."
"That is fine, I will tell you. The Barbarian King is one of the strongest beings in the Clash Continent, he is a Monarch-level powerhouse, and you know the reason behind it?" He didn't wait for my answer as he continued.
"Not many people know about it but I will tell you. Thor (the Barbarian King) has been there since the creation of Clash Continent; he had an innate connection with the dark elixir, which is capable of killing any other being with contact with some exceptions; with the help, he was able to awaken his special abilities or skills you can say." He took a deep breath,
"His monstrous strength increased to another level that he was able to cause earthquakes when he wasn't able to control his strength, he tamed the Rage being able to increase his strength instantly by a large amount without losing sanity along with strengthening all those with weaker strength than him, at that state magical/ energy around him is so much that it is capable of creating Barbarians with his blood and Elixir." Gran finished as if he hadn't told Leo about Clash World's version of Milim Nava.
'What the fuck? How did the people of Cardinal World remain unaware of someone like this?' Leo was confused about another matter, yes, he was shocked by the Barbarian King's power, but he focused on the part that Elixir and its variants played in the rise of the Barbarian King.
He decided he would ask Gran about Cardinal World later, as only a few people knew about Cardinal W,orl,d according to his father, and vice-versa, though he didn't know how much.
"You would be probably thinking why I am telling you this." Master Builder took Leo out of his thoughts and continued his lecture "It is because I have found a way to do the same with a LOT WEAKER effects, while he didn't hold the candle to Barbarian King's ability it gave Barbarians capability to draw the power of rage from their veins like how Super Barbarians can though it is overall weaker than it but MUCH better than the normal Barbarians." He finished.
But "You didn't tell me how you did that." Leo pointed out, and Gran facepalmed, looking embarrassed. "O-oh, my bad, I forgot you must be old age catching up."
He then took Leo to a part of the lab where capsules were that would fit a human inside; there were several items that he didn't recognize Gran took a vial in his that had crystalline purple liquid his eyes almost similar to a mad scientist as he dramatically said: "Behold this is one of the most revolutionary things ever being created, the Builder Elixir."
"..."
.
.
.
"Does this make buildings or what?" Leo could not help but ask with a deadpan.
"Naye, chief," Gran tutted "This thing gives troops special abilities." That got Leo's attention, and he asked, "How? Do they drink or inject it?"
The builder strokes his beard and says "While direct consumption is possible, for better effects it is suggested to inject it inside the troops with the help of these capsules he gestured towards them and said, "It stimulates the power of lineages inside troops giving them abilities for some duration in periods normally for Barbarians it is 10 seconds in every 4 hours giving them 30-40% increase in strength."
"What is the catch? Surely it can't be that powerful; no way the other powers would leave something like that out." Leo said in confusion.
"You are right, chief, it only works best on most basic evolution of troops using it on higher evolution will damage their potential and the troops would have to inject this regularly if they want to maintain their abilities don't worry it is not addictive thanks to Elixir's magical effects and it can be improved with further research and troop's training."
"Also, the other powers don't know about it except for the Grand Warden, but he is a good friend of mine, so you don't have to worry. He was the one who helped me develop this miracle, after all." He revealed.
Hearing this, Leo could not help but think, "Grand Warden here is a very influential and powerful figure, and he is Gran's friend.' Gran is not the simple individual Leo had guessed at the start but this is on another level.
"Then why didn't you go to Grand Valley of Spells and Magic you could have lived a luxurious life there with your skills," Leo asked.
"Luxury is something I don't need and my creator has ordered me to stay here and wait for someone worthy, so I waited I have found you worthy so I decided to serve you," Gran replied though Leo didn't believe it since he could not sense any bad intention from the dwarf so he didn't say anything.
The next few hours were spent arranging the builder base there was no need for defenses as the place was underground and had a natural defense but for further safety Leo and Gran decided to set traps that would keep any unwanted visitor to the backyard and would also alert them, they would set up defenses but that was a thing for future.
Later, when he was about to exit the base, Gran gave him a token named Builder's Key that had a hammer and a boat on it, and on touching it, he received a notification.
[New land has been captured - Cave of the Forgotten and Builder Base.
Quest: Find the hidden land completed.
Rewards: 10 Raged Barbarians (Perfect), 10 Sneaky Archers (Perfect), 10,000 Gold, and access to the other side of the Builder Base.]
And the quest rewards were cream on the top.
At first he thought, but seeing the boat symbol and the words in the notification reminded him about the ocean so he asked Gran about him, who agreed with him and told follow him.
The walked inside the cave and thankfully no monsters attacked them. Then they stopped near an unsuspecting wall and Gran asked Leo to take out the token and then asked him infuse his magic inside it and then asked me to touch the wall with it.
Runes started appearing on the wall and then the wall started to shift it wasn't a simple feat Leo could feel some spatial fluctuations like earlier.
The hidden door opened leading them to outside world, it was completely different from any of the surrounding area as what greeted them was beach like area contrast to the surrounding forests and mountains.
There was even a dock there with a boat!
"What is this place?" Leo asked a little stunned from the previous display of spatial magic.
"This is a secret place that only few people know and it the only place that you could use to go to the Magic Continent other than spatial magic and air transport.
'Holy shit!'
~~~~~~
Choose the Boat (I know at the end I will have to)
-Black Pearl
-Thousand Sunny
-(Suggestions?)
I know that Barbarian King (Monarch) may sound OP and he is but he nowhere near Milim atleast not now his abilities are at Unique skill level due to the Barrier that separates Clash Continent/World from rest of the Cardinal/ Central world.
Though the Barbarian Kind would be able to take on 'weaker' demon lords like Carrion or Clayman easily, Frey would have been in this list but I decided flying Barbarian King will be a nightmare atleast for now.
Barbarian King would be able to beat Luminous with some difficulty but he will win.
This shows that the Clash Continent isn't that weakas Leo thought but it isn't that strong either to survive attacks from the true monsters when the Barrier is restricting their strength.
ALSO- The key figures of Cardinal World knows about Clash Continent but they think it is some sort of forbidden land due to the Barrier and even Unique skills stop working or have some trouble working around it and Ultimate Skills are also heavily restricted there.
