Apocalypse: I Can Enter Hogwarts (Harry Potter)

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Return to the End of the World

A long time passed, but it felt like just a moment. When Ian's senses returned to his body, he immediately pulled out his wand from his waist and held it in his hand.

Looking at the familiar environment that seemed like a lifetime ago, a sense of incongruity—like it was all just a dream—filled his entire being. Fortunately, the wand in his hand and the infinitely extending backpack on his back were constant reminders that this was not a dream.

"Now that we have the ability and the supplies, it's time to make a survival plan. But survival is key. People in the apocalypse can be more terrifying than parasites."

"In the short term, concealment should be the priority. Our current location should be similar to Northern Europe in our previous life, an area with a very low population density. As long as we stay away from downtown areas, there shouldn't be too much danger."

"As for the long-term plan, let's tentatively set it in a desert area. No matter how harsh the environment is, it won't affect the infinite extension space."

While making plans, Ian sifted through his former living base.

In line with the principle of not wasting anything, he found some relatively intact daily necessities and stored them in his backpack. After all, he had lived a hard life before.

"Wuhu, take off!"

Ian took out his long-treasured explosive flying broom, mounted it, and lightly kicked his feet. The broom, known for its explosive power, accelerated instantly.

A day is very short for some people, but very long for others.

Ian rode the broom, looking at the once-bustling commercial street and row upon row of office buildings. Now, there was only an empty and dead silence. Except for the sound of the wind in his ears caused by flying, there was no other sound.

It felt as if he were the only one left in the world, or as if he had been abandoned by the whole world, and an absurd sense of loneliness arose within him.

Although the flight lasted more than an hour, it did not actually cross the entire city.

In addition to being distracted from time to time by the need to guard against any unexpected bird parasites, Ian also planned to search nearby shopping malls and supermarkets for daily necessities that hadn't been destroyed. So he simply kept hovering over the city.

After all, the technological development in this world was similar to that of the previous life, far surpassing that of England in the 1990s.

"Generator! Generator! I didn't even think of this problem. I should have prepared more empty barrels."

Ian muttered to himself as he looked at the empty gas station in front of him.

This was truly a blind spot in his thinking. He had been the type to worry only about food and survival before and never thought about how to improve his quality of life after acquiring magical powers.

"But it's not too late now. Supermarkets and shopping malls should have plenty of containers. It's just a matter of making a few more trips. The parasite threat is no longer an issue."

Ian no longer felt the initial panic and fear about this world. It was in line with the famous saying: all fears are caused by a lack of firepower.

After acquiring magical powers, as long as he didn't do anything suicidal, he could face most emergencies calmly.

Sometimes, it's difficult for humans to understand the happiness of hamsters, but at this moment, Ian fully experienced this happiness.

After several hours of collecting supplies and exploring the city, he decided to move his base to the city's luxurious villa area.

Because in this country with a low population density, the high-end villa area was even more sparsely populated.

Moreover, if he cleared out the parasitic plants, he could establish a good vegetable garden. While the vegetables would still be parasitic, the humans who survived could gain strong immunity.

The shortest distance between two points is always a straight line, so for Ian, who could fly over obstacles, this avoided unnecessary battles and saved a lot of time.

Soon, he arrived at the rich villa area marked on his map. Tall shrubs and roadside lawns had grown wildly during the period of abandonment, resembling a small forest.

In an area spanning tens of thousands of square meters, there were dozens of exquisite European-style villas scattered about, looking extremely shabby and desolate.

The view from mid-air provided a clear overview of the entire area. Overall, Ian was quite satisfied with the environment and buildings here.

Since he planned to live there for at least a while, he chose the location carefully.

He selected a spot that was relatively far back and surrounded by a more desolate area, to avoid intrusion by many small animal parasites.

What came into view was a slightly lonely cylindrical two-story building, and the nearest house to it was more than a hundred meters away.

After determining the location, he landed. He first looked around to ensure it was safe, then carefully entered the building to assess the situation.

Perhaps due to its remote location or the style of its architecture, which made it difficult to sell, Ian was lucky to find that this villa was empty.

After thoroughly checking the upper and lower floors to confirm that nothing was missing, Ian began his reclamation plan.

"Incendio!"

As Ian cast the spell, an orange fire snake suddenly shot out from his wand, burning in a fan shape ahead.

The scorching orange flames quickly formed a sea of fire several meters high, turning the half-human-high weeds within a radius of dozens of meters into ashes.

After experiencing the second awakening of magic, Ian was now not much behind a normal adult wizard in terms of magical power.

Even after releasing this weakened version of the Fire Spell, Ian felt no depletion in his magical energy or mental fatigue.

"Now we don't need to fertilize the vegetables anymore."

Ian looked at the wasteland covered with ashes a hundred meters ahead and smiled contentedly.

After all, the vegetable-growing instinct from his previous life had been rooted deeply in his soul.

Time passed slowly. The sun set, and dusk turned to evening. Compared to a bare villa, Ian would rather live in the infinitely extending space of his backpack.

After a simple dinner of soft bread and placing a few defensive spells on the backpack to hide it, he decided to enter the infinitely extending space to relax and rest.
