A few weeks had passed since Dugu Chen's Martial Soul awakening.

Now, as the sun peeked over the horizon, bathing the Dugu Mansion courtyard in a warm golden glow, Dugu Chen sat cross-legged beneath a large tree. His eyes were closed in deep focus, his hands resting lightly on his knees. Perched atop his head, his Niffler Martial Soul, Mochi, mirrored his position perfectly, sitting upright with an almost meditative poise, as if sharing in his tranquil moment.

At this moment, Dugu Chen was diligently practicing the Heaven's Eye Spirit Refining Art.

The cultivation process began with calming the mind and entering a state of deep meditation, to eliminate all distractions and achieve complete mental clarity.

Once this state was reached, the next step involved absorbing Spiritual Energy released by a specially prepared Sublime Spirit Incense, which had been lit nearby. This incense emitted a unique form of energy vital for the technique.

Through precise and rhythmic breathing techniques, the practitioner had to carefully filter the Spiritual Energy they absorbed, refining it into a purer form. This refined energy would then be automatically stored in the Spiritual Sea.

These two foundational steps had to be repeated constantly until the practitioner developed the ability to perceive their Spiritual Sea with clarity.

The first step was simple for Dugu Chen, and thanks to his Ultimate Spiritual Attribute, he didn't need to rely on the Sublime Spirit Incense. He could naturally draw in the Spiritual Energy from Heaven and Earth, and refine it, which was then automatically stored directly in his Spiritual Sea.

All at once, Dugu Chen became acutely aware of a vast, pristine space within him. It felt boundless, with countless shimmering points of light scattered like stars across an endless sky. His perception seemed to expand effortlessly, reaching every corner of this luminous realm.

Instantly, he realized that this ethereal expanse was his Spiritual Sea—a manifestation of his mind's core and the reservoir for his Spiritual Energy.

Dugu Chen marveled at the sight, feeling an inexplicable connection to every flicker of light within the space.

With just a thought from him, his Spiritual Power began to expand outward, flowing like a gentle stream into the surrounding nature. He can now sense the life force of every plant, the movement of the air, and even the faint vibrations of insects scurrying nearby.

Although the sensation was somewhat similar to the familiar act of releasing his Spiritual Power to scan his surroundings, there was now a subtle but profound difference.

This time, Dugu Chen could consciously influence how his Spiritual Power interacted with the environment. It wasn't an automatic, passive process as before; instead, he could guide and shape the flow of his Spiritual Energy, focusing it on specific areas or objects with precision.

This newfound control opened a world of possibilities. He tested it by honing in on the faint rustle of leaves in a distant corner of the courtyard. To his amazement, the subtle vibrations became clear in his mind, as though the sound itself carried a unique energy signature.

Similarly, he directed his Spiritual Power toward the ground, sensing the dense, stable energy emanating from the earth beneath him.

Encouraged by his progress, Dugu Chen began to experiment further, remembering the manual's description of refining perception through practice.

After practicing for nearly two hours, Dugu Chen finally began to feel the strain of mental exhaustion setting in, with beads of sweat forming and trickling down his forehead.

Nevertheless, the sheer potential of the Heaven's Eye Spirit Refining Art thrilled him. "If this is what I can achieve at the beginning stages, mastering this technique might truly allow me to perceive things beyond normal comprehension," he thought with growing excitement.

Now, his next step was to persist in refining his Spiritual Power using the methods outlined in the technique manual.

The goal was to elevate his Spiritual Power to a state referred to as the "Abyssal Prison", though its exact nature remained a mystery to him.

The manual assured that he would instinctively recognize this stage once he achieved it. Only then would he be ready to attempt the awakening of Heaven's Eye.

His family gathered around the breakfast table, and shared in his excitement, their faces lighting up with happiness.

Dugu Chen's parents and grandfather, of course, were undoubtedly pleased to hear the good news.

In fact, they themselves had completed the first stage of the Heaven's Eye Spirit Refining Art only a few days after starting their cultivation. The reason for their quicker progress was their higher Soul Power ranks.

"Hahahaha~! Congratulations, Chen'er! You truly are the most talented person to be born in our Dugu Family!" Dugu Bo exclaimed with a hearty laugh, his eyes gleaming with pride as he placed a hand on Dugu Chen's shoulder. "Your progress is remarkable, especially considering your age. I have no doubt that you'll surpass all of us in time."

Dugu Xin and Mo Ying echoed his sentiments as well, showering Dugu Chen with praise and encouragement.

Dugu Chen, embarrassed by their praise, lowered his head slightly. "Thank you, everyone. I couldn't have done it without your support. But I still have a long way to go. I will continue to work hard and improve every day."

"That's the spirit!" Dugu Bo said, his voice filled with encouragement. "No matter what challenges you face, remember that you have the strength of this family behind you. We'll all walk this path together."

Everyone nodded in agreement, including Dugu Yan, who followed suit after seeing her brother and parents do the same.

"Now," Dugu Bo said with a smile, "I have some good news to share too."

"What good news, Grandpa?" Dugu Chen asked. Dugu Xin and Mo Ying also looked at Dugu Bo with a curious expression.

Seeing this, Dugu Bo didn't keep in suspense any longer, "I have found out important information about a Soul Beast called Green Jade Bird.

"Green Jade Birds are special Soul Beasts that have flesh akin to ice and bones like Jade. Additionally, when Green Jade Bird cultivates to the rank of a Hundred-Thousand years, they would have no chance to survive because they transform into a Jade Gemstone.

"The Jade Gemstone is said to be of extremely high quality and since ancient times, they were kept by nobles as collections. Now, we just need to buy five such Jade Gemstones from the nobles.

"I believe that given these Jade Gemstones are the product of a Green Jade Bird's Hundred-Thousand Years of cultivation, they contain immense energy, energy that is suitable to be used as resources to cultivate the Jade Body Refining Art.

Dugu Bo smiled at their reactions. "Indeed, the Green Jade Birds are a valuable resource. But, we shouldn't forget that acquiring the Jade Gemstones from Nobles wouldn't be an easy task. Unless I breakthrough to Rank 90 and become a Titled Douluo."

A Titled Douluo. To most of the world, a Titled Douluo was seen as the pinnacle of strength and authority, a being whose power and influence could rival the two emperors of the Heaven Dou Empire and Star Luo Empire.

Reaching such a level would guarantee that the nobles wouldn't dare to refuse any negotiations, let alone attempt to exploit or deceive them.

The status of a Titled Douluo wasn't just about strength; it was a symbol of untouchable authority. Nobles and even royal families would tread carefully around someone with such power, ensuring their cooperation out of both respect and fear.
