Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Chapter 69: Pretty Girl in Peril.

Hello! This is my latest novel! Unlike my other novels, this one isn't finished yet. The first volume is finished, though. And you can buy it on Amazon here. If you would be so kind, you can also get the first volume(and anything else I've made.) on my Patreon for donating $10 or over that, here. If you wish for updates, the $10 and over tiers will give you access to chapters when I actually finish them. (Maybe one a day? Idk, as I will be mainly working on other novels as well. But, there will at least be one new chapter every few days.)

Chapter 69: Pretty Girl in Peril.

*Celia’s POV*

What should have been a lively and warm dinner, soon turned into planning out that fucker, Char’s murder. Granted, we probably could just ask Lia’s mom to off him, but where is the fun in that? Life is short, kill those who wish death upon you and your loved ones!

It also didn’t help that Nia told us what would happen with each plan that we came up with. This is where the fun sorta fell apart, as pretty much every plan that popped up in our cute little heads, ended up working perfectly. Why did this dude send assassins out to kill Lia, but is so damn easy to kill?

Lia: “Char is heavily hated by mother. It is a surprise that he even had SOME of the Celestium needed to hire those assassins.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “Didn’t he do that twice? Where the hell did he even get the Celestium for it?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Nia: “I could tell you, but it is best to not reveal too much about the future, especially when it will happen very soon.” She said with a slightly remorseful tone.

Lia: “Didn’t you just blatantly tell us that Celia will marry you, though?” She asked with a curious expression.

Nia: “Hm? Ah, well, that surely does not count.” She said with a shrug.

Celia: “Why not?” I ask with a head tilt.

Nia: “Because we originally get married when you are around the age of a thousand years old.” She replied with a nonchalant tone.

Lia: “…”

Celia: “Aren’t you getting a little ahead of yourself then?” I ask with a sigh.

Nia: “Why? If we’re destined to be together, then I do not see any reason to wait that long.” She said with a confident tone.

Celia: “Fair point, I guess.” I say with another sigh.

Nia: “I’m glad that you think so as well, Celia.” She said with a happy smile.

Lia: “Back on topic, Char would be my only sibling who would attempt to kill his other siblings, just to become the head of the family.” She said with a serious tone.

Celia: “Why only him?” I ask.

Lia: “He is just a terrible person. My other siblings are just going to compete on merit, and how good they do at the academy.” She explained.

Celia: “So, we do eventually have to kill him, right?” I ask with a slightly evil tone and expression.

Lia: “Yes, he has already killed three of my siblings. Letting him run around, would be a bad idea.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “Kill him as soon as possible, got it.” I say with a thumbs up.

Lia: “…”

When we finished our food, it twas time for the three cute girls to head to sleep, so we walked back to our carriage. Before hopping into the carriage, I smelt the faint scent of blood…

No, I am not a vampire… yet. But I could smell that awful metallic smell was blood, even if it wasn’t near me. Without even saying anything to the other girls, I rushed towards the smell. What I found was a little shocking… Am I cursed? Why do I keep finding cute girls, but you know, half dead?

Anyway, Sana was on the ground, in a random alleyway, she looked like she was on her last legs. Though, unlike with Lia, she seemed responsive.

Rather than be a weirdo that didn’t care about her wellbeing, and ask what happened to her, I just straight up picked her up in a princess carry, and then ran back to the girls.

I came to this area faster than I originally thought, as it took a while to reach the girls. Though, we did meet halfway. They instantly understood how bad Sana was, so we just ran back to the carriage.

Once in the carriage, Nia touch out a potion from a pouch, and helped Sana drink it. Her wounds stopped bleeding, and within a few minutes, they were gone. But Sana still lost a lot of blood, and was barely aware because of it.

When we go back to the house, I once again ran for help from those maids that could use healing magic. I know that I have access to healing magic, but I haven’t used any magic at all. And I will not be using Sana as a test subject for it either. Anyway, they used healing magic on her, and then she fell asleep in my arms.

No. She didn’t die, or anything like that. Despite using the healing potion on her, she was still in a lot of pain, but healing magic can also soothe you.

It affects your mind, and your body, so she finally calmed down, and fell asleep because of it. I then took her to an unused room, and placed her on the bed within it. Sana will probably wake up soon, so I didn’t leave her side.

Celia: “Lia, could you show Nia around this place, and help her pick out a room?” I ask with a calm tone.

Lia: “What!? Do you mean that she is going to live here as well!?” She asked with a shocked tone.

Celia: “Nia and you will eventually be married to me, so shouldn’t my wives live with me?” I ask with a head tilt.

Lia: “Wife…” She said with a happy smile, but also with a blushed face.

Nia: “Ah, Celia is such a caring girl! Come on now, Lia, show me around, before you pass out from the happiness.” She said before grabbing Lia’s hand, and running out of the room with her.

While I was waiting for Sana to wake up, Ria brought me some snacks to eat. A little bit after I finished eating said snacks, Sana had finally woken up from her slumber.

Sana: “C…Celia?” She asked with a shocked expression.

Celia: “That is correct. It has been a while, yes?” I reply.

Sana: “Why… Why would you even bother to save me? We tried to harm you…” She said with a confused tone.

Celia: “That was Areina’s plan, correct? She wanted to use me to make the main branch of her house, actually recognize her and her efforts.” I reply with a serious tone.

Sana: “Yes… even after you saved us, all she could think about was how she could use you for her benefit.” She said with a sad tone.

Celia: “Enough about that, what happened to you? If I came along any time later, you would have died.” I ask with a serious tone.

Sana: “Areina… she started funding her nephew, Char. I was suspicious about it, so I went ahead and investigated it.” She said.

Celia: “And what happened? Did you realize that Areina was the one to destroy your family?” I ask.

Sana: “How… how did you know?” She asked with a shocked expression.

Celia: “Railia, of the main branch of the Hertria family, is my friend. I told her about what Areina did, and she told me that the main branch investigated what happened to your family, and came to the conclusion that Areina was the one to destroy it.” I explain with a somber tone.

Sana: “Then… what I found out was correct… Though, I could have guessed that by how Areina tried to have me killed.” She said with a sad tone and expression.

Celia: “So, you found out about what she did, then she didn’t even care about your friendship, and would rather kill you so others wouldn’t know?” I ask.

Sana: “That seems to be the case… I am sorry for what I did to you, Celia, and I am also sorry for dragging you into this.” She said with a remorseful tone.

Celia: “It’s fine, we were planning on dealing with Char anyway, so we would have probably ended up going against Areina regardless.” I say with a shrug.

Sana: “I see… could I perhaps ask for your protection? Apart from Areina, I have no connections whatsoever.” She asked with an unsure tone.

Celia: “Of course, that was the plan. You can stay here as long as you want. By the way, are you hungry?” I ask.

Sana: “I was attacked on my way to eat, so yes, I am very hungry.” She said with a sigh.

After that chat, I left her room, and instructed some of the maids to take care of Sana. It shouldn’t take us that long to deal with Areina and Char, so soon she won’t have to worry about anything. Well, I do plan to give her some Celestium before she leaves.

Like an abuser, I assume that Sana was completely dependent on Areina, which was Areina’s intention. It is hard to go against someone who pays for everything you eat, and is the one responsible for how good you live, after all.

Sana will be safe here, I mean, all of the maids here are oddly powerful. For us, we just have to come to a conclusion on how to best deal with those two troublemakers…
