Another World Fluffy Cafe

Ch34-5 - Epilogue: Off to Find the Cat!

Epilogue: Off to Find the Cat!

Since Taichi was traveling with Luke, their departure happened at night to avoid drawing too much attention. It could cause a commotion if someone saw them during the day.

The night breeze was chilly, but with Luke’s fluffy presence, it was warm enough.

“Alright, let’s go. Everyone, take care while we’re gone. Himeri will be here by tomorrow morning, so be good,” Taichi said.

“Okay!”
“Leave it to us!”
“We’ll be good!”
“Meow!”

Taichi received cheerful replies from the Cerberus and Berry Rabbits.

“If a customer comes, you just need to play with them, right?” Taichi asked.

“Well… that’s about the gist of it,” he replied.

From the fluffy side’s perspective, it’s true that they’re the ones providing entertainment. However, since the Cerberus seem to enjoy it, it’s probably fine.

(Yeah, back when I used to visit cat cafes, it was the cats who played with me…)

Although, there were many times when I wasn’t given attention.

Considering that, the Cerberus are indeed incredibly accommodating.

(I should buy lots of souvenirs from the neighboring country…)

They should be delighted.

Taichi petted the Cerberus and enjoyed their fluffiness, while Luke watched him with a disapproving look, as if saying, “Don’t just fuss over the Cerberus!”

“Hurry up and leave!” Luke urged.

“I know, I know!” Taichi responded.

Pressured by Luke, Taichi shouldered his bag and put on his coat, completing his preparations.

Thanks to the magical bag, his luggage was minimal, making for a comfortable journey. Although Taichi hadn’t traveled much in Japan, he was accustomed to using a carry case for business trips.

“Meow!”

The Berry Rabbits rubbed up against Taichi, seemingly worried about him.

His feet were surrounded by fluffy creatures, making him feel like he was in heaven.

And the thought of a Forest Cat joining them when they return made his face go all goofy.

“…”

“What’s wrong, Luke?” Taichi asked.

“You’re making such a sloppy face!” Luke scolded, turning away.

(I guess I might have looked pretty sloppy…)

Taichi touched his cheek, trying to fix his expression. However, surrounded by fluff, his face quickly returned to its silly state.

It couldn’t be helped.

Luke, watching this with a look of exasperation, tapped Taichi’s leg with his fluffy tail.

“Honestly.”

“Ahaha… It can’t be helped. I love all of you so much,” Taichi said.

“Hmph.”

When Taichi spoke sincerely, Luke turned his head away, though his tail was still wagging, revealing his bashful response to being told he was loved.

“Alright, let’s get going,” Taichi said.

“Yeah.”

“Safe travels!”
“Meow!”

“‘We’re off!’”

Even though the Fluffy Cafe was on the outskirts of the city, it wasn’t entirely isolated. So, after walking a short distance, Luke returned to his original size.

He grew from one meter to two meters. The increased fluffiness made his larger form even more impressive, and Taichi thought it was truly wonderful.

“Come on, get on. We should reach near the city before sunrise, right?” Luke urged.

“That’s a good idea. You stand out a lot, so it would be troublesome if we attracted attention,” Taichi agreed.

Even carrying a one-meter Luke would draw significant attention in the city. If they were seen riding a two-meter Luke… what a scene that would be.

(I’m sure someone would definitely want to take Luke.)

That wouldn’t do. It’s unacceptable.

“I’ll protect you, Luke!” Taichi declared, hugging Luke’s neck tightly.

Luke sighed as if to say, “What are you talking about?”

“You’re weaker than me…” Luke said.

“…That’s true,” Taichi admitted.

Luke, looking exasperated, sighed again and picked Taichi up, placing him on his back.

“Stay protected by me.”

With that, Luke kicked off the ground and started running. Under the starry night sky, his galloping form looked just like—

(So cool…)

Even though he usually acts so aloof.

“As expected of my partner, you’re reliable,” Taichi said with a smile.

Luke also smiled happily in response.

And so, they set off to find the Forest Cat in the neighboring country.

That’s the end of the first book! I hope you enjoyed it.

I haven’t had a chance to respond to your feedback yet, but I always read it with joy.

Next up is the cat chapter!

Personally, I think hedgehogs are also great, but is that still considered fluffy…?
