Chapter 234: Alex vs Vorsak, The Tower of Destiny Final Battle
[Vorsak, Dragon of Destiny - Level 1,000]
[HP: 1,000,000,000]
[Skills: Thunder Beam, Golden Wind, Inferno Breath, Dragon's Roar, Destiny Slash, Celestial Charge, Divine Barrier, World Quake, Lightning Tempest, Scales of Eternity.]
The air between Alex and Vorsak crackled with tension as the battle began.
The dragon loomed over him, its golden scales gleaming like a fortress of light.
Despite the overwhelming difference in size and power, Alex's grip on his staff tightened.
His left hand flexed, the deadly [Bleeding Claws] glowing faintly with crimson energy.
He had no allies left.
No fox summons since they were sucked into Alice's black hole.
No Alice or Aurelia to support him since the God of Destiny wanted to make it a fair one on one.
Just himself and his sheer determination.
"Rise," Alex commanded, his voice sharp and commanding.
The ground beneath him quaked as a wave of energy surged outward.
[+80 Skeletons, +13 Grand Skeletons, +4 Bony Knights, +3 Spectral Wraiths]
The undead army rose to the surface, their bones rattling and spectral forms flickering in readiness.
But Vorsak's golden eyes narrowed.
"Insects."
The dragon opened its massive maw, and a torrent of fire erupted.
[Inferno Breath]
The blazing inferno roared across the battlefield, engulfing the undead entirely.
The searing flames melted bones, dissipated wraiths, and left nothing but ash in their wake.
Alex leapt back, narrowly avoiding the brunt of the attack, but the heat licked at his skin, searing through his defenses and leaving burns on his arms.
Vorsak let out a rumbling groan. "I'll use it again if you try to summon them. Don't waste my time."
Alex cursed under his breath.
He was on his own now, truly.
His only possible help left were the [Heart of Calamity], [Alphox, The Primordial Shadow Dragon], and the [Undead King].
He wasn't sure if any of them would help in this situation, though.
Revealing themselves to a God was the worst kind of ideas anyone could have.
But that didn't mean he'd give up.
Lightning surged through Alex's body as he activated his first skill.
Fury of Thunder!
The sky above trembled, and three bolts of lightning streaked down, striking Vorsak's massive frame.
Each strike crackled with raw power, dealing low damage.
It wasn't enough to make the dragon flinch, but it was a start.
[You cannot stun this being.]
"Damn it," Alex thought he could do that and end the fight quickly, but looks like not.
Vorsak grinned, unfazed. "Pathetic."
The dragon's massive wings spread wide, sending a gust of golden wind spiraling through the arena.
Golden Wind!
Alex planted his claws into the ground, bracing himself as the wind howled around him.
His boots slid across the grass as the force of the attack pushed him back, the golden energy slicing at his exposed skin.
-36,384! -26,958!
Blood dripped from fresh cuts on his arms and legs, but Alex didn't stop.
He raised his staff, golden chains erupting from it.
Heaven's Chains!
One hundred radiant chains shot forward, wrapping tightly around Vorsak's legs and wings.
The dragon roared, his movements slowing as the chains glowed brighter, holding him in place.
The chains pulsed with power.
-1,694,378!
'It worked?'
Alex instantly dashed forward, ready to at least hit him twice with [Bleeding Claws].
But Vorsak growled, his eyes narrowing, "Impressive. But not enough."
The dragon's claws glowed with golden light as he slashed downward.
Destiny Slash!
The attack shattered the chains instantly, the backlash sending Alex flying across the arena.
He hit the ground hard, pain radiating through his body, but he forced himself to his feet.
From above, the God of Destiny watched intently, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Each time Alex or Vorsak landed a blow, the golden scale hovering above the arena added a glowing sphere to one side.
For what reason, neither fighter knew.
Even Vorsak's confident demeanor wavered slightly as he glanced at the scale.
The unknown purpose behind it only heightened the tension of the battle.
Alex wiped blood from his mouth.
"Blood Arts, help me out!"
Blood Blades! Giant Blood Blades!
He used all of his dripping blood to create 8 [Blood Blades], and one [Giant Blood Blade] that he hurled at the dragon.
