Chapter 72: Chapter 72
I think the hundred meter walls would be a good support, especially if they were fifty meters thick. Anyway, I scared people a little bit. And then the construction started. First I built greenhouses. It doesn't take much time to explain to the residents what they are and what to do with them. I made them on the wall. So that the sun would always be there.
The second thing was the sewer system. The backbone of every city. Without metal it was narrow, but I think in a few years, if there is money, it will be completely replaced by it. Nobody counted the money. And there was nothing to count.
After I had done that, I started with the houses. Here I had to sweat a lot. I ran to the sea for materials. And I walked a lot. A lot. Then I built schools. Hospitals. Day care centers. Stores. And of course houses. I decided to build skyscrapers. Like real masterpieces of design! But who am I kidding? It's just that I've loved high-tech houses since the last world. And not having them in that world, I had a blast in this one.
In two years, the island had been transformed. There was so much food, they couldn't sell it in time. We had to expand the harbor. We also made glass. Not the best in the world, but the cheapest. But even so, we made a lot of money selling it for next to nothing.
But what I'm proud of are the roads. And nobody understands my pride, but I am proud. I can say for sure that my roads better then in Germany.
I also realized my idea. I opened an orphanage. From five to seven years old. I took in a hundred children. Of course, I gave the warriors a full orientation beforehand. The first year was hard for them. Inexperience and ignorance could have ruined everything. I helped them with advice.
After a year, I took another hundred. And the commoners who didn't work in the greenhouses joined the warriors. It became easier. Everyone. Because many had children, and many women were willing to share their experiences. After another year I took another hundred.
I passed on much of my knowledge to children. Physics, Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry, Strength of Materials, Construction. Whatever I could squeeze out of myself, I gave to them. I also trained them. MA or magic. It didn't matter. I shared knowledge. They were mostly earth and fire magicians. But there were also a few water mages. And none with air magic. I trained them all.
What was special about my teaching was that I didn't teach history. Not at all. If you wanted to, you went to the library. No propaganda. One more year and I had two hundred kids. What's interesting is that a lot of kids wanted to study MA. They were attracted to it. And I was happy to do it. But after a few more years at that pace, I stopped teaching because there were too many people who wanted to learn. Instead, I wrote scrolls with step-by-step instructions. This freed up a lot of time and I was finally able to work on myself.
I've been trying to master fire magic by creating my own unique style. It's been a long road, but it's been worth it.
One day, I received a letter. From Aang. There's going to be some kind of summit about peace. The only question is, should I go or not? Hmm... I don't want to go, but it could affect all the people. So I'll have to. Rolling up the letter, I got up and went to the first floor. Azula was lying on the couch. She was resting.
«We have to go to the North Pole», I handed her the letter, «Will you come with me?»
«I don't know», she mumbled thoughtfully and rolled over onto her stomach, «If there's an Avatar there, there might be a fight. And I'll just be in the way. But I want to go too. Mei and Tai Li will be there for sure. And I really want to see them.»
«Then get ready», I slapped her butt, «We're going to the North Pole.»
