Chapter 254
I thought I should quickly take care of my business and chase him away before I caused any trouble.
“Why did you come to see me?”
“You misunderstood. I didn’t come here to see you. We just ran into each other by chance.”
He was here for something other than me?
“Why did you come here?”
“Unconfirmed data…” Ozworld began to explain honestly but then raised an eyebrow. “You’re pretty bold with your questions now. I almost answered without thinking.”
“You can ask me questions if you’re curious about something.”
As I retorted as if it were a fair trade, Ozworld chuckled.
“You’re getting cuter by the day.”
He made a displeasing comment, shrugged, and looked around.
“Anyway, it seems what I was looking for isn’t here. I should return to the Pantheon.”
There was a sense of boredom in his voice when he mentioned the Pantheon.
Now that I think about it, the Ozworld I hadn’t seen in a while seemed reminiscent of the early days when he transmigrated me to this place.
Maybe that’s why he’s more irritating today.
The arrogant boredom of someone who had everything and nothing new left. Those eyes exuded an overwhelming and sinister aura. Just meeting his gaze made my skin tingle.
A primal fear crept up on me. No matter how strong I got, I was still just a weak prey to him. In fact, being stronger made me more objectively aware of that. He was a fuse ready to explode at any moment. On the surface, he seemed calm, but his eyes conveyed the dangerous certainty that if you crossed a line, he would be mercilessly violent.
Despite this, I grabbed his sleeve. His bored gaze flicked from my hand and back to my face.
“Do you have something to say?”
“I have something to ask. Are you here for Damian?”
Ozworld came here to check on something where Damian had clearly been. I was sure it was related to Damian. No, it was more than that. I couldn’t shake the feeling that Ozworld was the reason Damian, who should have disappeared in the dungeon, appeared in reality.
“Did you come here because of Damian? What exactly is this unconfirmed data? Did you bring Damian from the dungeon into reality?”
“Too many questions.” Ozworld, looking annoyed, dropped my hand from his sleeve. “If you want answers, you need to make it worth my while.”
“What do you want?”
“What do you think I want?”
He openly displayed a bored expression. His condescending gaze, as if to say, ‘What could you possibly offer?’ made my blood boil.
I had nothing to offer. He was the emperor and the most prominent channel manager in the Pantheon; nothing I had would catch his eye. So, his question had only one intention. Know your place. Just like when he reminded me I was a toy for the constellations, it was the same now.
When I couldn’t answer, Ozworld brushed my wet hair back as if petting a cute puppy. “As expected, you understand well.” He looked at me with satisfaction, saying he liked that.
I felt like his pet. My anxious and uneasy feelings gradually turned into something else. I wanted to screw this man over. It was a habitual thought, not a new one. But today, that thought overwhelmed me like a disease.
Ozworld, preparing to leave, checked his pocket watch and then grabbed my chin, kissing my cheek. “Well then.”
As his lips parted from my cheek.
“…!”
I pulled his head toward me and kissed him harshly. His eyes widened, dark ocean-like eyes rippling. Even though it was a small change, I felt a chilling thrill.
For the first time, Ozworld froze at my action. And for the first time, I had emotional superiority. The excitement surged up to my head, making my toes curl.
Wrapping my hands around his head so that he couldn’t escape, twisting it to deepen the kiss. Our noses rubbed messily. My rain-soaked face left water streaks on his flawless face. And my ragged breaths covered him.
Could this noble man endure the vulgarity of a toy rubbing its lips against his? I hoped he found it unpleasant. I wanted him to find it disgusting enough to want to kill me.
When Ozworld claimed to be my male protagonist, did he anticipate this scenario? What was his goal? If his goal was to torment and break me, I was willing to descend into chaos with him. After all, kissing him first meant my mind was already broken.
Our lips parted with a wet sound.
“
Haa
, now will you answer my questions…
mm
…”
I tried to propose the kiss as a trade but couldn’t finish. Ozworld followed my retreat, invading my mouth deeply. When I lunged, he seemed stiff, but his demeanor changed in an instant.
Under the umbrella, he focused entirely on savoring my breath, pulling me close with one arm. The sticky sound between us was louder than the rain on the muddy ground. But I didn’t run away. Instead, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
Ozworld’s expensive suit got soaked because of me. He seemed to have a pretty neat personality, but he lifted me up to wrap my legs around his waist for better access, perhaps uncomfortable because of the high difference. Soon, a wooden trunk touched my back. The umbrella was discarded, rolling on the ground before I knew it.
His fervent kisses were amusing. I felt a perverse sense of victory over Ozworld, who danced to my tune.
The foolish notion that he had become my toy, reacting to every touch, crossed my mind. I felt euphoria bubbling up. It was laughable how he lost his mind over a mere kiss. Did he realize his cherished pocket watch was now covered in mud?
Ozworld’s rough hands loosened my braided hair. His eagerness delighted me, filling me with a sense of triumph as if I had won a crucial match. The ecstasy was so intense I feared becoming addicted to it. Perhaps that’s why I prolonged the kiss, which I would have normally ended earlier. We clung to each other like passionate lovers, exploring each other’s bodies.
The kiss, which felt like it would last forever, finally ended. It wasn’t me who stopped but Ozworld. He cradled the back of my head, gasping with the look I had never seen before.
“
Gasp, gasp…
” I, too, panted heavily, my chest rising and falling rapidly.
Ozworld brushed his rain-soaked golden hair back. His cold face revealed irritation and lingering desire. The vein bulging at his temple showed how much he was holding back.
Still pressed close, I spoke. “I think I’ve paid enough now.”
Ozworld reacted with a cynical smile. “You weren’t like this before. Seems you’ve gotten used to men, Miss Theresa.”
“Thanks to you.”
Ozworld laughed with a bitter sound. “Fine. Let’s be direct since we’re short on time.”
He set me down and held his palm out. The pocket watch, now clean, fell neatly into his hand.
“In the dungeon, Damian made a deal with me to become the real one. It’s similar to making a pact with a demon according to this world’s rules. But he’s not classified as a demon contractor.”
“So?”
“He’s subject to the penalties like a BJ would receive.”
This meant Damian would face the punishment of falling into the worst hell.
“Damian agreed to that. So the contract was made cleanly.”
I accepted this with a heavy heart and asked my next question. “Then why did you come here?”
“As I said, unconfirmed data was found. I don’t know if it’s related to Damian.”
Our conversation was extremely businesslike despite the passionate kiss we just shared. But the air was charged. There was a peculiar tension that hadn’t been there before the kiss. I felt that just a slight touch could make us cling to each other and kiss again. That’s how precarious the atmosphere was.
Ozworld checked his pocket watch again and sighed quietly. “That’s all for your questions.”
He habitually bowed slightly before retreating. It seemed he had intended to kiss my cheek but refrained. Instead, he touched my hair.
“It would be better to fix your hair before you meet the imperial wizards.”
Snap!
With that absurd statement, he snapped his fingers and vanished.
