Chapter 519: What It Takes To Be An Emperor!
When Kai and Beelzemon were done having at each other, he collected the 12th Ingredient of the Dark Scroll Potion.
Brains of 7 Dragons!
Which dragons, though, wasn't clear.
Perhaps the potion recipe would clear that up later, Kai thought, entering the 13th Circle with only 30 minutes remaining to his Identity Period.
Behind him, as the White Serpent Pirates walked toward the next Circle, Moraine closed up on Meg.
Except for the times when they needed to discuss plans, the ladies hadn't interacted much with each other.
Meg noticed the question on Moraine's face.
"Ah…" Moraine cleared her throat, noticing Spawn too looking at her. That one unnerved her the most. But she was Moraine and chosen by His Majesty himself. She took a deep breath, gaining confidence in that. "I have a question."
The ex-Priestess of Temple of Hastur almost smirked. "That's obvious."
Moraine blushed. Gods! She's beautiful!
Contestant Stark Blue shook her head, throwing the stray thoughts away.
She pointed her chin toward Red Sun, and asked, "Shouldn't… Shouldn't One Tail's destructive potential be greater than Angel Arm? I mean…"
"I know what you mean," Meg interrupted.
Oh, no! Did I offend her?! Moraine blushed again.
To Meg's left, Spawn's mouth was pressed into a thin line, but one could see the barest hint of a small smile at the corners of her lips.
Morning Mist giggled.
"There are two things you must note while comparing such things," she told Moraine like instructing a child. "Red Sun is a 10th-floor Contestant. I am on the 6th-floor."
Moraine nodded.
That one was obvious.
Still, floor difference didn't explain why one of the most famous creatures in the Multiverse…
Moraine's breath caught in her lungs as she saw Meg taking out a Paper Pokeball. "No. No…"
"Don't panic," Meg said. "It's alright."
From the Pokeball, with a burst of white-yellow light, Shukaku came out.
However, this Shukaku was barely big enough to curl within Meg's palm. Like a baby, it purred against her skin, coiling its massive tail around it.
"Touch it."
"Eh?"
Meg repeated. "Touch it."
Moraine poked the creature. Her eyes widened.
It was like… Moraine couldn't believe it. So she did it again. "It's like… It's like it's made of paper."
Meg nodded. "It's not a creature, as I also told His Majesty," she explained. "It's more like an Origami given life. The negatives are that it would never reach the true potential of a Tailed Beast as known to the Naruto Random World. And the positives…"
"… It can grow with you," Moraine pointed out.
"Yes." Meg put the One Tail back into her Inventory. "And, it can become Two Tails, Three Tails, and so on…"
Moraine took a deep breath. That's… so broken!
"Is it… Is it a Multiverse Interdependency between Tailed Beasts and Pokemon?" she asked.
Both Meg and Spawn stared at her, appraising her once more.
"You are smart," Morning Mist said, smiling.
Red Sun suddenly hopped toward them. "I heard someone saying my name," he said. "Are you guys interested in me? I am single…"
Spawn's eyes glowed green. Meg took the Paper Pokeball out again. And a seven-colored hue danced on Moraine's back.
As soon as Red Sun had come, he ran away even faster.

The 13th Circle, the Circle of Defender, was a vast meadow filled with blood-stained bodies, the stench of blood and shit, and darkness beyond measure.
This was not what Kai had expected to find in this Circle.
Another thing he had not expected even remotely was the presence of the knight sitting on a broken throne in the distance.
Oh, he knew he would meet a knight, of course. Just not one knight, but many.
So when Kai saw the Inferi of King Arthur Pendragon, sitting alone, he couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.
"You were right, master," Meg hissed, standing beside him, looking concerned. "The 13th Circle's guardian is the legend himself."
Cersei snorted. "So what?" she said, nonchalantly.
Though the deep frown on her face betrayed her.
"Should I check…" Spawn suggested.
"And then what?" Meg said, her voice concerned. "You have a death wish or something?"
Red Sun yawned. Then yawned again.
King Arthur's Inferi stood up, silver-gold and bloody armor clanking, fading into the distance.
In his hands was an exactly similar Excalibur to the one Darcie had seen in the Celestial Hall at the ministry of magic. That sword was also a portkey, leading to the mythical place, Avalon.
The one in the Inferi hand, though similar, lacked the obvious charm of the original.
Yet, the dangerous aura pulsating out of it told another tale altogether.
At least a Rare Grade weapon, Kai guessed, taking out Murasame and Sounga. Or a touch stronger.
The hideousness of such a weapon, though unwanted, didn't come as a shock when the Inferi itself had the power of a…
… Top-level 10th floor Contestant!
The presence of a similarly powerful weapon was only just.
As he went by these thoughts and reasoning, Kai found himself smiling for some reason.
Two years had passed and much had changed in those two years.
His shadow rippled and despair began oozing out.
One Dementor…
Two… Three…
Four… Six…
Nine.
A total of nine, 2.3 metres tall, Level 1 Dementors hovered behind Kai, like sentries sent by Death itself.
It didn't stop here, though.
His shadow was still rippling, a bony hand crawling up.
Slowly, a massive, level 2 Dementor, 3 metres in height, stood in front of the smaller ones like a General, its breath rattling.
Ten Dementors.
Uncountable despair.
One of the two Multiverse IDs Red Sun possessed belonged to Digimon Random World.
After getting his hands on Beelzemon, Kai had found it unproductive to not let that world know of despair.
However, plunging one world into darkness wasn't enough for Kai.
The second Multiverse ID Red Sun had belonged to the Random World of Pokemon, having an Overall Difficulty of C+.
Kai had gone there for… obvious reasons.
And he had left behind a token of his presence there, too.
With all the despair he had spread, Kai had managed to create six more Dementors, including a Level 2 Dementor.
And with these Dementors came Soul Points.
Kai let them loose, sucking out souls.
The result was —
— An upgradation of Dementor Blood Essence, awarding him 20 Points of Breath!

20 Points pushed Kai's Breath to 58, including the 3 points buff given by Novice Collector.
This wasn't the end, though.
Every Switched World needed a Side Mission and every such Side Mission awarded Kai Attribute Points.
With his Main Mission's Grade rising to C+, the awarded Attribute Points also increased.
Kai's terrorizing sojourns to Digimon and Pokemon Random Worlds awarded him 10 Attribute Points which he assigned to his Correspondence.
Now, his Correspondence stood at 43, including the buff.
One must not forget that the Set Quotas of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Set were 20, 50, and 100 Attribute Points respectively, amounting to a total of 170 Points.
To be called a Top-level 9th Floor existence, the minimum requirement was to have obtained 190-200 Points from the three Sets.
So, even if one excluded Kai's Attribute Points with which he had resurrected, he had already obtained 119 Points from the Missions!
And many of them were out of his Set Quota!
With Attribute Points alone, Kai was already equivalent to a Top-level 7th floor existence, or even an 8th-floor figure.
But if there was one thing that set Kai's apart from other Contestants was his capability to apply buffs.
With the newly upgraded Titan's Buff, Murasame, and his Glitch, Kai could even soar to the ranks of 9th-floor existences.
And if that wasn't enough, then there was Selfless Breathing.
If that wasn't enough, then there was Reality Marble.
If that wasn't enough, then there was Eon Soul Dew.
If that wasn't enough, then… Black had yet to come into existence…
… Yellow Crystals had yet to dance in the eyes…
…
And that's what it took to be called an Emperor.
