Seeing that Lü Man meant no harm, and worried for Mo Yu's safety, Qing Lin agreed to join the Heavenly Serpent Mansion on the condition that Lü Man would help Mo Yu.

Lü Man, surprised that a young boy would provoke the Black Lizard Demon Serpent King, nevertheless agreed to the deal without hesitation. After all, dealing with a sixth-tier magical beast was challenging, but securing the willing loyalty of someone with Qing Lin's abilities made it worth the risk.

However, she hadn't anticipated the involvement of the Mu Lan Valley.

In the Mu Lan Empire, the Mu Lan Valley held significant sway, enough that even the Heavenly Serpent Mansion had to tread carefully.

On the other side, the Elder Lion seemed to read into their conversation. He cast a dark, menacing look toward Lü Man and barked, "Who are you? I advise you not to meddle in this matter. In the Mu Lan Empire, a word from Mu Lan Valley can make your life very difficult!"

Lü Man's expression shifted, her eyes flickering as she weighed the benefits and risks of offending the Mu Lan Valley.

Seeing this, the perceptive Qing Lin immediately spoke up, her face tense as she addressed Lü Man. "Sister Lü Man, if anything happens to the young master, I will never join the Heavenly Serpent Mansion, even if I die!"

"Sorry, Elder Lion, but I'll be protecting this youth today!" Lü Man declared firmly as she turned to face the Elder Lion.

"Oh?" he responded indifferently, his voice cold. "It doesn't matter who you are, but with your strength, I doubt you have the qualifications to make such a claim."

He could sense that this woman's strength was around the six-star Dou Huang level. As one of the Mu Lan Valley's Three Elders, with his own peak Dou Huang strength and a sixth-tier magical beast at his side, he didn't think her interference would change much—perhaps it would only complicate things a little.

Its forked tongue flicked out as its tail lashed, sending the deadly black spikes shooting toward Lü Man, completely sealing off any escape routes.

The figure shot across the sky, as Elder Lion's fist, infused with terrifying azure Dou Qi and the raw power of a primordial lion king, smashed toward the green-robed woman.

With Elder Lion in front and black spikes behind, the green-robed woman paused momentarily before stomping her foot. The sound of cracking echoed as the stone beneath her shattered, forming a stone wall.

Simultaneously, the woman extended her right hand, releasing five emerald-green thorn-like energy whips that shot out from her fingertips. The whips danced through the air, encircling her body, deflecting the incoming black spikes.

Elder Lion's fist smashed through the stone wall, shattering it to dust. His expression remained unchanged as he twisted his hands and suddenly rose up, appearing like a flash above the green-robed woman.

His fist, brimming with a terrifying amount of Dou Qi, whistled through the air, landing heavily on the woman's shoulder.

"Bang!"

The impact made Lü Man grunt softly. Clutching her shoulder, she landed on another boulder.

At this moment, Lü Man's aura was far more chaotic than before. Clearly, the blow from a peak Dou Huang expert wasn't easy to withstand.

"As expected of the Mu Lan Valley Elders... Even one of them is this difficult to deal with. I can't imagine what it would be like if all three fought together—perhaps killing a Dou Zong is no empty boast," the green-robed woman said with a hint of apprehension after taking the punch. She raised her right hand, and a massive green energy beam shot toward the elder's chest.

Not long after the whistle sounded, a thunderous roar erupted from a distant forest. A massive beast, nearly 34m long, soared into the sky and flew toward them, casting a huge shadow over the ground.

The beast's body was extremely slender, resembling a serpent-like magical beast. Its speed was astonishingly fast, almost like it was teleporting as it flicked its giant tail, closing the distance between itself and the green-robed woman in a few blinks.
