Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

Droplets of tears slowly formed in the corner of Keiji's eyes and made Mia think twice about whether to hate Keiji or to pity him. At first, she thought that it was Keiji's tactic to trick her and lure her to his room and do something malicious and she was already prepared for that. She was even hiding a knife in her shorts that weren't easy to notice.

She can not decide whether to push Keiji away or not. She kept thinking the same thing for almost another hour. She looked around slowly trying to gauge the surroundings then she noticed that the aircon was at 0° Celcius which means it almost has the same temperature as a freezer.

'He can sleep in this cold environment and why does this room even have an air conditioner that is capable of having a temperature of zero degree celsius.' She thought as he remembered that she was already staying in that room for more than two hours.

'But why do I feel warm in his embrace?' She thought while looking at Keiji's face who was still red. 

'Arrghh!! I still have classes tomorrow and I need to sleep now.. this man... if not for your handsome… Ahhh!! Many thoughts ran through her mind.

But she still decided to go out and not stay with Keiji because it is improper for a girl to stay in a man's house and the most improper thing was to sleep with a man in the same room alone.

She slowly slipped out of Keiji's hands and after that, she slowly tried to remove Keiji's legs. She held Keiji's legs and slowly tried to raise Keiji's legs up but then she couldn't move Keiji's leg away from her.

She put more force into it but it still didn't budge then she put more force into it and she almost used half of her strength but then Keiji's legs budge and because of the sudden movement, her hands accidentally slid towards Keiji's inner legs and hit Keiji's junior. 

She felt the softness of it and the warmth of that certain body part of Keiji although Keiji's body was warm and relaxing that body part was warmer than the other but the warmth it exudes is also more relaxing.

Mia removed her hands almost instantly and she didn't let that opportunity get out of Keiji's leg so she rolled out of Keiji's legs.

She heaved a sigh of relief and got up and moved towards the exit of the door. She turned around and looked once more at Keiji who was still sleeping and moved her gaze in the air conditioner that made the temperature colder. She didn't try to change the temperature of the room because she didn't know if it would help Keiji or even irritated him so she decided not to dwell on it further.

'I hope he doesn't have a disease or anything for him to sleep in that room which was so cold or is it part of his training?' She thought as she exited Keiji's penthouse and entered her own.

She laid straight to the bed and didn't even bother to take a bath as she was still feeling the trace of the smell of Keiji in her body. Although Keiji drank a lot and smelled of alcohol, it wasn't that smelly and it was already suppressed by Keiji's natural fragrance.

She immersed herself in that scent and slowly fell asleep.

Keiji opened his eyes because of the sunlight that reached his eyes. He came back to himself and remembered everything that happened yesterday. 

'It seems like I really am getting careless and softer as time passed by' He thought those words as he remembered something from his past.

Vladimir was a young boy living with his father, mother, brother, and sister in a certain forest away from civilization. They are vampires and his family was a normal vampire family living in the forest like other vampires.

They lived peacefully until some of the Royals interacted with his father but then his father seemed to disappear and nowhere to be found. His family, especially his mother, had pleaded to the Lord of the Vampire at that time but there were no answers from them; they just ignored their pleas.

Days passed but still, there was not even a shadow of trace left from where his father had disappeared. The last time he saw his father was when he talked with the Royals or more specifically the second-highest in position with the empire that led the vampire. 

Years eventually passed and soon his mother also disappeared without a shadow left. Vladimir at that time was still an ignorant boy living with his sisters and his brother in the forest. They didn't try to pledge anymore in their vampire lord because the guards surrounding them didn't even let them near the castle.

Years eventually passed and Keiji was still a kid in terms of the vampire society but he can now hunt on his own and live on his own. They live peacefully as years pass by until Vladimir's older brother disappears. The same thing happened with his mother and father.

Vladimir and his sister eventually left that place and went far away from that land. Then when the Lord of the vampire heard that they escaped from his territories the Lord order to capture them and torture them.

That was when Vladimir and her sister were captured. They got thrown out of the cell but the soldier didn't bring her sister in any of the cells, instead, he saw that the soldier led his sister to the Lord's room.

He was thrown out in jail and the soldier started torturing him without any particular reason. They started cutting his limbs from time to time but they made sure that Vladimir wouldn't die from that and because they were a vampire Vladimir's leg would naturally heal if given an abundance of time.

When he was in jail he started to remember the happy moments that he had with his mother, father, brother, and sister. 

The happy moments that they had were so precious to him. He even wishes that if he could embrace his family once more he wouldn't regret it.

After years and years of being tortured in jail, a century eventually passed. Vladimir's body was nowhere to be seen as healthy, his body was so thin and sucked dry of blood his four limbs were cut off. 

Days passed again and Vladimir was staring at the ceiling that he was already sick of seeing. His neck was still chained and his limbs were slowly regaining their form again. He was just waiting for the same thing that will happen to him, which is getting his limbs cut off again, as he stared at the ceiling.

But then the usual routine suddenly changes and the usual thing they do is to cut Keiji's arms and sucked his blood dry instead they remove the chains in his neck and lead him to another room.

They throw him there like a trash he was already used to that pain because of being tortured for a century. He looked around only to see two thin figures on the side looking at him cautiously.

Vladimir stared at them eventually and he instantly knew who they were even after centuries of being tortured and their features have already changed so much Vladimir could still recognize who it was; it was his own parents. 

Vladimir cried as he tried to smile but the skin and the muscles have already been used to that position for a long time and his body has already forgotten how to smile.

Even though he looks so dehydrated and it looks like there is not even an ounce of liquid left in him, a single drop of tear still flowed out of his eyes.

His parents didn't move or even recognize him because they have already endured so much torture especially his father who was the first one to get tortured. 

Hatred formed in his heart at that sight when Vladimir connected it and found out that the Lord of the vampire is the one behind their fate. He crawled towards his parents who seemed to already lose their minds. 

Vladimir reached his parents' feet and touched them and forcefully smiled.

Vladimir shook his head to not remember his past anymore. He got up and walked towards the kitchen and drank a glass of water. 

He looked at the time and it was past 7 am so he took a bath and brushed his teeth before wearing the uniform of L.A.R.K academy.

He also ate ramen before heading out but before he opened the door he went back to get his credit card but he remembered that it was still in Mia.

'It seems like I am getting forgetful as time goes by.' Keiji thought.

He walked out of his penthouse and walked towards Mia's penthouse he was going to press the doorbell but then he sensed the presence of Mia walking towards the door so he decided to wait for her.
