Chapter 31: Naruto World
One of the most shocking things I discovered was that I had been in my mother's womb for almost 1,000 years. As ridiculous as it sounds, it's true. I still don't know why, but I'm determined to find out eventually. That revelation alone was enough to leave me stunned, but it wasn't the only thing that shook me to my core.
I also learned that my mother is known as the Ice Queen—some even call her the Heartless Queen. Hearing those titles left me completely rattled because, to me, she's anything but heartless. She's one of the warmest, kindest, and most affectionate people I've ever known. Her love can be overwhelming, almost suffocating at times, to the point where I've cringed from how intense it is. So how could someone like her be labeled as heartless? It just didn't make sense.
I found all this out two months ago, on my fifth birthday. That day, I was supposed to attend some kind of tournament alone to congratulate the winner—it was part of my duty. During that event, I overheard the rumors about my mother. Supposedly, there had been a daughter of planetary rulers who was jealous of my mother's beauty because my mother ranked higher than her. In a fit of rage, the princess publicly claimed I was stillborn.
The next part of the rumor was even more disturbing. They said that when my mother heard about the insult, she ordered that every newborn in that princess's domain be killed—for 982 years. As for the princess herself, my mother supposedly had her beautiful face—her pride and joy—completely ruined. She's hideous now.
It's hard to believe. How could my loving, affectionate mother do something so cruel? Just thinking about it makes my head hurt. I wanted to ask her directly, but it felt… awkward. So, I decided to wait. Maybe it's all some elaborate joke, or maybe there's more to the story than I've heard. Either way, I'll find out the truth eventually. I just have to be patient and keep gathering information.
Determined to speed up time in the only way I could, I decided to fall asleep as quickly as possible.

[New Mission Unlocked]
"Finally," Akuma muttered to himself, his eyes narrowing with anticipation. "The system gave me a mission. It's been a long wait."
His heart raced as he pulled up the mission details, the familiar holographic interface flickering to life before him.
[Current Mission:]
World to Reborn: Naruto
Become the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village
Objective: Protect the village until Boruto is born. Don't let the village population decrease by more than 50% or its destruction exceed 50%.
Reward: Chakra level of the Nine-Tails and mastery over all five elements.
Destroy All Five Great Hidden Villages
Objective: Ensure the destruction covers more than 50% of each village. Must be completed within 14 years.
Reward: Exemption from Rebirth and Coin of Life (one-time use only).
Eliminate All Five Kage and Every Akatsuki Member
Objective: Complete within 10 years.
Reward: Mastery over all chakra types and possession of all Kekkei Genkai.
Akuma stared at the screen, his expression unreadable. A slow, almost amused smirk crept onto his face.
"Protect… destroy… kill," he whispered, the contrast between the missions settling in his mind like a puzzle waiting to be solved.
His eyes lingered on the third mission, the reward almost intoxicating—mastery over all chakra types and possession of all Kekkei Genkai. A prize fit for a god.
But Akuma quickly dismissed the idea.
Too good to be true.
The mission was, quite frankly, insane. Even with the promise of such overwhelming power, the task was almost impossible. Defeat all five Kage and every Akatsuki member within 10 years? Ridiculous.
Even if I had 18 years, it'd still be nearly impossible, Akuma thought, his smirk fading into a more serious frown. It'd take me at least two years just to walk properly in this new body. By the time I'd be physically capable, I'd still be a child facing legends.
The reality was harsh—this mission wasn't just difficult; it was practically a death sentence. It was like the system was telling him, "Hey, defeat every major powerhouse in the Naruto universe… as a 10-year-old."
Akuma chuckled dryly, shaking his head. "No thanks. I'm reckless, not suicidal."
His focus shifted back to the other missions, his mind already calculating the best path forward.
Survive first. Then conquer.
That was Akuma's mantra, etched deep into his soul. He knew that if he died even once, it wouldn't be the end—it would be eternal hell. That fear wasn't just a possibility; it was a certainty. That's why his first goal was simple: avoid anything reckless or foolish.
With that mindset, he quickly dismissed the idea of picking Mission #1.
Sure, it was more doable than Mission #3, but that didn't make it easy. Becoming Hokage wasn't just about strength—it was a political battlefield filled with hidden threats. Danzo was a perfect example, a snake lurking in the shadows, scheming for power. Plus, Konohagakure wasn't exactly the safest place to protect. It was one of the most frequently attacked villages in the entire Naruto world, a constant target for powerhouses.
Even with Naruto's help, protecting the village would be an endless struggle. Worse, there was no guarantee Akuma wouldn't die trying to save others. And dying even once was a risk he couldn't afford.
Protecting is harder than destroying.
That's why his choice was obvious.
Mission #2.
It gave him more flexibility for future missions. If he succeeded, he wouldn't have to be reborn as an infant again—a humiliating experience he'd rather not repeat. Plus, the reward was priceless: the Coin of Life, a one-time use item that could save him from death. An extra life. A safety net.
Most importantly, destruction was easier than protection.
Protecting required patience, selflessness, and constant vigilance.
But destroying?
All it took was power and the will to use it.
Sure, it wouldn't be easy. Wiping out more than 50% of the five great villages in just 14 years was a tall order. But Akuma was confident. Ruthless efficiency was in his blood.
A cold smirk curled on his lips.
"Let the world burn."
