 Deborah's POV

 The girls stared at me in shock as they both shared a look of disbelieve.Deborah they knew was not one to turn down a means to be competitive .

AY:you are not really going for any of the positions.not even headgirl?you have always wanted to be headgirl.

Deborah:That a past dream .I might reconsider but right now I am not interested.guys leave that ,Ay tell me about the cute guy.(I changed topics).

AY:OMG ,guys he his everything(she sighed happily)

 ^debby and Ella shared a look and laughed ^

 Just then some set of girls walked into the class all attentions turned to them. Deborah and her friends watched as they walked to some empty seat while chatting and laughing 

AY:No way,shindara is using the latest iPhone 14 (she moaned dramatically).

Emmanuella:I heard she held a birthday party during the holiday and it was so lit.they were literally no parents around 

AY:lucky her,dad won't even agree to let me invite as much people as I want. 

Deborah:please...she probably just faking all this things(I rolled my eyes)

AY:you of all people know that not what it is (she grinned).

Deborah:can we just concentrate on ...….

Shindara:attention everybody ....yes looks at me ,thank you.I will be going for the post of head girl and I had like you all to vote for me and I promise you ,you won't regret it .thank you.

Students:(they clap and hail her)

Deborah:who does she think she is to go for that post.didn't she know I was going for that post(I scoffed)

AY:(raises an eyebrow)didn't you just say you weren't going for any post ?

Deborah:like I said I could change my mind and I have.

Teacher:(walks in)okay student hood morning.I would be your class teacher for the semester .please bring out your textbook let do something.

 *break*

Deborah:that was hectic guys .I'm super hungry (I groaned)what are we having?

AY:not much ,I'm watching my weight .I don't wanna look to bad

Deborah:you haven't shown us his picture ,let me see.

AY: relax (she scrolled through her phone and showed it to us)

Deborah:wow he is so cuteeeeee(I emphasized)

AY:yeah.and he his much cooler than tayo

Emmanuella:don't even go there .I like him that way cool or not he his great .at least I have someone unlike.....

Deborah:you guys i choose not to date ,can you not bother me with your love life?

AY:we all know it because you like Kenneth 

Deborah:(paused footstep)

 "Kenneth Macaulay ,the only guy I have ever had a crush on .he his seventeen ,darkskinned ,tall and he his soon to be ex head boy .he his also in sss3 .ever since the day he smiled at me during my presentation in sss1 .I have always felt butterflies in my belly whenever I set eyes on him but I hid to myself and only told my two best friends .

Deborah:big mouth don't let people hear you say that(I slapped her lips)

AY: I am sorry ,it was a slip of tongued (we walked into the cafeteria and got ourselves some junks and had our seat in one of the empty chairs )

Deborah:guys look(I tapped AYO as Kenneth walked in with some boys in class)how fun do you think it would be if he just walked over here(I daydreamed)

Emmanuella:tayo(she called and waved at him)

 Tayo:(also in ss3 and happened to amongst the group of boys Debby was referring to walked over to the girls)hey ladies.hey babe(he hugged her)

Emmanuella:I haven't seen you all day(she pout)

Tayo:I'm sorry .we have been busy all day remeber we will be writing our waec this year .have you had something to eat?

Emmanuella:yeah ,I bought junks 

Tayo:junks not good.are you sure that would be enough .let me get you something else 

Emmanuella:but I'm okay (she protested)

Tayo:relax.kenneth(he called and signaled for him to come over )what would you girls like to take?(he asked)

 My whole attention was on Kenneth who was walking Over to where we sat.who said prayers weren't answered in time.
