Chapter 5: 5 Clans

(This Chapter is an info dump but it gives us a glimpse of Clash World and its countries)

(One week later)

After assessing the strength of his army, Leo felt a rare surge of confidence. With his upgraded troops—Elite Barbarians, Iron Knights, Berserkers, and the Great Giant Atlas—he believed the upcoming raid wouldn't be as much of a challenge. Even if the Goblins pulled off an evolution to something like a Goblin Giant or a Goblin Lord, he was sure his forces could handle it.

"Everything should be fine… right?" Leo muttered, but the nagging sense of unease wouldn't leave him.

"But why do I still have this bad feeling?" he thought. Then, a thought struck him, and he groaned, slapping his forehead. "I shouldn't get overconfident. I don't know a thing about real-life warfare tactics! If only I had support like the Cla—"

He stopped mid-sentence, his eyes widening in realization. Quickly, he opened the [Clan] menu in his system. He felt revealed when the status revealed that he needed to visit the Clan Castle to activate its features.

The Clan Castle

Fortunately, the construction of the Clan Castle had just been completed a few minutes ago. Normally, a building of this scale would take months to construct. However, with the help of boosts and the liberal use of builder potions, the process was drastically shortened to just one week.

The first two days saw most of the foundational work completed with the boost, and the remaining construction was expedited with the stackable effects of builder potions. By working day and night, alongside the support of his troops, the massive structure was finally finished.

Standing behind the Town Hall, the Clan Castle towered magnificently over the surrounding area. It exuded an air of authority, with its stone walls, towering spires, and a grand entrance marked by intricate carvings of shields and swords. It took Leo just a two-minute walk to reach it.

Unlike the Town Hall, the Clan Castle was not a common structure for smaller settlements. Only major towns and cities had the resources and prestige to build one, and they were crucial for more than just looks.

In this world, Clans functioned as councils of power. Being part of a Clan signified a settlement's allegiance, granting both political protection and access to strategic military resources. More importantly, the Clan Castle allowed armies to be transferred between locations, depending on the capacity and level of the castle.

Leo stood in awe before the imposing structure, feeling a sense of anticipation and trepidation.

"Time to see what this thing can really do," he muttered, placing his hand on the smooth stone door. It glowed faintly, the system interface materializing before his eyes.

[Clan Castle]

The notification sent a ripple of energy through the air, and for a brief moment, Leo felt the weight of a thousand untapped possibilities pressing down on him. This wasn't just a building...it was the heart of what could one day be an empire.

"…Alright," Leo exhaled, steeling himself. "Let's see what this Clan thing has to offer."

Recalling the importance of the Clans from the basic knowledge.

The Royal Empire of Blue and Red was a land of perpetual rivalry, symbolized by its two dominant Clans: Red and Blue. These Clans divided the Empire, with every town and city under their rule housing a Clan Castle marked by the emblem of their respective faction. The same system extended across the entirety of the Clash Continent, where each Kingdom and Empire managed its own Clans to exert control and maintain alliances.

However, independent Clans were also a rising force. These minor Clans, formed by adventurers, merchants, or influential individuals, operated outside the traditional power structures. The Adventurers' Clan, functioning similarly to a guild, was the largest independent Clan. The Merchants' Guild, another powerful entity, managed trade and economy across borders.

Leo had poured considerable resources into constructing his Clan Castle, opting to make it as advanced as possible. While it was a hefty expenditure, he knew the payoff would be monumental.

Resources spent on Clan Castle-

10,000 Gold (produced at a rate of 50 per day by his mines)

10,000 Elixir (produced at 30 per day by his collectors)

450 Dark Elixir (rare resource from side quests and battles)

100 Soul Elixir (a mystical resource earned through significant feats)

600 Gems (acquired from side quests and clearing obstacles)

The Clan Castle, equal in size to the Town Hall, stood behind it at a strategic distance. Leo ensured ample space for future expansion and the construction of other critical structures. Functioning as both a Guild House and Embassy, it promised to be the hub of his operations, capable of hosting vital meetings and managing reinforcements.

When Leo entered the Clan Castle, he was greeted by the grandeur of its main office. The centerpiece was a golden lectern, holding an enchanted book that seemed to pulse with power. Intrigued, Leo approached and opened it.

Ding!

[New Feature Detected! Would you like to explore it?]

With a nod, Leo accepted the prompt. The book disintegrated into a glowing golden-purple mist, which swirled around him before entering his head. Though he felt no discomfort, the sensation was uncanny.

"For the sake of visuals, huh," Leo muttered as the system interface opened to reveal the new Clan Castle Feature.

Leo's jaw dropped as he scrolled through the features.

"This… this is insane!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement. "I can organize a network, hold secret meetings, even teleport reinforcements across the continent! And… an arena? Oh, this is going to be fun."

He glanced out of the castle's large windows, his mind already planning the next steps. This wasn't just a Clan Castle—it was the foundation for something far bigger. The possibilities were endless, and Leo knew he was just getting started.

