Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Rapid Leveling Up
Roar—
A beast's roar echoed, carrying a bloody scent. In front of Su Mu stood a black panther.
Two meters long, with a single horn on its head, green eyes, and smooth, soft fur marked with crimson patterns.
Su Mu's eyes lit up—A Unihorn Demon Panther!
The Unihorn Demon Panther was a level five monster, much stronger than the Skeleton Soldiers. Su Mu was only level two, so being able to summon the Unihorn Demon Panther was pure luck.
He waved his hand, and the panther obediently approached, lowering its body and lying down on the ground, showing submission.
Su Mu patted its head, and the panther's information appeared before him.
[Name: Unihorn Demon Panther][Level: 5][Strength: 45][Agility: 60][Constitution: 50][Mentality: 20]
[Skill 1: Charge]Rapidly increases speed for a short period to chase and attack enemies. Lasts three minutes, consumes large amounts of stamina.
[Skill 2: Blood Lightning]Fires a blood-red lightning bolt from the horn on its head to strike enemies. Cooldown: 15 minutes.
[Description: I am the sixth demon of the abyss. I lurk in the grass for a whole day and night, just to pounce on you at the perfect moment.]
Wow, this panther's stats are on par with the Skeleton Giant and it even has two skills!
Especially the second skill, Blood Lightning—lightning-based skills are known for their massive power and difficulty to dodge.
If that lightning hits, even the Skeleton Giant might not survive it.
With such an ally, Su Mu felt elated. Now it was time to hunt.
He mounted the Unihorn Demon Panther, patted its head, and waved his hand, signaling his skeleton soldiers to follow as they marched into the forest.
The trial hunting ground was not only a place for humans to hunt monsters, but also for monsters to hunt humans. This forest was now Su Mu's personal hunting ground.
This was the special kind of power a Summoner above S-rank possessed: a one-man army, leading countless subordinates to crush everything in their path!
[Ding! Killed a Goblin Soldier. Gained 1 experience point. Experience required for level up (20/100).]
[Ding! Killed a Goblin Captain. Gained 4 experience points. Additional 4 points from killing a higher-level enemy. Experience required for level up (58/100).]
[Ding! Killed another Goblin Captain. Experience full. Congratulations, Su Mu leveled up to level 3. Mentality +10, gained 10 free attribute points.]
[Ding! Killed another Goblin Captain. Experience full. Congratulations, Su Mu leveled up to level 4. Mentality +10, gained 10 free attribute points.]
As Su Mu roamed through the forest with his skeleton soldiers, he had already killed over a hundred Goblin Soldiers and more than ten Goblin Captains in just a short time.
His summoned army grew larger, now including 19 level 2 Skeleton Soldiers, 10 level 3 Vampire Bats, and 10 level 4 Azure-eyed Demonic Spiders.
Su Mu's level also jumped to level 4, with his stats growing significantly. He allocated all 20 free attribute points to Strength, and his stats panel now looked like this:
[Player: Su Mu][Level: 4][Class: Abyss Summoner (S-Rank)][Talent Skill: Abyss Summon (Communicate with the Abyss space to summon Abyssal creatures for battle. The strength of summoned creatures depends on the player's strength. The stronger the player, the stronger the creatures.)][Current Summon Limit: 40][Class Equipment: Undead Staff]
[Strength: 50+10][Agility: 22][Constitution: 20+10][Mentality: 70]
Su Mu's stats surged at level 4, and his summon limit also increased. Looking at his growing army of monsters, Su Mu hesitated for a moment but decided to go straight for the Goblin camp.
The dungeon had three completion tasks: eliminate the Goblin camp, kill the Ice and Fire Sabertooth BOSS, and acquire the Golden Roasted Meat.
These three tasks were necessary to achieve an S-rank rating. Completing any one of them would earn an S-class profession.
However, generally speaking, aside from acquiring the Golden Roasted Meat, the first two tasks were nearly impossible for players to complete.
The difficulty was immense—no less than 200 people could tackle the first two conditions, and still might fail.
The only realistic chance was to get the Golden Roasted Meat guarded by the Sabertooth BOSS.
According to Su Mu's guildmates' experiments in his past life, the most feasible method was to incite a conflict between the Goblin and Sabertooth factions and then steal the Golden Roasted Meat.
In the Goblin camp, there was a sacred item called the Goblin Gold. If it were taken and thrown near the Sabertooth BOSS's lair, the Goblins would follow the scent and attack the Sabertooths.
This would create an opportunity for Su Mu to sneak in and steal the Golden Roasted Meat while the two factions were in chaos.
However, even this method was extremely difficult. The Goblin tribe had over 500 members. Even if some were out hunting, at least 100 would remain in the camp.
Of those, 30 were Goblin Elites, and there was also a Goblin Leader.
Breaking through such defenses to steal the Goblin Gold was an arduous task, let alone the subsequent battle with the Sabertooths and stealing the Golden Roasted Meat.
This was why S-class professions were so rare—achieving an S-rank score was immensely difficult.
If Su Mu didn't have the Abyss Summoner class or its unique Abyssal Summon talent, he might have attempted the method of stirring up a conflict. But now, with dozens of subordinates at his disposal, it was clear what to do: just crush everything in his path!
Su Mu took out a scroll. When opened, a map of the forest appeared in front of him—it was the map of the beginner dungeon.
This was one of the items he had obtained earlier. After all the killing, he had acquired over 20 items, though most were ordinary.
Only the map had some value.
The map clearly marked the location of the Goblin camp and the Sabertooth BOSS's location.
In fact, the map divided the beginner dungeon into four areas: three forests and a cliffside.
At the bottom of the cliff was a cave—this was where the Ice and Fire Sabertooth BOSS resided. The three forests were positioned to the left, center, and right of the cliff.
The forest directly in front of the cliff was the Goblin territory, where Su Mu was currently located.
The other two forests contained scattered monsters with no organized groups.
Su Mu's plan was simple: he would go straight to the Goblin camp, wipe them out, summon even more Abyssal creatures, and then head to the Sabertooth BOSS.
Su Mu examined the map, compared it with his current location, and then led his army of monsters towards the Goblin camp.
Mounted on the Unihorn Demon Panther, Su Mu was swiftly carried through the forest. The panther moved gracefully, leaping through the trees, covering great distances in a short time.
Behind him, the army of monsters quickly followed. The Azure-eyed Demonic Spiders, as big as millstones, scuttled along with their eight legs moving at incredible speed, catching up within moments.
The Skeleton Soldiers, with their bone bodies, clattered behind, marching forward with clanging steps.
The Vampire Bats had already flown ahead, scouting the way. Su Mu had them do this to ensure no other players would discover his location.
As they moved deeper into the forest, a signal from the Vampire Bats alerted him—there was a Goblin patrol up ahead.