He didn't feel like getting close when the dragon wasn't restrained.
Sending all of the blades toward the dragon, he expected at least some sort of damage.
But...
Divine Barrier!
Vorsak raised his wing, and it turned completely golden, all of the attacks hitting it shattering or deflecting to the ground.
"Weak."
Arc of Divinity!
Alex didn't give up.
A massive wave of golden energy burst forth from his staff, streaking toward the dragon.
The attack hit Vorsak square in the chest, the explosion of light forcing him back a few steps.
-8,009,916!
[+1 Golden Sphere for FateBreaker.]
[:)]
Both Alex and Vorsak could sense that whatever the fuck was happening with this scale wasn't going to be good.
The dragon growled in annoyance.
"That's more like it," Vorsak muttered, his massive frame smoking from the attack.
Alex didn't give him a chance to recover.
Zeus' Storm!
A deafening roar of thunder echoed through the void above as a massive lightning storm descended upon the battlefield.
Bolts of lightning rained down in rapid succession, striking Vorsak repeatedly.
Each bolt dealt 30,000,000 damage, the sheer force lighting up the arena in brilliant flashes of white and blue.
But Vorsak wasn't done.
With a mighty roar, he launched himself into the air, his golden scales reflecting the light of the storm.
His wings flapped with incredible force, dispersing the storm entirely.
Celestial Charge
The dragon dived toward Alex with blinding speed, his entire body glowing with golden energy.
Alex barely managed to dodge, rolling to the side as the dragon crashed into the ground, sending shockwaves rippling through the arena.
The impact alone dealt damage, forcing Alex to his knees.
Three rocks hit Alex lightly on the chest after the impact.
[+3 Golden Spheres for Vorsak.]
"SERIOUSLY?!" Alex shouted.
He gasped for breath.
Both him and Vorsak would have enjoyed a fair one on one fight, but the presence of this god ruined everything.
He couldn't afford to waste another attack.
Vorsak smirked, his claws glowing as he prepared his next move.
World Quake!
The ground beneath Alex's feet rumbled violently.
Massive cracks spread across the arena as the earth itself rose and fell, throwing him off balance.
He stumbled, barely avoiding the jagged spikes of rock erupting around him.
Through the chaos, Alex's left hand pulsed with energy.
It was as if... it gave him a signal.
'An opportunity!' Alex's eyes widened.
Bleeding Claws!
He surged forward while the dragon was busy with his skill, slashing at Vorsak with deadly precision.
-68,365,500!
The glowing claws tore into the dragon's scales, leaving deep, crimson gashes.
Vorsak roared in pain, his massive tail whipping around to swat Alex away.
The strike sent Alex flying, his body crashing into the arena wall.
He groaned, pushing himself back to his feet, his vision swimming.

[+1 Golden Sphere for both.]
Despite the pain, he smirked.
"You felt that, didn't you?"
Vorsak growled, blood dripping from the wounds on his chest.
"You're persistent. I'll give you that."
The God of Destiny chuckled softly.
[Well.]
The god's voice echoed through the arena, drawing the attention of both fighters.
[Let's kick things up a notch.]
"Huh?"
"What?"
He snapped his fingers.
Nothing happened immediately, but Alex felt a chill run down his spine.
Vorsak's wings twitched as he glanced around warily.
'Fuck that.'
The dragon let out a deep rumble, shaking off his unease.
He opened his maw wide, a deafening roar shaking the arena.
Dragon's Roar!
Two smaller dragons materialized beside him, their scales shimmering with the same golden light.
"It seems I'll have to intervene too, heh?"
Alex's eyes widened as a familiar voice echoed above him.
[Alphox, Primordial Shadow Dragon - Level 600]
A massive shadow fell over the arena as Alphox descended, his dark wings spreading wide.
Alex looked up, relief washing over him.
Alphox smirked. "You didn't think I'd let you have all the fun, did you?"
The God of Destiny's golden eyes glimmered with amusement.
[Oh?]
[Go on.]
They both feared that calling others for help would anger the God of Destiny, who would strike them down.
But it seemed that as long as Alex had another dragon to help him out, the god found it amusing enough.
They were in his territory, and both Alex and Vorsak needed to keep fighting.
