Call me Bella: Alpha’s Fated Mate

Chapter 9: Chapter 9

Isabella Martini - POV

My head was pounding as if someone was banging it against a wall while I gradually opened my eyes, but the bright light made me squint a few times. Once I was finally able to adjust to the lighting, I opened my eyes and looked around.

It was a rather small room with white walls and a small window to my right that had a metal grill on it. As I scanned the room, I soon came to realize that there was nothing in there except the bed I was lying on and a small metal table on my left.

Click!

My head turned around towards the door when I saw a man walk inside with an emotionless look on his face. He was tall, probably more than six foot with wavy brown hair and a pair of green eyes that held nothing but disdain. As he walked close to me, I felt his aura hit me like a truck, making me gulp my saliva.

He is definitely a beta, and he didn't look friendly at all.

"What is your name, rogue?" he asked me in a monotone while I remained quiet. I have no idea what pack I am currently in, and I know damn well that Gael must have already sent out a notice to all his ally packs that his Luna is missing, if this is one of his allies, I certainly don't want to end up back in his arms.

"I bring no harm. If you can set me free, I will be on my way." I told him.

"I cannot decide if you should leave or die, Rouge. That decision is in my Alpha's hands. But right now, I want to know your name and which pack you previously belonged to." his words sent a shiver down my spine.

"Please, it would be better if you don't know who I am. Just let me go, and I will never step foot in here again." I begged him as I got up from bed and sat against the headboard. He stared at me for a long time as a tense silence descended in the room. A few minutes later, three warriors walked inside and bowed to the man.

"Take her to the dungeons." that was what he said before the warriors started walking towards me. My heart started to race while my body went into a fight-or-flight mood. The moment one of the warriors held my hand, I kicked him in the jaw, making him stumble back as I jumped out of the bed and tried to flee.

I thought I could leave, but within seconds, the other two warriors caught my hands and forced them behind my back. "You are not leaving this place without the Alpha's permission, Rogue." the beta exclaimed while I struggled in their arms, but it was of no use. "Take her away," he commanded, and the warriors dragged me out of there.

We walked down the hallway when they came to a stop in front of a metal door. While having a strong grip on me, one of the warriors pushed something on the wall, and promptly a keypad popped out. After scanning his fingerprint, the metal door opened, showing us a staircase that led us leading downstairs.

"Please, let me leave! Please!" I yelled, begged, and even tried to hit them again, but it was no use. They were stronger than me. Soon, they dragged me down the concrete stairs, and when we reached the landing, my eyes widened in fear. There were a lot of prison cells that were separated by concrete walls and most of them were occupied.

As we walked further inside, I realized that there was not a single woman in there. As we passed by each of the cells, the rogues inside moved towards the metal bar as they stared at me with lustful glances, making me want to run away from there.

"Put her in here, I will take good care of her!"

"What a nice piece of meat!"

"Hey, sweetheart, want to play?"

"Look at that ass!"

All sorts of comments and crude remarks were being thrown at me while the warriors continued to drag me further. When we reached the last cell, they unlocked the door and roughly pushed me inside. I quickly got up to try and escape, but the warriors were faster as they locked the cell. "Please, let me out!" I begged as tears started flowing down my cheeks.

"Be happy that we didn't put you in with another rouge." the warrior spat out before they walked out of there. I crawled to the back of the cell and pulled my legs closer to my chest as I silently sobbed. The cell was dark except for the light coming in from the hallway.

"How are we going to escape from here, Rose?"

"We don't have to," she said, and this made a frown appear on my face.

"Are you nuts? Do you want to die? From the way he beta spoke, it is either spend the rest of our pathetic life in this prison cell or die at the hands of the Alpha." I said, but strangely, Rose didn't sound panicked, and this only stressed me out further.

"We won't die, Bella. We will be safe in here," she said and this only annoyed me further. I blocked my connection with my wolf and lay down on the cold floor. I was still able to hear the catcalling from the rogues in the cells, but for some reason, I felt safe.

At least these people had some humanity. My eyes closed on their own accord, and soon, I entered into a dreamless sleep.

I jolted awake when I heard heavy footsteps in the hallway, and eerily, there was not a single sound in the dungeons while I felt a shift in the air. "Finally!" Rose yipped in my mind, but I was too petrified to move from my place.

The footsteps only got louder while my heart was beating against my chest. For a bizarre moment, I felt calm within me. "Where is she?" I heard a deep voice that sent a shiver through my body as I felt my core drip.