"Another power-up," he said to himself, nodding in approval. "But this one benefits the whole village and my allies, not just me.I will check out those rewards."

He opened the [Clan Rewards] section, and a golden notification greeted him.

[Clan Rewards]

[Join a Clan or Form One to Receive Monthly Bonuses and Special Rewards!]

Leo smirked. "Already ahead of the game." Feeling a wave of nostalgia, he moved to browse the [Available Clans], hoping to find something interesting.

Clash Continent Clans:

1. [Red-Blue Clan (Royal Empire of Blue and Red)]

Rank: Titan III

Eligibility: Not eligible

"Not like I wanted to join them anyway," Leo muttered, scrolling down.

2. [Barbarians of Ragnarok (Ragnarok Empire)]

Rank: Titan I

Eligibility: Full & Not eligible

His curiosity piqued. "So, the Barbarian King really has his own clan. I wonder if he's married to the Archer Queen (he is not), or was that just our imagination back in the game? Didn't expect the Barbarian family to be stronger than the royal family, though."

3. [Moon City (Kingdom of the Moon)]

Rank: Platinum II

Eligibility: Only women allowed

Leo raised an eyebrow. "Ehh...?"

4. [The Mountain King (Hog Mountains)]

Rank: Silver I

Eligibility: Eligible

"Even the Mountain Bandits have a clan, and they're almost at Gold rank," Leo muttered. "That's… concerning. The mountains aren't too far from here."

5. [Green's Gold (Goblin Forest)]

Rank: Gold II

Eligibility: Closed

Leo frowned. "Even the goblins have a high-ranking clan? That's bad news. Why are they closed, though? If I could join, I'd teleport there and drop a fire tornado on them."

6. [The Survivors (Forbidden Forest)]

Rank: Bronze II

Eligibility: Open to all

Leo sighed. "Pass."

He shook his head and closed the list. "I'll just make my own clan. The Adventurer's Guild isn't an option unless I travel to the Royal Capital, 'Violet.' Besides, my village deserves its own identity."

He navigated to [Clan Creation], a prompt lighting up his screen.

Leo grinned "Silver II right out of the gate? As expected of me!" He preened for a moment before a thought struck him.

"But… did I just paint a massive target on my back?"

~~~~~~
(Hog Mountains -???)
A woman with an eye patch like a pirate another eye green as gems, and her white hair tied in a ponytail is a scene sharpening her knife as she is interrupted by a similar-looking girl but she appears younger and has a mask covering her upper part of the face, she looks at the girl with annoyance but she refrains from lashing on her "Speak." She commanded in a no-nonsense tone as the girl straightened.
"There is some new Clan called "Monarch's Nest," and its location is showing Hog Mountains and Goblin Forests-" Confusion was present in her voice, but she was interrupted by the woman. "And?" Irritation was present in her voice. Before the girl could speak, she continued, "There are a lot of Clans popping here and there, and it is even more common nowadays in this area for Grand Warden's dry stick from the time that Clown showed up."
Her voice sounds frustrated, but she isn't finished as she glares at the younger girl. "So why are you reporting this to me? Was it because of that arrogant name like that clown or what!" Her question sounds like an order or it was one.
"Ii-it is an S-silver II Clan." The girl says with nervousness
The Woman's eyes widen in disbelief before she scoffs, "This is not time to joke, Mira."
Now identified as Mira, the girl replies with nervousness, "It is not a joke."
"Show me then," The Older woman started walking towards the main castle area where a wooden lectern was compared to Leo's CC this barely qualified as one, she then looked at the Clans near the Hog Mountains-
[Monarch's Nest - Silver II - Forbidden Forest - Invite Only]
Confirming with their own eyes, the woman sat on the chair inside the room with a pensive expression. After a few moments, she instructed Mira, "Bring Daiki, Terry, and Kanade."
"Kanade too? Kira-sama" The younger girl asks with doubt.
The woman, now identified as Kira, raises an eyebrow. "Do I need to repeat?"
"N-no" Then Mira goes away.
"You don't need to be hard on your sister, do you?" A cold voice asks from behind as a figure appears from the shadows.
"Shut up," Kira says, rubbing her forehead as she mumbles in a barely audible voice, "I am doing this for her good."
"I also thought the same when I did 'that'." The female voice responds with regret and pain, "It wasn't your fault that you didn't know that bastard could use it."
The unknown woman chose her right to remain silent as the four people entered the room, "So, have we found a way to break past the illusion of those "Survivors" or it has to do something with the Goblins." A dark-skinned man with a flaming red mohawk and beard says, gripping his red-black Warhammer that shined occasionally, showing that it is not an ordinary hammer.
"*Crunch, is it *crunch true *m,unch chief?" A Giant woman asks, eating apples that appear to be as large as her head. Her eyes are covered with her bangs, and she appears to she will fall asleep while eating.
Kira could feel her cold companion snickering at her as she said "No, Terry and Daiki, it is another Clan or village that has risen and they are powerful if the rank is correct, your job is to look for the area near *[1]Forbidden Forest (Area between Hog Mountains and Goblin Forest), if you find even the barest clue about them inform me about it. Be careful; these people have risen out of nowhere, so they must be powerful."
She warns them, drawing a confused glance from the trio. After discussing other matters, Terry, Daiki, and Mira go to perform their tasks as Kira stops Kanade, who looks at her warily, "So do you know anything about this Monarch's Nest Kanade?" Kira asks in suspicion; Kanade scoffs, "I don't know anything about it; maybe it is some arrogant guy who got transmigrated here with some good power, who knows."
Her voice turned mocking at the end.
Kira smirks as she taunts, "Like you? Huh, the Great Chief of what was the name Arrow- something like that."
Kanade grits her teeth as her eyes start glowing as she glares at her 'leader' "I am going to get you someday."
"I would like to see that day if it comes, ever." She says in amusement, "But for now, I have a task for you." She suddenly becomes serious Kanade also grudgingly listens
"The clown's movement has become more frequent. I don't know where he goes, but he is no good news, and I think he has gone to the Goblin Lord with the same deal as us or a better one; I want you to watch on the Goblin's territory and if possible get information what Goblin Lord is doing."
Kanade furrows her brows, but she gives a nod and vanishes; seeing her vanish, the cold voice is heard again. "Stealth sure is a handy ability; don't you fear that she will run away?"
"She won't; after all, I am her and her people's savior; her pride is also a matter," Kira says knowingly.
"I still can't believe this is possible." The unknown girl says.
"Anything is possible. Can't you guys be able to change reality?" She says.
"..." The silence continues.
~~~~~~~~~

