Chapter 5:
Chapter 5: If You Have No Business Here, Leave! This Is No Place for You!:
“Very well! As you wish!
“The ceremony to appoint you as the Saintess of the Absolute Void Holy Land is hereby canceled. In fact, let’s make it simple—I revoke your title as Saintess entirely!”
Su Mo’s calm voice reverberated through the hall.
He then turned to the assembled elders and said, “I must trouble you all to bear witness to this decision. From today onwards, Fairy Leng Yue is no longer the Saintess of the Absolute Void Holy Land.”
The elders in the grand hall were visibly stunned by Su Mo’s decisive declaration. They hadn’t expected the Holy Son to act with such determination today.
Though none of them spoke, their hearts unanimously approved of his decision.
This was the demeanor befitting the Holy Son of the Absolute Void Holy Land!
For some time, they had been distressed by Su Mo’s indulgence of Fairy Leng Yue. Her manipulations had blinded him, causing them great concern.
Now, however, it seemed those dark days were over, and they could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Su Mo smirked coldly, his gaze fixed on Fairy Leng Yue’s flawless face with an icy detachment.
Revoking Leng Yue’s title as Saintess was a trivial matter to him, hardly an obstacle at all.
Had she been like his junior sister—the universally respected and acknowledged Saintess of the Absolute Void Holy Land—such a decision would have faced considerable resistance.
But Leng Yue’s title had never been recognized by the elders. She had no foundation within the Holy Land.
Her rise or fall was entirely at Su Mo’s whim.
This so-called “green tea” dared to play games with him?
As long as she remained in the Absolute Void Holy Land, Su Mo had countless ways to put her in her place.
Initially, Su Mo had only planned to let Leng Yue leave quietly, not intending to revoke her title.
But since she insisted on testing his patience, she might as well bear the consequences. By revoking her position, he could save the resources that would have been wasted on her.
Leng Yue’s face shifted through a range of emotions, her delicate features revealing disbelief.
Was this truly the same Holy Son of the Absolute Void Holy Land she once knew?
She bit her lip gently, her gaze locking with Su Mo’s. For a fleeting moment, their eyes met.
In his cold, indifferent eyes, she saw no hesitation. He wasn’t testing her; he was genuinely serious about stripping her of her title as Saintess!
Though Leng Yue had never cared much for the title, being publicly stripped of it like this felt like a humiliating slap in the face.
At the time of her appointment, Su Mo had ignored the protests of the Holy Land’s elders to make her the second Saintess.
Now, with just a few words, he was dismissing her like a toy discarded after use.
This wasn’t just a decision—it was a public insult.
For the first time, a flicker of anger broke through Leng Yue’s usually composed expression. Though she quickly suppressed it, the humiliation cut deeply.
Forcing calmness into her tone, she asked, “Su Mo, must you humiliate me like this?”
Su Mo’s expression remained unchanged, his voice even colder as he replied, “Humiliate you? Fairy Leng Yue, what are you talking about?
“I simply respect your independence and desire for self-reliance. I’ve heard you dislike being the Saintess of the Absolute Void Holy Land.
“Since that’s the case, I’m granting your wish. Removing your title is the right thing to do.”
After a brief pause, Su Mo continued, his tone laced with sarcasm, “But what puzzles me is this: everything I’ve done is exactly what you wanted. So how is that humiliation?”
His words were like a dagger, cutting through Leng Yue’s composure and leaving her speechless.
In front of the gathered elders, Su Mo’s question was devastating, leaving her no room to maneuver.
What could she say? That she had pretended to disdain the title to maintain her pride but secretly valued it?
And now, having lost the title, she had become a living joke?
Leng Yue stood frozen, her heart filled with bitterness as if she had swallowed a fly.
Never in her wildest dreams had she expected the once submissive Holy Son, who had pandered to her every whim, to become so decisive and domineering.
To casually announce her dismissal, without hesitation, was utterly baffling to her.
Though she had claimed not to care about the title, the way it was stripped from her left her feeling disgusted and furious.
Seeing her stunned and silent, Su Mo found the situation increasingly dull.
Was her mental resilience truly this weak?
Just a few sentences, and she was already rattled?
Then again, the contrast between his past indulgence and his current indifference was vast, like the difference between heaven and earth. It was only natural for her to struggle to process it.
Given time, she would undoubtedly come to terms with it.
However, she still needed a lesson. Otherwise, this “green tea” might not understand the difference between authority and subservience.
With this thought, Su Mo added coldly, “Fairy Leng Yue, you may leave.
“This is the Void Peak, not a place a mere true disciple has the right to enter.
“Left and Right Protectors, hear my command!
“If Fairy Leng Yue enters this place again without authorization, she is to be punished according to the laws of the Holy Land!”
As soon as Su Mo finished speaking, two figures emerged silently from the void.
These figures were shrouded in black light, making it impossible to discern their faces or even their forms clearly.
They were Su Mo’s Left and Right Protectors, individuals of unfathomable power. Even most elders had no idea of their true identities.
“Yes!” the Protectors replied in unison, kneeling briefly before fading back into the void.
Leng Yue’s face turned pale.
She hadn’t expected Su Mo to go so far as to involve the Left and Right Protectors just to restrict her movements.
The contrast between his current resolve and his former deference was too stark.
Suppressing her emotions, she sneered coldly. “As you wish, Su Mo. I never wanted to come here in the first place!”
With that, Leng Yue turned and strode out of the hall without looking back, her fury evident in her every step.
As soon as she was gone, the Left and Right Protectors disappeared as if they had never been there.
The elders in the hall, however, were overjoyed.
Many of them had long opposed Leng Yue’s appointment as Saintess.
Her lowly origins, though offset by her remarkable talent, were still a far cry from the universally acknowledged Saintess of the Absolute Void Holy Land.
Moreover, Leng Yue had no sense of loyalty to the Holy Land, having only recently joined. How could she deserve the title of Saintess?
Now that her title was revoked, it felt like a weight had been lifted from their shoulders.
Some elders even laughed openly, their mood visibly improved.
This was the Holy Son of the Absolute Void Holy Land!
The groveling and fawning they had witnessed before had been unbearable to watch.
How could a dignified Holy Son stoop to such behavior?
