A blade of light, impossibly sharp, flashed across the world, cleaving through space itself with unstoppable force.

The Smallpox Deity's thick, tough defense offered no resistance whatsoever.

Splat!

Cursed Energy blood splattered as the massive Smallpox Deity was split vertically in two. Its enormous, bloated body toppled to both sides.

The Evil Eye that had caught Subaru off guard was also severed by the powerful slash. While such an attack would destroy an ordinary Cursed Spirit, the Smallpox Deity possessed various integrated powers within its body.

Subaru, still held by the collar in Daiki's hand, landed safely, though the curse hallucinations from the Gyūki's Evil Eye lingered.

"Inspector General Daiki..." She elegantly opened her fan and smiled, despite her unsteady feet, "If you had arrived any later, you would have been collecting a corpse."

Though Daiki was late, she had to admire his incredible power — instantly defeating the Smallpox Deity.

No wonder someone so young had risen to become the Jujutsu Inspector General.

She'd heard he had even excavated and collected the Six Eyes from the current strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer. This ruthless person was nothing like she had imagined.

As the newly appointed Jujutsu Director, he must have countless matters to attend to. After all, he carried the responsibility of two special capitals and forty-three prefectures of the entire Jujutsu World!

His tardiness was understandable.

Yet when Subaru raised her head and noticed the love bites on his neck, her face darkened.

Had he been dallying with his admirers?

Was that why he was late, leaving her alone in this dangerous battle?

Suddenly, the Smallpox Deity on the ground merged back together and roared.

"This... how is this possible... could it be immortal?"

The creature that had been vertically split now stood tall once more, its imposing stance making the previous severe injury seem like mere illusion.

"Inspector General Daiki, it must have integrated Devilish Power. Devils from Hell are essentially immortal, with regenerative abilities surpassing both Impurities and Cursed Spirits."

With both Cursed Spirit and Devil regeneration powers, the Smallpox Deity completed its self-repair instantly, drawing strength from the fear and negative emotions permeating Shibuya district.

Subaru's expression darkened — she dreaded another death gaze attack. Without Daiki's timely arrival, the Gyūki's Evil Eye would have severely injured her, causing bleeding from all seven orifices.

"What should we do?" She turned to the calm-faced man.

Even with her Mystic Spell Equip, she doubted she could deliver a killing blow. Her only hope lay in this powerful man's ability to eliminate the Smallpox Deity.

"It's fine, Devil regeneration has its limits." Daiki's pupils emanated the unique dark light of the Phantom Sight.

The roaring Smallpox Deity fell silent. Under Subaru's astonished gaze, he approached it.

۞ Sky Walking ⟴ Celestial Dash! ۞

From his fist, an immense amount of Cursed Energy gathered, manifesting as a black flame that rose to the heavens before transforming into a torrent of black electricity.

۞ Black Flash — Lance! ۞

Terrifying Cursed Energy, wrapped in black lightning, spread outward. Lightning snakes tore through space itself. The Black Flash's power bent to Daiki's will, forming a precise lance of attack.

Boom!

White energy waves surged forth. Ground stones shot out like bullets. The Smallpox Deity's body shattered instantly, its broken flesh raining across the sky.

Daiki's pupils darted through the scattered flesh, seeking the Gun Devil's fragment that hadn't fully merged with the Smallpox Deity.

Using the Ghost Hand, he extracted two percent of the Gun Devil's flesh fragment. As the Cursed Spirit's power destabilized, the Gyūki's Evil Eye manifested once more.

"Roar!"

۞ Domain Expansion ⟴ Graveyard Domain! ۞

The enraged Smallpox Deity unleashed its Domain Expansion.

The Graveyard Domain instantly engulfed Daiki and Subaru, surrounding them with rotting wooden coffin boards that closed in from all directions.

High above in the Domain's sky, the Gyūki's Evil Eye materialized. Its sure-hit effect froze Subaru's body as hallucinations flooded her mind. Though temporary, the paralysis had already allowed the coffin boards to trap them in a confined space.

Subaru's towering form crashed against Daiki in the narrow space, the unexpected contact leaving her no time to feel embarrassed.

Within the Domain, the Smallpox Deity began its death countdown.

"Damn it, my body is completely rigid — I can't use the Mystic Spell Equip."

Overwhelming dizziness and nausea swept through her as she lay powerless within the coffin.

If only she had activated the Onmyōji Twelve Guardians' strongest trump card — the Mystic Spell Equip — earlier, she could have avoided this deadly trap.

No one had anticipated the Smallpox Deity's extraordinary abilities: the Gyūki's Evil Eye, an Impurity's physique, and a Special-Grade Cursed Spirit's Domain Expansion — three formidable powers combined.

Having lost the initiative, Subaru found herself completely outmatched.

A new Domain erupted, extending its slashing reach across a kilometer radius.

As it collided with the Smallpox Deity's Domain, endless slashes tore through the barrier from within.