(???)

"So, what is your response? My Lord." A clown says with a cheerful voice spreading his hands in a golden room.

"I agree, I am the only person suitable for it." A 2-metre tall man with green skin says his voice greedy and arrogant at the same time.

"It is, it is. After all, you are Great Goblin Lord," said the clown. Whether he was mocking him or flattering him wasn't known.

"So give it to me then." The Goblin Lord demanded impatiently.

"Yes, my lord." The clown grinned behind his mask.

~~~~~~~~~~~
(The Survivors)
It was a village in every sense unlike Leo's was a mix of an army camp and a normal village, they were once a thriving village nothing grand but its residents were able to fill their bellies and had satisfied lives one day they were attacked by the Goblins who wanted to use their village as a base to target the Mountain Bandits.
The villagers (these normal humans), for their survival, didn't protest, or rather, they couldn't. Some tried to look for help and succeeded, but who knew this was the plan of those despicable Goblins all along?
A group of villagers encountered some adventurers (who were bandits) and asked for help from the adventurers, who agreed. When they returned to the village, the Goblins ambushed them, causing the adventurers/bandits to think they were together with the Goblins, creating a huge misunderstanding. The bandits escaped.
However, the Goblins were frustrated due to their loss and decided to punish the villagers. Fortunately, God had not abandoned them, and another group of villagers brought help from other villages, the ones they had no idea about. Thankfully, the chiefs of the villages were powerful enough to make the Goblins run for their life, though none escaped.
Later the villages entered an alliance to survive in these dangerous lands.
"So, does anyone have any idea who these guys are?" A stern man asked. He looked like a certain butler who could kill a city in a night so that his young master would sleep peacefully.
"I have no idea, nowadays a lot of things changed I need to step down." Another old man said he eerily looked like Rigurd before he was named, he was the chief of the village that was attacked by Goblins.
"It can be the Goblins, the Bandits, or.." a girl dressed like Delinquent said, stopping at the end as another girl completed her "-someone like us." She was dressed like a priestess and wore round glasses.
The first man "I will look around for these guys." Said leaving no room for argument as he vanished in his own shadow.
"..."
"..."
"I hope it is a handsome guy; I am tired of old men and dramatic women here." The priestess drools thinking about some handsome guy.
The old man who looked like Rigurd, clutched his chest as if having a heart attack hearing her words as the women broke into an argument.
~~~~~~~~

*Achoo

"Did someone get knowledge about my village, or are my friends talking about me," Leo muttered as he exited Clan Castle.

"But anyways, now I have an estimate of how much power my opponents have."

After making the Clan, Leo collected general information about the world and got a gist of how the power system worked in terms of the Clan.

Ranks- Bronze- A developed village that can fend off a B- threat on its own.

Silver- A town or a group of villages that can fend off B+ threats on its own.

Gold- A small city or a city that can fend off low-hazard class threats without much damage.

Platinum- Can fend off a high-hazard class threat. It can be a small country or a large city.

Crystal- Can fend off a low-medium Calamity class threat.

Diamond- Can fend off a high-calamity or a medium disaster class threat.

Titan- Can fend off a high Disaster class or Catastrophe class threat.

Legend- Can fend off more than one True Dragon or Gods attacking them.

"The Bandits are approaching Gold league and the Goblins are already at Gold let's see how they will stand against my army." Strangely Leo felt excited thinking about the battle between the two adversaries.
