Chapter 9: Earthquake
Chapter 8
The ground rumbled throwing everyone off balance, some panicked trying to get cover, some were gathering their families, and some looking for shelter.
The alpha started calling on the guards, he ran towards the party like a headless chicken.
The alpha dances about the hall as if he had two left feet, some guards stumbled to him to hold him up when he fell, they held him tightly to stop him from making a fool out of himself.
" Everyone, take cover! carry the children, everyone gets to safety, guards protect the perimeter, go go go!"
He anxiously ran everywhere shouting orders to everyone. He ordered the guards by his side to Warn everybody and check if any were injured.
After walking around he made sure everything was in order and that everyone was alright, the injured ones were taken to the pack hospital, they were not seriously injured though, just minor scratches from Falling objects,
He saw his son stumbling by when he suddenly remembered something he stopped whatever he was doing before making his way to the dungeons by himself when he got to the dungeon the earthquake had ended and nothing too drastic happened
But
Something was wrong...
Diamond stumbled about in the hallways, he went left and right holding onto the walls, and he became dizzy with all the dancing about.
But what caused the earthquake?
But they have never had any of those natural disasters before, not even flooding, how come there's an earthquake now of all times, does it have anything to do with his mate?
As soon as that thought crossed his mind a large picture of himself fell, it fell and hit him directly on his head, and some of the glasses pierced his shoulder, he howled and cradled his shoulder before making his way to the pack hospital.
He passed by his father to a hospital room with blood trailing after him.
Damon was running at full speed when the earthquake started, he widened his eyes in surprise when he saw a big tree suddenly fall in front of him.
He jumped backward in fright, he moved to the left and another tree fell there, he turned to the right and another tree fell in front.
He narrowed his eyes at the tree,
'what the heck is going on' he screamed in his mind when he was blocked on all sides by the trees.
The ground below his feet rumbled, and the soil cracked, he stepped back in fear before the crack could touch his feet, he kept walking back avoiding the cracks but it looked like the cracks had a mind of Their own, they followed him everywhere he went until he hesitantly had a change of plan.
When he turned his backward, the cracks surprisingly stopped,
'were the cracks alive, or was the earth fighting against him'
He turned to move forward and the cracks also moved, he widened his eyes in surprise, he better go back before the Earth opened up and swallowed him.
He carefully Walked back to the palace grounds, he would come back tomorrow.

In the dungeon, Lana easily pulled her hand out of the wall, chain and all when the earthquake started, she was surprised
' well this is new'
she thought as she walked to where she thought Cole would be, when she got to him, she was surprised to feel that he was already free and presently holding up his hands, she could already guess that he was Staring at them in wonder.
Cole raised his head and looked at her in amazement, he hissed at her when she came closer, she bent down and felt around his leg when she touched his ankle, she was surprised to know that they were very smooth but slim, she shook that thoughts out of her mind and yanked the chain from his ankle, she noticed a rough patch around the ankle.
She stood up and proceeded to reach for his neck, she noted that he was very tall, she yanked the chain from his neck, he rubbed his neck and hissed again, she turned to leave when she was suddenly hugged.
She patted his back before he released her, he was looking at her with shining eyes,
"You free now," she told to which he nodded.
" Let's get out of here" she instructed before turning to the door, she walked forward only to bump into the cell wall but it wasn't the door.
She rubbed her forehead and looked back at Cole
'' please help me'' she told,
Cole stared at her for a second before smiling, he held her hand before staring her in the right direction.
The door was locked
With a powerful kick, the door went flying out of its hinges.
Sometimes she was surprised by the extent of her powers, her dad was stronger though.
Cole held her as they made their way out, as she passed by the cells other creatures started whining pitifully, she was about to ignore them when Cole tugged at her, silently begging her with his eyes.
He walked to one of the doors and started hitting it but it won't budge.
He looked at her again and hissed
She sighed and shook her head,
" Guess I can't just leave" With that being said
Cole smiled happily before taking her to each of the doors, she started kicking the doors down, sometimes she pulled a door and flung it another door, she wandered with all that was going on down there no guard had come to check.
She shrugged her shoulders and faced the last door.
the last door was more secure than the others, it was made of heavy metal
What was in there that they had to use this kind of door?
Other creatures stood behind her waiting for her to kick it down and she did, but this time it was harder.
She kicked it once, and only a foot-sized dent was made, she huffed and kicked again, and the same foot-sized dent.
She kicked the third time but the door didn't budge, she didn't have much time left.
She used her hands to feel for locks and then started kicking them out.
When the door was finally open, she didn't hear any footsteps, no noise, nothing.
She waited but nothing came out so she turned her back to the door
As she took a step something wrapped around her wrist, she touched it, it was hard and had something like scales on it, she shrugged her shoulder and made her way out of the dungeon making small noises as she walk.
She hadn't gone too far when she felt Cole's hand on hers, he started guiding her out of the dungeon, the others were ahead of them.
She didn't know what they were, she heard slithering, hissing, growls, cackles, and swooshing but she couldn't pinpoint what they were.
