Chapter 68: Failed Attempt.
Chapter 68: Failed Attempt.
*Celia’s POV*
After the whole morning event with Orphenia, we arrived at class, actually on time. I was a little confused as to why it was combat class, rather than dungeon class. Surely, they had found a good dungeon by now, right?…
Unfortunately for my adventurous mind, the problem was double caused by me. For one, I killed a teacher, and two, I bribed a teacher, and gave her an infinite source of Mana Crystals, to which I gave her full permission to use as she sees fit. As such, there ain’t no way Hadi is leaving my dungeon for a decent while…
Anyway, the teacher was an amazing fighter! She recognized that I was pretty good with a sword, but lacked fighting experience with every other weapon. She completely ignored the other students and was intent on teaching me, and me alone. I was sure that I had gotten access to Skills for most weapons, as we trained with every weapon that the training ground had on hand.
Training with her was so fun that I didn’t even care about how hot that it was outside, and I even forgot to ask for her name… Oh well, I am sure that I will meet her once again.
As for right now, Orphenia just convinced me to call her Nia. With all three heroines, Ria, Lia, and now finally, Nia, I shall regain my true power! Or not. I just think that it’s funny, to have three love interests, that all have similar nicknames.
Just as I was about to tell Lia something, a masked man jumped out of the alleyway, and slashed his sword at Lia. Luckily, I was able to block his strike with my back. Have I done this before? Eh, whatever helps me get through the pain.
I did lose only a few hundred HP from his slash, but this isn’t a game, so it still hurt like a bitch… Ah, Lia killed the one that hurt me. I feel so loved! And also upset that I couldn’t get to him before she could. Lia was his target, after all…
Oh well, I protected a cute girl, and she protected me right back, so all is right with the world in my book! But what would make it even more right, would be killing these fuckers! Wow… Nia just took out a cool looking scythe… Well, she is a death Goddess, I guess.
Ah! My uniform is ruined! If only I had a basically infinite supply of them! I do, but I am still going to complain about it. Nothing wrong with adding just a little bit more justification to the murders that are soon to happen. Ugh… My mind is racing from the pain of this stupid sword wound… Who are these people anyway?
They look like assassins. Yeah, I know, that is exactly what they are. But what I mean, is that LOOK exactly like you would think an assassin would look like.
They’re wearing black clothing, which would be great, if it was nighttime, but in the day, they kinda stand out… Well, at least their faces are clothed. So I can’t say that they didn’t try to hide their identities.
Celia: “Lia, are they after you?” I ask with a serious tone.
Lia: “Most likely. To think that my siblings will still go after me, even when we’re together.” She said with an annoyed tone.
Nia: “You two need to focus on the fight, you can talk later.” She said with a nonchalant tone, as she cut one of their heads off.
Celia: “…”
Lia: “…”
Right… Death Goddess, she is… Following her lead, I started attacking the ones closest to me. Within a few minutes, and with the combined effort of us three, the group of assassins, which, if I remember correctly, numbered in the twenties, were cut down to only a few left alive. As I was just about to cut another one down, a random woman showed up. She looked to be with the same group.
Assassin Woman: “Enough!” She exclaimed.
Celia: “You know, you’re group attacked us first. And with the full intent to kill us, why should we stop?” I ask with an evil tone and expression.
Assassin Woman: “The ones that put out the hit, have failed to make any payments whatsoever. The contract on Railia Hertria had already expired.” She said with a calm tone.
Lia: “If it expired, why the hell has your group tried to kill me once more?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Assassin Woman: “For some Celestium, of course. As an apology, the one who made the hit, was Char Hertria. When he realized that he was blacklisted by our group, he went to the lower ranks to hire them instead.” She explained.
Lia: “Dammit, that idiot Char…” She said with an annoyed tone.
Nia: “Regardless, you have hurt our Celia…” She said with a grim tone.
Assassin Woman: “For that, no apology will be enough. But I can tell you about other the remaining lives of the ones who went against our orders. The ones you dealt with here, weren’t all of them.” She proposed.
Ria: “You can handle the males as you see fit, but Celia, I have use for the women.” She said with an evil tone.
When the heck did you even show up!? And by “use” you just mean to make them sex slaves to your minions! Ah, what a wonderful nod that you just gave me. Well, at least I can’t say that you don’t treat your minions well…
Assassin Woman: “Then we have come to a compromise?” She asked.
Celia: “Lia?” I ask.
Lia: “Fine… I want to kill my brother more anyway.” She said with a shrug.
Assassin Woman: “Wonderful! Then, where should I deliver the women?” She asked.
Ria: “Take me to them, I shall take them to their new home. Celia, one of the maids will be here shortly to take you all to dinner.” She said, before winking at me.
Oh God… I really need to get started on that sex dungeon for her… And just as you would expect from her, she somehow knew that we were going out to dinner…
Ria and the woman left, and as I was about to complain about the bloody mess that we left, some masked people showed up, and took care of the entire crime scene. You wouldn’t even notice that people were killed here not that long ago…
Like Ria said, a random maid showed up, and guided us to a carriage. Even though we kinda just went through an entire life and death situation, we are all oddly calm about the whole thing. While waiting to get to the restaurant, I went ahead and made a secret area, just for those perverted maids to use as they see fit.
Lia: “Celia, what is that thing?” She asked with a curious tone.
Celia: “Hm? You can see it? Ah, this is just a System menu. I got a Skill that lets me control and design my dungeon as I see fit, so I decided to add some… “stuff” while we wait.” I explain.
Lia: “Celia! Nia doesn’t know about any of that!” She said with a nervous expression.
Celia: “She can see the future, so she probably actually does know about it.” I reply with a shrug.
Nia: “That is correct, though the future does change a lot. One thing that is a constant, is that we will always end up together.” She said with a smile.
Lia: “Wait… is that why you stuck with us the entire day? You knew that we would be attacked!?” She exclaimed.
Nia: “There was a 70% chance of it happening, so yes. If you died, Celia would be very heartbroken, after all.” She replied.
Lia: “I see… But why did you let Celia get hurt then?” She asked with a scolding tone.
Nia: “I didn’t see a future where she got hurt in time, so I wasn’t able to prevent it at all. Which is something that upsets me as well.” She said with a sigh.
Lia: “Fine… I accept that excuse.” She said with a sigh of her own.
I should mention, the maid showed up with a new uniform for me, and even a healing potion. So I am completely fine at the moment. While we waited to arrive, we chatted about various girly topics. Such as, how we should go about killing one of your brothers. Ah, tomorrow sure is going to be interesting!
