Beast Summoner World: The Poké-System Awakens

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Embers of Hope and Level 7

The cool breeze of the Forbidden Forest caressed his face as Kenji walked forward with a firm step, Charmander following closely behind, sniffing the ground with curiosity. The sun filtered through the leaves, creating a mosaic of light and shadow that danced around them. Kenji felt alive, full of energy and determination. His failure at the invocation test was behind him, replaced by a new hope, a new goal.

"We need to find some monsters to fight, Charmander," Kenji said, stopping in a clearing. "Something small, to start. We need to get you used to fighting."

Charmander nodded, wagging its little fire tail enthusiastically. It seemed eager to test its abilities.

Kenji scanned the surroundings, looking for any sign of life. Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes. A small, furry creature scurried out, with sharp fangs and short claws. It was a "Minimole," a common type of monster in the Forbidden Forest, but not dangerous enough to attract the attention of Beast Warriors.

"There it is!" Kenji exclaimed, pointing at the Minimole. "That'll be our first opponent."

Charmander looked at the Minimole with a challenging gaze. It was ready for battle.

"Alright, Charmander," Kenji said. "Remember what I told you. We need to be strategic. Analyze your opponent, look for its weaknesses, and attack hard."

Kenji pulled his phone out of his pocket and opened the Pokédex. He searched for information about the Minimole, but found nothing. "Guess I'll have to figure it out for myself," he murmured.

Just before the battle began, a Pokémon System window appeared in front of Kenji, displaying Charmander's stats and abilities:

Charmander

Level: 5

Type: Fire

HP: 25/25

Attack: 6

Defense: 4

Special Attack: 6

Special Defense: 5

Speed: 7

Moves:

Tackle

Growl

Kenji quickly analyzed the information. Charmander was fast and had good attack, but its defense was low. He would have to prevent the Minimole from hitting it.

"Charmander," Kenji said. "Use Tackle!"

Charmander nodded and charged at the Minimole, ramming into it with all its might. The Minimole went flying through the air, crashing against a tree.

"Well done, Charmander!" Kenji exclaimed. "Now, attack it again!"

Charmander prepared to attack again, but the Minimole quickly got up and ran towards it, biting it on the paw.

"Charmander!" Kenji shouted, worried.

Charmander whimpered in pain, but didn't give up. It shook off the Minimole and glared at it.

"Use Growl!" Kenji ordered. "Lower its attack!"

Charmander nodded and used Growl, unleashing a menacing cry that made the Minimole back away.

"Now, use Tackle again!" Kenji shouted.

Charmander seized the opportunity and rammed the Minimole with Tackle, sending it flying through the air once more. This time, the Minimole didn't get up. It lay on the ground, unconscious.

"We did it!" Kenji exclaimed, jumping for joy. "We won, Charmander!"

Charmander responded with a proud roar, wagging its fire tail enthusiastically.

Kenji ran towards Charmander and hugged it tightly. "You were amazing," he said. "You're the best."

Suddenly, a Pokémon System window appeared in front of Kenji, announcing:

Charmander has leveled up!

Level: 7

Charmander has learned the move Ember!

Kenji's jaw dropped. "No way!" he exclaimed. "Charmander learned Ember!"

He looked at Charmander in amazement. The little Fire-type Pokémon glowed with a new energy.

"Try it, Charmander!" Kenji said. "Use Ember!"

Charmander nodded and opened its mouth, unleashing a small burst of flame towards a nearby tree. The tree instantly caught fire, burning fiercely.

Kenji was awestruck. Charmander's power had increased considerably.

"Incredible!" he exclaimed. "Ember is a really powerful move!"

Charmander strutted around, wagging its fire tail proudly. It seemed to be enjoying its new power.

Kenji smiled. He knew that Charmander had great potential. With time and training, it could become a formidable warrior.

"Alright, Charmander," Kenji said. "Let's keep training. We need to get you used to using Ember."

Charmander nodded and prepared to attack. It was ready to face any challenge that came its way.

Kenji looked at his partner with pride. He knew he had a long way to go, but he was sure that together they could overcome any obstacle.

The Forbidden Forest had become their training ground, the place where they would forge their destiny.

Kenji and Charmander ventured further into the forest, ready to continue training and discover new secrets. The embers of hope burned brightly in their hearts.
