Baby Princess’ Survival Diary

Chapter 35

The tea party was more tiring than I thought. To be exact, it was tiring to prepare a tea party.

“What shall we do with this, Lady?”

“Um… I think it would be better to clean up since Viscount’s Young Lady Jaina is coming today. Because she hates Dot.”

 “Yes. I’ll put it away.”

I nodded my head and stretched out on the sofa.

I sighed as I watched the maids busily preparing for the tea party.

 – You’re tired, right?

 “A little…”

I responded slightly to Serina’s words. I was more tired than I thought.

I even thought that it would be better to practice swordsmanship or divine power.

As the guests changed little by little every time, there were more than one or two things to pay attention to differently every time.

In order not to invite the Young Lady or the Lady who was not on good terms with each other, I had to work hard.

It was because it wasn’t polite to not invite the guests for too long as I regularly hold tea parties.

These days, I couldn’t sleep well because I prepared until late every day.

“Why don’t we reduce the time of the tea party?”

I shook my head at my brother’s words.

It’s only been three months since I started.

I couldn’t reduce the number of times already.

 “It’s all right. Not yet.”

“You always say it’s okay, so I’m worried.”

“I’m not overdoing it. Don’t worry.”

“Nuna always says it’s okay even if you’re overdoing it.”

 “…Not anymore.”

“Last year, you said you were fine, but you fell down after pushing yourself too hard.”

 “….”

I had nothing to say, so I kept my mouth shut.

Last year, there was a time when I was nervous and secretly practiced by myself and collapsed.

Jessie later sobbed and said that she thought the Duke would sink underground.

Driane and my father were very angry, Jerion cried, and Oraboni looked at me without saying a word.

“I told you I’d never do that again.”

 “Yeah, I believe in Nuna.”

said Jerion, with an incredulous look on his face.

Oraboni didn’t seem to believe it either.

 “It’s true—!”

 “Yeah, I believe you.”

 “I also believe in Nuna.”

Neither of them seemed to believe me.

 ******

“I’m worried if you’re overdoing it.”

Everyone nodded at the words of Countess Inia.

“Thank you for taking care of us, but preparing for a tea party is a little tiring. Of course, it’s fun to meet everyone.”

Viscount’s Young Lady Jenna, who nodded at the Countess’ words, continued.

“It’s not that hard to prepare because I’m happy to be with everyone.”

Yesterday, I received worries from Oraboni and Jerion, but today I was embarrassed to know that the invited guests were also worried about me.

 “I’m really fine.”

“May I ask you a moment?”

 “Yes. It’s okay.”

The Countess Royne cautiously reached out and placed her hand on my forehead.

 “Countess—?”

 “You have a fever.”

 “Yes?”

Startled, I rubbed my forehead. It was a little warm, but it didn’t seem like I had a fever.

 – Did you have a fever?!

Serina came to me in surprise. So did Driane and Nadia.

The Countess who looked at my expression continued.

“You have a slight fever. It looks like you have a cold.”

 “Is that so—?”

 I think it’s okay.

I looked at her in embarrassment, and she smiled kindly.

“Young Ladies may not know it, but I am also sensitive to fever because I am raising children.”

“No wonder. I thought the princess’ face was a little red today, so she had a slight fever.”

At the words of the Lady, all the Ladies with children nodded.

Embarrassed, I quickly moved away from Young Ladies and Ladies. (T/n : Ladies in here is the woman who’s already married.)

 “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t move it.”

When I couldn’t get rid of my frustration, everyone approached me.

 “Colds don’t spread that easily.”

“Of course. It’s still early, so take your medicine and rest, and you’ll get well soon.”

“You must have been busy these days, so it’s easy to catch a cold.”

“I think it’s better to call it a day. You should rest.”

Everyone nodded at the words of Countess Royne.

“I’m sorry that I ended up like this after inviting you.”

They all shook their heads, saying no. They left the mansion one by one, saying that they would send a good health food with a worried expression.

After realizing it, I felt really dizzy.

 – Let’s go in and rest.

[Yeah. You should drink something warm, too.]

 [Should I bring it?]

[Don’t you need divine power to bring it? Stay still.]

 [Ung…]

 Nadia drooped.

I felt sorry for it so I tried to hug Nadia, but Oraboni approached me.

“The tea party ended early today.”

“They said I have a fever.”

At my words, Oraboni came to me at once and hugged me.

 Oraboni’s forehead touched my forehead.

The cold forehead touched it and it felt like I really have a fever.

“You really have a slight fever.”

Oraboni hurried into the mansion and ordered the servant who stood out to call a doctor.