A sharp crack echoed through the air.

The Smallpox Deity's Closed Domain fractured violently. Its rotting wooden coffin boards shattered into splinters.

In an instant, the Domain collapsed entirely, replaced by a towering demon-subduing shrine.

Subaru gasped as the Domain's effects released her.

A cool breeze brushed against Daiki's neck. As the woman's legs buckled beneath her, his arm swiftly caught her before she could fall.

The Domain's deadly slashes activated, giving the Smallpox Deity no chance to recover!

Countless blades of force extended outward, instantly reducing the deity's body to fine powder.

Daiki focused his thoughts, using Barrier Techniques to seal the Domain's perimeter.

"Fūga!"

He grasped the rising flames in his hand, transforming them into a bow of pure fire that hung suspended in the air.

As his fingertip drew back the bowstring, a blazing arrow materialized.

۞ Innate Technique ⟴ Divine Flame! ۞

Boom!

Inside the sealed barrier, a massive mushroom cloud erupted skyward. White shock waves shattered every window throughout the Shibuya district!

The overwhelming attack annihilated what remained of the Smallpox Deity, leaving not even ash within the sealed barrier.

۞ Devour Spirit! ۞

Mysterious vortexes erupted from Daiki's palm, drawing in the Smallpox Deity's core soul.

『Detected host collecting Special-Grade Cursed Spirit Soul — Smallpox Deity!』

『Reward: Color of the Supreme King Haki!』

Perhaps due to the Gyūki's Evil Eye special ability, the Collection Space's reward manifested as the Supreme Conqueror's Haki, tied to the soul's strength.

"Impressive as always, Inspector General." Subaru commented, still steadying herself, "To think you could overpower a Domain with another Domain, and then finish it off with such a powerful technique."

Daiki's expression remained unchanged as he scanned the area with his Far Sight, ensuring no traces of the creature remained.

"The combination of Cursed Spirit and Devil regeneration made it troublesome, but nothing is truly immortal." He stated matter-of-factly, "We should report this incident. The appearance of such hybrid entities is concerning."

As they prepared to leave, Subaru couldn't help but glance at the destruction around them. The Shibuya district would need significant repairs, but at least the threat had been eliminated.

The battlefield had settled into dust. Within the kilometer-radius Domain range, no traces of Cursed Spirits or living beings remained.

Though Barrier Techniques had sealed the Domain's surroundings and enhanced the flames' power, the leaked force still damaged parts of the city. Fortunately, there were no casualties — only some injuries.

At Shibuya's Private Fujimi Academy, many people lost their hearing from the shock wave, with teacher Kōichi Shidōu suffering the most severe effects.

As Daiki and Subaru walked out of Shibuya's core area, they appeared untouched — not a speck of dust or blood stained their forms. Subaru's gorgeous clothing showed no signs of the fierce battle they'd just fought.

The now-deaf Kōichi, furious at the destruction, led a group of survivors to block their path in a show of force.

As the son of a local politician — though without inheritance rights — his wild ambition drove him to seek everything his father possessed.

Holding up his phone as if to take a close-up of Daiki, he angrily shouted, "I'm recording this! How dare you call this protecting taxpayers? Look at what you've done to Shibuya district! What exactly have you protected?! Don't think you can act recklessly just because ordinary people don't know about Jujutsu Sorcerers and Onmyōji. If you don't explain yourself, you'll—"

Before he could finish, Daiki's pupils suddenly focused.

۞ Haki ⟴ Supreme King! ۞

Terrifying Conqueror's Haki crashed down like a mountain avalanche mixed with a sea tsunami.

Kōichi's body crumpled lifeless, as if struck by lightning.

The surrounding survivors fell silent — they had only come to watch the commotion. Now, witnessing Daiki's power, they glimpsed the other side of their world.

"Inspector General, isn't this too harsh... what if word gets out?" Subaru's hesitation contrasted with his decisiveness.

"You have a point." Daiki's response put her at ease.

It showed he could still listen to reason. Though this tragedy had occurred, perhaps there was still hope for making amends.

Using Phantom Sight, he created an illusion of Kōichi rising from the ground, as if he had merely fallen from dizziness.

"This isn't over!" The illusory "Kōichi" shouted, pointing his phone at Daiki, "I'll report your actions to the government! You'll face consequences! Let's go, everyone, before this monster causes more damage!"

The angry crowd followed the illusion away, leaving Kōichi's real body on the ground.

As the group departed, tragedy struck again — the already dead man died once more!

The crowd scattered in terror, but Daiki would later use his influence to silence all witnesses. After that, everything would return to normal.

The survivors at the Private Fujimi Academy watched in stunned silence as their teacher suddenly died from a falling stone.

Among them, a tall girl with waist-length purple hair observed with burning eyes. While the others remained frozen in shock, she seized the opportunity to slip away from the academy.
