Avatar: Mage of All Elements

Chapter 37: Chapter 37

After solving the Avatar problem, I continued to patrol the island. I did it more out of habit than because I was actually looking for someone. The thing is, all the people who come here are informed, not violent, and they know that spies will be found quickly. And it's been two years since anyone has been sent to us.

Yes, sometimes we get spies, but more as a tribute to tradition. What's my point? Because the island has been too boring lately. No one gets rowdy in the pub, no spies are sent. Boring and uninteresting. But I'm not one to complain.

Compared to the ordinary inhabitants of Earth, I live like a god here. I have everything, and food, and women, and universal respect. I'm just bored. But I soon found something to do.

The thing is, when I learned enough magic, I used to write everything down in case I lost my memory. Yeah, I know that's a childish thing to do, but now I have an idea. The thing is, sooner or later, Aang will have to master all four elements, so why don't I help him?

I just need to remove the things that can hurt me, like seismic vision, blood magic, and metal magic. I tried to rewrite everything else in as much detail as possible.

Fire magic was the only thing I didn't touch because I'm still far from being a master. It's a strange thing. I had such a low potential in it from the beginning that I couldn't even see its core, and it was only when I studied Kyoshi's MA style that I felt it and started to develop it slowly.

Later, I built up my fire nerve and increased its density. This gave me tangible benefits and bonuses, except that my fire magic core was too slow to progress. It is now at the level of a tenth of a water core.

That's a huge leap in development, but I'm not likely to get stronger. The thing is, about a year ago, the core stopped growing at all and started becoming sort of bony. It's hard to explain, but this change didn't really affect anything, it just blocked further growth of the fire core.

So I've given up that branch of magic for now and focused more on healing. Sometimes I even feel like it's a separate school of magic. But that's not the point. All these memories came to me as I was transcribing my knowledge of magic into new scrolls.

I selected the basics and many techniques for both water magic and earth magic. This will come in handy for the Avatar, and maybe he'll defeat the Fire Lord a little earlier than in the cartoon.

I finished late at night and went to bed tired, but one of my students was already there and she helped me relax and I slept very soundly.

POV Team Avatar

«So who found out what?» asked Soka as their team gathered. He still couldn't get over being overpowered by girls, so he asked his friends to find out more about these Kyoshi warriors.

«A lot of things, except that it's hardly true», Soka looked at Katara indignantly. «Everyone in the village is convinced that the warriors are at least thirty, and their leader is almost forty, which is why no new warriors are being recruited.»

«Okay, you've convinced me, it's probably just a rumor», Soka said after thinking for a while, «There's no way that someone almost our age could be so much older than us. Grim can't perform such miracles.»

«What did you find out?» Katara asked Sookie.

«I heard that Yoko sleeps with all of her students», she said and everyone in the room blushed.

«That could be it», Katara agreed with Soka, although she was red with embarrassment, «Remember how they looked at you when you told him everything?» Soka just shrugged, the girls' faces were too frightening at that moment.

«I heard from the kids», Aang decided to ignore the skeptical looks from Soka and Katara, «That he built the rocks around the island and that he built almost all of the houses himself», he thought for a moment before continuing, «And everyone thought that he was the Avatar before I came because they heard that he uses not only earth magic but water magic as well. Oh, and he heals a lot of people.»

After that there was silence. Everyone was thinking of their own things. Soka was jealous and didn't understand why this guy was treated so well, and as the strongest warrior of the whole southern tribe, it was a shame for him to lose to the girls in a fight.

Katara was insanely curious, she felt that there was a great mystery hidden on this island, but there was not much time, so she felt only a slight sadness that she would not be able to solve this mystery. Aang thought about his harsh destiny.

He had just recently been told that he was an Avatar, and bang, he was transported a hundred years into the future, there was a war going on, everyone he knew was gone, and he had to end this long war. They went to their rooms and fell asleep without coming to any conclusions.
