Chapter 75: Cute Girl?
Chapter 75: Cute Girl?
*Celia’s POV*
I feel like I’ve done this before, but I rushed over to the sound of gunfire. My hope was to find a cute girl, and somehow, maybe by the grace of those higher beings, I did indeed find a cute girl…
She was in a firefight with three skeletons. Each skeleton had some modern looking rifles. The woman shot at them while hiding behind a corner.
Since the skeleton’s were distracted, I ran up to them with my sword, and rather than off them, I just destroyed their hands. Which worked out quite well! I then pushed each one down, before crushing their skulls just like before.
Rather than go to the woman, I looted the skeletons first, before putting all of my loot into my pouch. After I did that, the woman came out of her hiding spot.
The woman had short jet black hair that went halfway to her shoulders. She also had heterochromatic eyes, one being Emerald green and the other being a deep red similar to fresh blood. To be honest, she kinda looked straight out of an anime. Her clothes didn’t look like anything the people of this world wear nowadays either…
Celia: “Um… Who are you?” I ask with a curious tone.
Unknown Woman: “Me? My name is Erika, what’s yours?” She asked.
Celia: “My name is Celia. Say, you don’t look like you’re from this world.” I reply with a raised eyebrow.
Erika: “Good eye. Yes, this isn’t my original dimension. Or at least, it isn’t the one that I happen to call home.” She said with a laugh.
Celia: “How’d you end up here?” I ask with a curious tone.
Erika: “To be honest? I do not know. I just woke up in this place.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “And you can’t go back to your dimension?” I ask.
Erika: “Magic doesn’t seem to work in this place, so no. Although, one of my wives might be able to take me back.” She said with a thinking pose.
Celia: “This place is a dungeon, and yeah, magic oddly doesn’t work here at all.” I say with a sigh.
Erika: “Ah, I see… Then, shall we explore it together?” She proposed.
Celia: “Sure… Wait, who the heck is that?” I say with a confused tone, while pointing at a woman who just appeared out of nowhere.
Erika: “This is Sofiel, one of my wives.” She said with a warm tone.
Sofiel: “Yes, I am one of her wives. But Erika, could you please not do crazy things for just a few months?” She asked with a sigh.
Erika: “It wasn’t my intention to go to this dimension, you know.” She said with a pout.
Sofiel: “Regardless, random woman, I shall take my wife back with me now. Just be happy that I saved you from falling for her.” She said with a giggle, before grabbing Erika’s hand, and disappearing with her.
Um… did I just watch a play, or something? Are they really just going to leave me like that? They didn’t even offer an explanation on why Erika showed up here, or even asked if I needed their help… Ah, my head hurts…
What was that Sofiel said about falling for Erika? Sure, she was pretty cute, but I didn’t even know her for more than a few minutes… Ah, it is probably best to just forget that any of this even happened… Erasing the last few minutes from my memory, I continued to explore this place.
*Hours Later.*
Okay… I am so beyond confused! What even is this place? Soldier’s from my time getting trapped here? I can believe that, but why the fuck are there so many different kinds of people, that got turned into Skeleton Ghosts, in this dungeon!?
Some were clearly from this time period, as their clothes reflected that. Though, still very old looking, with swords and armor that don’t reflect any kingdom that I am aware of. Some of them could even use very powerful magic.
People from this era getting trapped in this dungeon, isn’t what surprises me. What does, is people from even BEFORE my era, being in this place. Do you know how odd it is to fight a samurai skeleton? What about soldiers from both world wars, and all sides?
That is to say, I feel like I am having a crazy dream. Or maybe, a crazy nightmare. At least all of the shit that they dropped, is usable for me in some capacity. Though, that mostly goes for the firearms.
Maybe making modern ones right away, would be a bad idea. Luckily, I found a lot of flintlock ones. So the Goblins back in my dimension can just make them first, and then work their way up to modern ones.
I think that I’ve killed a few hundred Skeleton Ghosts at this point, and even gained a few levels in the process. Did those higher beings ship me off to this place, just so I could evolve faster again? I truly wish that most higher beings were like Nia and Ria…
As I turned a corner, I stepped on a trap, which sent arrows flying in my direction. I guess that it’s due to having such a high Swordsmanship Skill, but I was able to block all of the arrows that would have ended hit hitting me, with my sword.
Now, am I beyond pissed off! Apart from meeting Erika, and getting some cool weapons, nothing of interest has even happened in hours! I demand an answer on why I even ended up here in this place! Not like anyone would actually answer me, though…
Ruina: “You’re in luck, as I can give you an answer!” She said with a giggle.
Celia: “Ruina? What did you find out?” I ask with a serious tone.
Ruina: “You see, that hole that you fell into, it would have been either your death, or extremely painful. As such, in the last second, a higher being teleported you to a safe place.” She explained.
Celia: “Safe? Things keep trying to kill me here, though. Even the dungeon itself!” I exclaim.
Ruina: “The fall was actually pretty short, so she didn’t have time to pick a specific and safe spot. Instead, she chose to send you to a default location of this world.” She replied.
Celia: “Default? What do you mean? This isn’t a game…” I ask with a confused tone.
Ruina: “This isn’t a game, that you’re correct about. But every dimension has its own default location.” She said.
Celia: “What is it even used for?” I ask.
Ruina: “Ever heard how some people just vanish for no reason? That is because “something” happened to them, that forced the will of this dimension, to place them into the default location.” She explained.
So… it is sorta like when you fall out of the map in a game… Which would explain why there are so many different skeletons here, all of different eras. Since I was sent here just because there weren’t any other options at the time, would also explain why I haven’t found any exact reason for me to be in this place…
Oh well, I shall still endeavor to explore it. Not like I can even leave at the moment anyway. Plus, like with the firearms, there might be something that makes this entire troublesome event, actually worth it. That being said, the adventure shall continue!