 “I should have noticed—”

“It’s my body, of course I should have known—. I’m sorry, Oraboni.”

“It’s nothing to be sorry about.”

Oraboni arrived at my room with a stiff look on his face.

“She have a fever, so help her get ready quickly.”

 “Yes!”

Jessie hurriedly went into the dressing room and brought my pajamas.

I went down from my brother’s arms, changed my clothes, and came back.

Perhaps he had been to the kitchen, but Oraboni offered me a warm cup of tea.

[Baby, hurry up and lie down on the bed]

 – Yeah. Hurry.

 Driane and Serina helped quickly.

Serina lifted the blanket and saw her hand passing through, sighed and nodded at Nadia.

 Nadia dug into the blanket.

 “You must be Nadia.”

 “Yes.”

I went inside the blanket that Nadia had spread out and grabbed the tea my brother had gave me.

Then the door burst open and my father came in.

 “You have a fever?”

My father walked up to me and put his hand on my forehead.

“I have a slight fever, so it’s still okay, father.”

“You seem to be working too hard these days—”

My father lowered his head with a miserable expression.

It’s not that painful. He seemed to be very concerned, so I quickly opened my mouth.

“I’m all right. It’s just a slight fever.”

“I should have paid more attention—”

My father covered me with a blanket a little more and was upset. Since I had been sick in the past, everyone was sensitive to me when I was sick.

Just as I was going to say it again, Jerion rushed over.

 “Nuna!”

 I sighed a little.

Only after being diagnosed with a mild cold by the doctor, my father, brother, and Jerion went back to their respective rooms.

It’s just that I have a slight fever, but I was worried again because I thought they were overly concerned.

 “I must get better soon.”

 – Yeah. My heart is going to drop.

Serina answered my words. Serina sighed as she put her translucent hand on my forehead.

 – I can’t recognize it because I can’t feel it.

 “I’m really all right.”

[Baby, cover yourself with the blanket properly]

As soon as I was about to say that it was okay at Driane’s words, Nadia took a blanket and covered me with its mouth.

 – We’ll sleep on the balcony today. So be comfortable.

Serina, knowing that I was perplexed by the excessive worry, led Driane and Nadia to the balcony.

As it became quiet everywhere, I quickly fell asleep. It seemed like I was really sick.

 ******

 I got goosebumps.

I got goosebumps rather than cold.

My toes were shriveled and my hands were sweaty.

Eventually, I opened my eyes. I couldn’t fall asleep.

When I removed the blanket, I saw goosebumps growing on my arms.

 “What is this—?”

I was thirsty. My back of the neck was cold.

[It seems that the baby’s divine powers have become very sensitive.]

Perhaps saw me wake up, Driane flew from the balcony.

I saw Serina and Nadia sleeping behind Driane.

 “It’s cold—”

Driane flew over and covered me with a blanket.

 “It’s strange…”

Driane sighed and opened its mouth.

[It is the energy of demons.]

 “Did the demons wake up?”

When I got up in surprise, Driane shook its head.

[The demons is not awake yet]

“Driane said that magi spreads when demons awaken.”

[Yes it was. However, with the current level of energy, it can’t be considered that demon has woken up yet.]

 “Then?”

[In terms of people… How can I explain it?]

After agonizing for a while, Driane covered me with a blanket again and continued.

[It’ll be like tossing and turning]

It was a creepy energy that woke me up.

I was scared that this energy was barely tossing and turning.

[Baby, lips. This isn’t because the demon’s energy is strong, but because the baby’s divine power is sensitive, so you feels the demon excessively. Don’t be afraid.]

Driane said sternly, perhaps because I unconsciously biting my lips.

I relaxed my strength quickly from my lips.

“Does that mean that it’s not long before the demons wake up?”

[5 years. There’s nothing to worry about for 5 years.]

 “Ung…”

I was relieved at Driane’s affirmation. I knew that my skills weren’t good enough to deal with demons yet.

I don’t know what I’ll be like in five years, but I’m glad I have the hope that I’ll be better than I am now.

[Hurry up and sleep more. I’ll put up a barrier for you.]

 “Ung. Thank you…”

I felt a slight escape of the divine power.

There was a translucent barrier in the bedroom.

 Goosebumps and tiredness disappeared.

[Go to sleep more. Don’t have a bad dream. Let the pain go away]

 “Ung. Driane should sleep too.”

 [Yeah.]

Driane sat down next to me and lay down, feeling worried.

I closed my eyes and let go of my worries. When Driane said 5 years was okay means that after 5 years we never knew when it would wake up.

I pressed down my fear and closed my eyes tightly.

 Five years.

 There are five years left.
