Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Chapter 46: Chance Encounter.

Hello! This is my latest novel! Unlike my other novels, this one isn't finished yet. The first volume is finished, though. And you can buy it on Amazon here. If you would be so kind, you can also get the first volume(and anything else I've made.) on my Patreon for donating $10 or over that, here. If you wish for updates, the $10 and over tiers will give you access to chapters when I actually finish them. (Maybe one a day? Idk, as I will be mainly working on other novels as well. But, there will at least be one new chapter every few days.)

Chapter 46: Chance Encounter.

*Celia’s POV*

Well, okay, I sorta lied. I mean, the encounter wasn’t fluffy, but the girl was cute. She was wearing the same uniform as me, so she was a student. It’s just that, she was covered in blood, and her outfit was in tatters…

The girl had platinum blond hair that went, I think all the way down to her knees. I cannot see what her eyes color is at the moment, since she isn’t waking up, no matter how many times I tried to wake her up… She looked to be a noble of some kind, is that why she is in this situation?

Did someone try to assassinate her? In broad daylight? Well, the sun is going down at the moment, but she looked to have been here for a while… I could still feel her pulse, but her breathing was labored, and she clearly lost a lot of blood. With great care, I picked the slowly dying girl up in my arms, into a princess carry.

My goal was to get her to the infirmary, the only problem, is that I have no idea where it is… While I was wracking my brain, trying to figure out what I should do, Ria showed up.

Ria: “Lady Celia, who is that?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “I have no idea, I just found her like this… Quick! We need to get to the infirmary!” I exclaim.

Ria: “The infirmary is on the opposite of the academy, she will die by the time we make it there.” She replied with a sigh.

Celia: “Then… what do we do?” I ask with a sad tone.

Ria: “There are a few maids back at our residence that can use healing magic. They are her only hope of survival.” She proposed.

Betting on Ria being stupidly powerful like Amelie, I asked her to fly me back to our house, while I still carried the dying girl. With luck, she could actually fly, and we arrived at our place within only a few minutes.

But the girl was quickly losing her fight to survive, with great haste, we found the four maids who could use healing magic, and then I begged them to save the girl. We then went to a vacant room, where I put her down on a bed.

Look, yeah, I don’t know this girl, and she could even betray me in the future, but cute girls should always be saved. I hate when cute, or beautiful women die, after all… As much as I would like to stay by this girl’s side, Ria ushered me back to my room, since I needed to get some sleep for tomorrow.

*A Restless Night Later.*

Getting to sleep, was impossible. Even with my cloudlike bed. I was just far too worried about the girl that I picked up. She is quite cute, you know. Regardless, I did get SOME sleep in the end. Following my average morning, the cute girl walked into the dining room.

Celia: “Good morning, I am glad to see that you survived.” I say with a warm tone.

Cute Girl: “As am I. The maids said that you were the one to save me. Thanks for that, I will surely repay you one day.” She said with a smile.

Celia: “All I did was just carry you here, my maids were the ones to save you. So you should direct your thanks to them instead.” I reply.

Cute Girl: “But as they’re your maids, I was saved on your orders.” She said after she sat down at the table.

Celia: “That so? Anyway, my name is Celia, what is yours?” I ask with a curious tone.

Cute Girl: “Ah, so you’re Lady Celia, then? My name is Railia, of the Hertria family. But my friends and family just calls me, Lia.” She replied.

Oh? That is quite the cute name! Wait… where have I heard that name before?… Areina! That was the name of her family! Was I tricked by them again?…

Lia: “What’s wrong?” She asked with a head tilt.

Celia: “…”

Now now, it could just be a coincidence that she is a part of that family. Assuming that this truly was just a chance encounter, then I shouldn’t dislike Lia, just because of what her mother did. Celia, don’t blame the child for the crime of the parent…

Celia: ”On my trip here to this kingdom, I ran into your mother.” I say with a sigh.

Lia: “My mother?” She said with a confused expression.

Celia: “Her name is Areina, right?” I reply.

Lia: “Ah, Areina is my aunt, not my mother.” She said with a laugh.

Celia: “I see, that is good then.” I say with a smile.

Lia: “Why is it good? Do you have bad blood with my aunt?” She asked with a curious tone.

Celia: “You see, I saved her and Sana, from some fake bandits. My reward was her taking me to the Guild, and having me interrogated by an old woman, called Kirva.” I explain.

Lia: “Well, as you’re Amelie’s student, she was probably trying to get a hold of you.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “What do you mean?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Lia: “Aunt Areina, is from a fallen branch of our family. She is desperate to find some way to legitimize her branch once more.” She explained.

Celia: “Fallen branch? But her carriage and everything seemed to be quite expensive…” I say with an unsure tone.

Lia: “All loaned to her by the main family branch, which is the branch that I hail from.” She replied.

Celia: “If she is from such a terrible branch, then why did some knights pretending to be bandits, try to kill her?” I ask with a thinking pose.

Lia: “She loves attention.” She said with a tone of disdain.

Celia: “What do you mean?” I ask with a head tilt.

Lia: “I mean that she most likely was the one to start that entire series of events. Those knights were probably her own, as for how she planned on surviving it, your guess is as good as mine.” She explained.

Celia: “And what about Sana?” I ask.

Lia: “Sana? Ah, a poor woman indeed. Sana is such a sad girl, not even realizing that it was Areina, who destroyed her family.” She said with a remorseful tone.

Celia: “Areina did it!? But aren’t they supposed to be friends?” I ask with a tone of disbelief.

Lia: “In Sana’s mind, yes, but Areina probably only sees her as a pawn. The investigation that the main branch of our family did, concluded that Areina was the one who had Sana’s family killed.” She answered.

What the heck? Lia didn’t lie at all, I am sure of it. But is Areina really that evil? I am sure that I am a good judge of character… Did her big breasts, and milfy-ness blind me?

Breakfast arrived, and as Lia almost died, I gestured for her to eat, rather than talk with me more. Like always, the food was super good. Though, not as good as that restaurant that Amelie owns.

Once breakfast was finished, Lia said that she was still going to attend classes, despite almost dying. We were about the same build, so she is currently wearing one of my academy uniforms. At the door to my residence, Lia stopped me.

Lia: “Lady Celia, might I get your help?” She asked with a nervous tone.

Celia: “It truly depends on what you need help with.” I reply.

Lia: “Could you please become my girlfriend!?” She said with a red face and an embarrassed tone.

What!? Did a cute girl just confess to me? Is it finally time for me to sprout my wings, and get a relationship? My well runneth over! Farewell my childish youth! Romantic relationship with a hot girl acquired!
