Chapter 18: Planning Light Meals

When Taichi saw Grease and the others who visited on the first day, he realized that there was a lack of opportunities to interact with fluffies in this world.

So Taichi thought,

“Maybe if I prepare some light meals, people would stay longer and relax?”

Today, he opened the fluffy cafe again, but no customers had arrived yet. Therefore, Taichi decided to think about what he could prepare in the kitchen.

Since this place was previously a dining hall, the equipment was sufficient.

The only problem was… Taichi’s lack of cooking skills.

The next day, Taichi, accompanied by Luke, headed to the morning market. The Berry Rabbits stayed at the store as good little ones.

The market was located in the southwest of the city and was relatively quick to reach by passing through the southern city gate. Fresh vegetables, eggs, meats, and river fish were all lined up. There were also stalls selling freshly baked bread and food, and people were having breakfast.

However, unfortunately, there were no stores selling rice.

(I should use my shopping skill to ask the deity for rice.)

Since he didn’t need a lot of vegetables and meat, it would be fine to get them fresh every morning.

“Taichi, I’m hungry. Let’s buy some grilled meat over there.”

So, they bought two skewers of grilled meat each and sat on a nearby bench to eat.

As Taichi took a bite, juices from the meat burst out. It was very tender and seemed to melt in his mouth.

“Of course.”

Taichi held out the grilled meat to Luke, who took a bite happily. He skillfully removed the meat from the skewer and devoured it.

“You cook better than this! Make more dragon steak again.”

Taichi was startled by Luke’s unexpected praise, who usually acted aloof. However, since he was praised, Taichi was motivated to use his cooking skills to prepare a full course meal.

That way, he might reduce the trouble of searching for ingredients.

As Taichi was making these plans, a voice called out, “What a cute dog!”

“Hello! I’m Himeli. Is this your familiar?”

The one who spoke was a very cute girl.

Her bright pink hair, styled into a small bun with a ribbon hair accessory, looked very much like it belonged in another world. Her yellow eyes watched Taichi and Luke intently.

“Yes. I’m Taichi, a tamer. This is my partner, Luke.”

“I see! Nice to meet you, Taichi, Luke. Can I touch him?”

“Luke, is it okay?”

“……No.”

It was a bit shocking that Luke refused to be touched by the cute girl, but Taichi considered that it might be due to the difference in species.

(If anything, Luke would be happier to be liked by a female Fenrir…)

By the way, Taichi would be thrilled if he were liked by a female Fenrir. It would be the best experience to enjoy the fluffiness.

Seeing Taichi and Luke’s interaction, Himeli looked a bit worried.

“Maybe it’s better not to touch him?”

“If you’d like, why not visit my fluffy cafe? While Luke might be out, we have Berry Rabbits. I think you’d have fun interacting with them.”
