Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

The man got furious as the girl in front of him was thinking about the police who only lie down and just decoration. They can't even stop even one organization and they can only bully those lower criminals who are desperate just to get some money to feed their families. While those who killed by batch and embezzled millions or even billions were roaming around like they did nothing wrong.

Mia also knew that the police were only for decorations and was powerless against different organizations. She had nothing to say anymore. She knew that she couldn't scare those people so she prepared to fight. 

Mia and Keiji's back was now facing each other as they waited for the enemies who were still lurking in the dark. Mia was anxious while she was in a fighting stance because Keiji was standing like they weren't being surrounded. But she didn't dare to lose her focus on the battle and just thought to herself that Keiji was strong and can protect himself so that her mind would ease up. 

The wind blows through the forest as the time seems to stop as the assailants were lying in wait. All of them was a high-level player but not on par with Mia and they knew it themselves but they knew that Mia was nothing if they exhaust her or help each other to defeat her as for Keiji they only see him as a douchebag who was clinging to Mia. 

Then after a little while there is a sudden ripple in the air and a figure shot out of the air. It pointed a dagger at Keiji as his figure shot through the air at a fast speed. Keiji slanted his body as raised his palm and pushed it upwards that hit the assailant's face. The assailant was dumbfounded; he didn't expect that Keiji would see through him or could react that fast. 

He didn't feel any aura or energy that was coming from Keiji that was why he was caught off guard. A player exudes some aura that any player could detect and the stronger that aura is, the stronger that player is and that was the same in real life but if your level is not enough you can't see through that person or you can see inaccurate information. And that was the same in real life. If a person is a player he will start to sense an aura or the change in energy around and the stronger the change in the energy around a person the stronger that person is. 

But if their opponent's strength is stronger than the other they can't see the change in the energy or might see it inaccurately. And just now before they attack they have already gauged the strength of the two and they have also been willing to sacrifice one or two people getting beaten up. And that was because of Mia because her auta is stronger than them and by a lot while Keiji was also exuding it although it was only a little because Keiji only started playing the game a week or so that is why he only exuded a little aura. 

Keiji was a little shocked that he had begun reading their minds when they showed up and now he gained new information from them. Before he read their mind he was clueless and he didn't know that he was exuding this so called aura and now when he read their mind he came to know that he was exuding the same energy as they release. And at that moment he paused.

After he struck his palm on the jaw of the assailant's he paused as he was thinking of something although he could think really fast his mind seemed to slow down at that time. He began to wander about many things. 

As he kept thinking he forgot about that he was still in a fight but he was not worried because no one could pose a threat to him in the surroundings. The assailant who he struck with his palm rolled horizontally mid air which dumbstruck everyone and even Mia. 

Mia didn't daze any further and shook her thoughts. She focused on the surroundings again and heaved a sigh of relief after learning that Keiji was capable of fighting. The assailants paused and became more cautious with their actions. 

Keiji was still in the same position and his hand was still high up in the sky. The assailants became wary of him as they tried to understand his actions but even if they rack their mind off they couldn't get the hang of it. The assailant who initiated the attack was still lying down on the ground.

"Hey did he lose consciousness?" whispered one of the assailants to his companion. 

"Maybe he was pretending and planning to sneak attack"

"Shhh! focus, but what do you think he's doing, why isn't he moving at all?" one of them asked in a very voice. 

As the leader kept looking and observing Keiji he realized something. 

"F*ck attack now he was chanting"

After saying so the whole place was dumbstruck and so was Mia. She turned to look at Keiji and began to prepare and defend Keiji which she also thought to be chanting because Keiji's mouth was twitching from time to time. Unbeknownst to them Keiji was just muttering something as he kept thinking about something. 

One of the assailants dashed with his dagger and tried to attack Keiji but Mia reprimanded him. She punched the man's face and the man fell back as he was drawn to the force of Mia's punch then another assailant tried to attack Keiji and Mia raised her foot and kicked the man's face then a dagger was thrown out towards Keiji. Mia saw the dagger and was not strong enough to grab the tilt so she blocked it using her own hands.

"Splurt**

Blood splattered as the dagger pierced her hand but she did not mind it and continued protecting Keiji she pulled the dagger out of her hand and used it instead. The other assailant then dash again towards the other side of Keiji using his knife but before the tip of his knife could reach Keiji's face it was blocked by Mia. The assassin was ready and used his other hand to stab Keiji's body but he was kicked by the stomach and flung away. 

Mia looked at Keiji again but Keiji already regained his composure. He stood up and shook his head as he looked around. He suddenly remembers that he was still in the battle and senses that only one person has left and it was the one he has hit. The other four fled first and went back to where their other companion was.

Mia let them go as she doesn't really plan to kill them or anything and she just doesn't want to have anyone died while she knows that she can do something. 

"Keiji lets go," Mia urged Keiji and grab his hand as they strode towards the forest and followed the assailants.

"That girl is hella strong, and that man was still fucking chanting until now."

"But what the fuck happen with Vaugn why does he keep lying down, isn't it just one palm strike" said one of the assailants as he keep running.

Their leader already ordered the retreat after gauging that they would lose after Keiji was done chanting which is why he ordered the retreat. After going back he reported to their leader what happened and they prepared for the worst. 

"F*ck you old man, release the fruit right now or we will find your family and torture them." The leader was now so angry and was about to lose his composure.

Keiji and Mia arrived at the scene not long after. They looked at the scene and saw an old man kneeling down with wounds all over his body and three men wearing black suits surrounding the old man.

"Hey what are you doing to that old man?" Mia shouted as she looked at the old man but as she was saying so she realized something in her mind. 'wait! it's an old man, but, how does Keiji know about it?'

She thought as she remembered how Keiji asked her if she wanted to help that old man, she didn't pay attention to it at first but now she seems to remember Keiji's words so she decided that she would ask later.

"Who are you? Mind your own business child, I will let you go away if you go now if not you will know what hell is like. The mab was getting angrier and angrier as times passed by but he can still make the right decision. He doesn't want to involve them because they did nothing and just attacked one of them. But that was understandable because they are the one who first attack.
